Monk Leaden Fist - Quick Question

Hey folks,

Real quick - in EW will Monks see any visual indication of Leaden Fist being active on the Bootshine action or as part of the update job gauge? Currently We can only tell by a) remembering and b) tiny buff icon in buff bar.

I think it'd be great to have a visual indication other than the buff which is small and tends to get lost in the shuffle of other buffs.

Also, before the inevitable "just remember when you Dragon Kick" - I personally do, like 99% of the time. But I can forget during mechanics and I know I'm not the only one who feels this important Monk mechanic could use some form of better spotlight on the UI outside of the buff icon. Missing Leaden hurts the soul of Ivon Coeurlfist.

As of EW you'll still be only able to see Leaden Fist via the tiny buff icon, which is a shame because it can get easily lost amidst the chaos if you play with jobs like AST or DNC.

Personally I think it should straight up get the Raiden Thrust treatment, in other words, an animation change and an icon change in your bar to indicate its activation. It would be a lot better than trying to spy the buff icon.

Totally agree, just a red light stuck on the chakra gauge would do me, what I have done is separate my own buffs from other peoples buffs in my UI this way its easier to keep track of it, helps me with Twin Snakes also

So there's still a small change they'll adjust the job's gauge to reflect it. That said, I wouldn't count on it.

Leaden Bootshine not turning into a full on ORA ORA ORA is the fattest of missed opportunities.

I mean, same. Just mentioning that there's still a small chance further updates will be made beyond what they've shown us already.

To add to this, if you check the preliminary notes, you'll have the ability to set your personal procs and buffs to a different section, which means you can have Leaden Fist set up in a place that's front and center for you, and where it won't be lost in others' stuff.

Then you can make it as large and as visible as you like.

How wrong I was.

As someone who is swapping to Monk for EW as my first melee, this makes me relieved. But I feel for long-time monks who are seeing the class watered down.
