yes. because if you que now. that is when you will log in. lol
The very implication you're trying to make with that is out of touch, you're out of touch if you even think this is anywhere near those trainwrecks.
That's right, let's take a moment to vent and get it out of our systems.
Is this what happens to the forums following the influx of players from...that other place?
QUEUEWALKER
This is what happen to the forums when we are stuck in queue for hours and hours having to stand still in front of the screen in case of a 2002!
I thought that too (I came from SWTOR) but older players said that this was the same on the other xpacs launches (also, is the same on every launch for a game, this one past the queues is flawless for people that get to play (I wasn't able to play this weekend because of the queues a 7k queue is like my normal playtime, but eventually I'll do, the game is going nowhere.)
I don't get it.
First of all, in 2021 no one should be surprised to find queues in the first few days of LITERALLY THE MOST POPULAR MMO ON THE MARKET, especially after two years of pandemic that made it harder to dedicate new servers to it, and after experiencing a mass influx of refugees from other games.
Secondly, it's not like it is impossible to play. I just finished the MSQ myself, after playing for 3 days from 8 AM to 2 AM. I took days off work to play. And there are no queues at 8 AM (and I am in the EU, apparently the worst region in terms of server capacity).
I am aware not everyone can dedicate this amount of time to a game, but again, if you can't set a few days aside for this then I surmise that it won't also be a problem to wait a few more days for the queues to calm down. No one is chasing anyone.
Bouncer 2002
I'm definitely disappointed but, I'm not upset with SE. They couldn't really plan for this, and they couldn't predict the budget for this number of players.
that's logic, I've been saying that all of this is because there are lots of people that don't know how to deal with frustration or need some kind of emotional intelligence because there is no good in being that mad and angry towards a game like this.
people that say "I paid then I deserve" are just delusional, IF you paid, then was YOUR work to learn how things go. there are people mad complaining, and there are calm people (like us) and we are calm because WE KNEW this could happen, why in the holy f*ck people thought that the N°1 game of the moment wouldn't have queues on the launch of an xpac.
Correct.
I do not complain. I prepared. I set my schedule and my free time so that I could do what I wanted: i.e., play the game at launch.
Next time, set aside some time for your hobby and rest assured you will be able to play. Wake up early in the morning, for example, and I can guarantee you that you will log in no problem.
If you don't put effort into it, don't be jealous of people who do.
No, actually. The WoW refugees have actually been pretty good about all of this, of those that are in the new content. While frustrated, they're also not used to the fact of getting regular, proper communication from the devs, so I think the sheer amount to which SE gives us a heads up has given them enough vs. WoW devs, that they're not too put out by it.
Your "be prepared" and "don't be jealous" comments were sort of dumb. I am NOT jealous of anyone that gets to play the game; let alone finish the MSQ or stayed logged in without disconnects or error messages. Actually happy for people that get to. I just think that you are on a higher horse than others so you can't put yourself in other shoes that don't have it as lucky or well as you.
I have all the free time in the world, but it's a gamble as to when you're able to "beat the queues" and on top of that actually stayed logged in (without the random errors). I did have a good run Friday and Saturday, but today seems the worst luck for me and maybe others.
Hope they fix it and I mean actually fix it, not just have it fixed by less people trying to log in.
You are right in assuming that I had no errors (or, at least, a very limited amount).
Still, if as you say you have all the time in the world, I am sure you probably tried to log in early in the morning. There are no queues, at that time (well, maybe 100 people or so, but they go by quickly).
The thing is, what many people don't understand is that devs can't simply "throw more servers" at their game. Even if that was possible (and the current shortage of hardware components is not exactly helping) it would not be financially viable: as the rush of people playing on release day subsides, those "additional servers" would be useless.
In other words, it would be a waste of resources that ultimately is not sustainable for the company. Personally I prefer they invest that cash into game content, rather than servers that would only help in the first week or so.
You can't understand that we was aware they will be queue and it's not the problems the problems is the queue don't mean anything! Got 2hours in queue got no1 and kicked out with a error 4002 and got kick back at 4500. Sorry to have a IRL life and not able to to long on at 7am and stay on for 18 hours! If we could see the Queue oh I got a few hours I will go take a walk or doing lundry or anything else but no we have to stand still in front of the screen in case we get kick out and try to rush back in praying to keep our place in queue!
It not viable/possible to upgrade server so STOP taking new subs it's not like did was not aware they could not manage but was still continuing to sell copie and take new subs.
.
I was able to log on today, although the time I was on was maybe 1 hour and 45 minutes; and sadly of that time logged on it was laggy for me and anyone I was playing with (had to check with them to confirm it wasn't me). Then the rest of the time was queue and many many errors with many queue line resets. So the issue I see to this is it's completely random. You might get in and you might get errors and stay in queue or have your queue place set back to the end of the line. I think that's where most of the community that is having bad luck getting in to play sits with this.
I didn't say anything about servers and I don't know what would need to happen to fix the issue. I just hope that there is a fix and not just waiting for less people trying to log in as the fix. I don't want to see less players here, I don't think any of us do.

I'm disappointed that the OP didn't made it "Final Fantasy 2046" *random Lala laugh*
