To me what is silly is people demanding instant gratification, like a customer at a restaurant demanding a salmon dinner, the restaurant literally having no salmon, and them demanding the restaurant go get more. Then when the chef explains there is a Salmon shortage because of an environmental disaster like an oil spill, that the restaurant literally cannot get any Salmon no matter how much they would be willing to pay for it, the customer continues to demand more Salmon, convinced, somehow, that the chef has it in their power to get more when there isn't any.
Not the best analogy, I know.
