Who do you hope Will Die?!!!

I hope that in the opening scene of Endwalker Zenos just lops off both of the Twins heads and then Urianger try’s to say some long speech and gets turned to stone. Who do you hope bites the dust =)

All the scioms, every grand company leader. Most of all hydlyan

I have a feeling there is going to be a whole lot of FF4 and a lot of the Scions are going to kick the bucket. I feel like many of the Scions have very little to add to their character arcs. Wouldn't surprise me if they all die or get removed for a while.

I wouldn't mind Lyse dying. She feels like such a throwaway character at this point. I feel they were more interesting as Yda.

Maybe a single scion, but I'm not expecting anything too crazy as far as character deaths go.

Maybe one or two.

Fordola
grumpy and standoffish warcriminal responsible for like half of all on screen deaths in stormblood

Drop Zenos and Fandaniel in a hole somewhere, never to be seen again.

Otherwise, nobody unless it's actually well-done and meaningful. No cheap shock deaths.

Alisaie Yshtola and Zenos. They haven’t contributed much to the story at all and they’re beyond boring and annoying.

Zenos, before he can touch any of the Scions. :(

I'm looking forward to killing Fandaniel.

Among our allies, I'd most like to see Lyse bite it.
Conversely, if whoever dies is going brought up endlessly for years within the game (like Hauchefaunt), I'd probably most like to see Alisaie go; it'd be the most genuinely sad death IMO.

Zenos and Graha. Off screen. At the "hands" of a massive 18 wheeler that doesn't even try to stop.

Who do I think will die (if anyone does)? Thancred, Urianger or Krile. Thancred has generally finished his arc. Urianger would likely sacrifice himself as repayment for all of the deception he's been at the center of in the past. Krile because, as beloved as she is, she's mostly just been a sideline character who could be removed from play without really impacting all that much. If Krile went we would have nearly all of the impact of losing a mainline scion without nearly any of the associated cost.

Alphanaud and his sister, I want them to die as soon as possible cause I dont wanna hang out with obnoxious teenagers the whole game.

I don't really hope anyone dies necessarily, I just hope if characters do, that their deaths do their arcs justice and work well with the overarching narrative. After Shadowbringers, I feel that Ishikawa and the rest of the MSQ team will be able to pull that off.

But, a character death for the sake of a character death is just a cheap way to make something seem more important than it actually is, so I'm hoping they're just extremely well done when they are done.

I'm hoping for at least one or two major deaths where the Scions/City State leaders are concerned. The premise of Endwalker is supposed to be the second coming of the apocalypse so it'd be strange if nobody of note ends up dying.

G'raha, Urianger, Y'shtola, Alphinaud or Alisae would be my picks. Other then those five, I'd like Zenos to go away permanently.

Part of me hopes none of them die... even Thancred, who I once did not like deserves to live (Although given his arc, I do think he is a likely subject to bite the Gunblade)

Agreed on those choices.

I don't think anybody of importance will die. FFXIV doesn't really kill off characters. The ones they have killed off were mostly side characters that were introduced in the same expansion lol

Alisaie and Graha, the main character worship is easily the worst thing about this game and these two are the worst at it.

No story buildup. No climax, just suddenly, while he's out brooding or whatever useless thing he does. Splat.
I do NOT want him to get a SECOND resolution to the SAME damn character motivation that he had in SB. His presence needs to be a total red herring.

The rest, I don't want to die, but I'd like to see their active participation in the plot just stop.

Y'shtola's death teasing needs to stop, either she goes, or is permanently disabled (for real, not just 'cause it adds a neat texture to here character model while she continues to function the same way she always has).

Alphinaud has a huge deathflag hanging over him with how much SE is giving him the spotlight, I'm entirely expecting him to sacrifice himself to be some kind of load-bearing pillar of reality (venat.2) I'd rather have the children just.. get grounded from playing life-threatening adventure games... But I know SE is gonna make him God or something..
Same with Allisae. She's probably gonna go rogue and venture out on her own once alphinaud becomes God, (or she'll sacrifice herself to be the devil or something because "balance of power" and twins thing) But, I'd like to see her take a more supportive role instead of leading the charge so many times and everyone just following the child into danger.... (I just have serious problems with how these two are used in the story, and it hurts me how much SE is pushing for them to be The Protagonists of Final Fantasy XIV.)

I really don't want thancred to go, but damn do I feel it coming. I'd rather him just settle down and become the twins' new dad or something to (not) kill 2 birds with 1 stone.

Well with how big the death flag was for Alphinaud on the launch trailer i can't really think of anyone else

Zenos, g'raha, and y'sthola.

But we all know y'sthola will be just fine after doing another fake out death again, since she's the ffxiv face for marketing.

Regarding of that, I think it's likely she actually join us for the next adventure instead of going to the First like many people speculated, because new version of y'sthola = more money for the devs (mogstation costume, ffxiv representation for collab, mogstation minion, etc).

Would love to be wrong though.

I feel like the MSQ has largely involved the growth and development of the twins. I wouldn't be surprised if one, or both, died.

This feels like a maybe unpopular opinion but like... None of the main (friendly) cast lol

I will say I'm kinda shocked Arenvald hasn't died though and won't be surprised if he does. He's been putting up some pretty big death flags for a while now.

But yeah, I actually like all of the Scions, thought Papalymo's death was ultra annoying because "Yda" was only ever interesting because of her dynamic with him before Stormblood, and while I absolutely cannot stand Kan-e-Senna I also don't really care enough about her to care much if she dies or not.

I'm expecting Fandaniel to die, and if I don't get to stab Zenos in some poetically dramatic way then I will be sorely disappointed.

Thinking about it I also won't be surprised if the twins' dad ends up dying somehow. Idk why. He just gives me that vibe.
