1. White mage has always been worst of the worst. always getting nerfed always having abilities changed. healer devs need to change there thoughts about making white-mage newbie healer past 50 realise everyone should have a right to do content. this job needs better utility not just reducing damage but increasing damage too. cause everyone knows people love to do damage. so if they have ulitity that increases other ppls damage then they get same treatment as ast . squire-enix needs release this is well loved job not a trash dumb. or healer training wheels there people love this job need fancy new things play with too
2. Dark Knight has a lot abilities currently are just need be changed living dead. dark mind. dark missionary. blood weapon. being drain tank only having souleater and abyss drain. not getting enough hp back. sadly enough being class made 85% attack skills deals low amounts of damage needs be addressed you have two handed sword and yet paladin with 1 handed sword deals more damage then you
3. Bard has long way coming. players that really love bows. this job needs most love right now. deciding factor what this jobs gonna do, is it gonna do. could they change it to ranger. and move bard to healer. or they work on its songs make it less a meme job and more fun to play give it away to put damage over time effects on everytime. give it ability truely shines and screams bard. over all fine polish from 1-100
4. scholar needs break apart from summoner. being its only individual job. there 2 ways you can do this. scholar is connected arcanist. and arcanist is turned into level 1 healer. or summoner and unlock scholar at 30.
this means they can work on summoner/scholar abilities 1-100 without completely breaking the other. scholar had history being really overpowered hence being overpowered it has made it extremely boring

Or make them percent based instead of raw number
Like second wind has a longer cd so make it 60% of max hp healed
And cure walts is shorter so 30% of max ho recover would be a easy fix -

I've run into some people in game that only tried healing because of that free unlock, and some of them had more fun with it than summoner.

as a WHM main, I do not feel constantly "nerfed" and really enjoy the job. just because another job does something, does not mean that everyone thinks every job should. not sure why most suggestions on these forums lately is about making more jobs the same as all the others and removing what uniqueness there is. -

All I know is that Scholar needs to have something done about it because at this point I cannot think of a good reason to play what is as of this moment the most boring job in the entire game compared to Sage, which actually has more than 2 buttons to press for damage.

Dark Knight for sure, it's the only Tank that has to bargain with their DPS in order to get a defensive as well as having the worse "emergency" cooldown. I swear, if TBN used Dark Arts instead of Mana it already be a step up, though Dark Arts would probably need to be reworked in order to fit that, I think the best solution would be to nerf it a little and make it CD based rather than mana based.

If WHM, DRK, BRD or SCH needed a rework I think it would have happened for 6.0.
WHM has been the most popular healer, DRK has been one of the most popular tanks in ShB, BRD was one of the most popular DPS in Stormblood because it was really fun to play and hasn't changed a lot since then so it should still be fun, SCH is fine but more technical because you need to combine heals sometimes and I could see that being changed eventually. -

In my opinion BRD is fine. We'll have to see how it plays in Endwalker, but I like how it plays currently. DRK...yeah, I think that needs a bit more work. Personally, I find it fun for what it is, but it's not as engaging as the other tanks for me. I can't really comment on the healers since I hate healing and only leveled them for the Amaro mount. lol

Scholar/Ast is meta has been ever sense ast release. this is in most 8 man groups however 4 man its bit different. however idea healer depending on level really doesn't matter.
Problem is how overtuned scholar/ast is and has really boring dps kit. white mage doesn't really need all those heal buttons but we have them anyway. other healers are over all have ulitity/damage/healing, thinks white mage has does not
please note art of increasing sameone damage in a whole is beyond broken and creates healer favoritism. as much we love ast and scholar have these things other healers need them too. stop this favoritism
I can prove to you without a doubt with 6 button combo that scholar out heals white mage. nothing white mage can do about it.
Seraph + Fey Illumination + Whispering Dawn + Consolution + indominability + Exco Tank. consolution + sarced soil + Disspation. lustrate tank + emeracgy tactics + alpo + lustrate tank fey blessing. lustrate tank aetherpact psyheal tank alpo when needed
please note i dont even get finish this combo cause amounts im healing in first 5 abilities is enough keep everyone at 100% anything after that is complete overheal if we going by healing numbers alone. we add up a over 200k healing within 25-30 seconds
Deploy tactics when really beafy sheild is placed on the tank and more then 1 person can get it
normally this is mix between healing team avoidable damage and healing tank directly
white mage is way more simply then that rotation is very simple. this endwalker rotation
Thin Air + Medica 2 Afflatus rapture or assize to heal big damage aoe
Thin Air + raise
Endwalker - Cure has 500 potency - cure 2 800 potency
when asylum is up. regen cure, cure, cure free cure II (not really fishing for it but cure getting somewhat 100 potency increased and asylum gives regen + stacks with regen also got potency increase.
transience's when right before party tanks big damage. plantery indulgence + medica heal it up. thin air medical 2. or cure 3 when used with stacking mechanics. other wise hard to pull off with 6 yalm radius
white mage can only pull off a total 122k healing within 30 seconds. this is adding cast-times to there cure spells. its cause share speed that scholar out heals you if all 3 healers where to heal there max under 30 second timer. white mage be last on that list
Keep eye out for tank busters and use aquaveil + divine bansion help a tank out. and use your long list of on crap buttons keep tank toped or stop them dieing dont just use aquaveil just because you think tank is bad your not using it right. not real defensive cooldown its defensive cooldown combo ability that you can use with your other healers defensive cooldowns or a tanks defensive cooldowns -

White Mage should be made toward even more DPS. Cuz let's be honest: people think of WHM for both powerful heal and powerful DPS among healers. Add extra full-bloomed Lily holders. Make everything proc a blood lily pip.
Divine Bension break? Blood Lily.
Critical/Direct Hit with Glare? Blood Lily.
Dia expires at full duration? Blood Lily.
Assize is used? Blood Lily
You successfully rez someone? Blood Lily.
And more importantly, every three use of Misery will let you use a super Misery! -

Well i like my white mage so far, nothing to change for me (Ok a self resurrect would be nice for me) , but i also just play casual content, no hardmode. Maybe there its different. The other classes i have not played yet, next will be Paladin. Maybe less of a die :D

Yeah, Whm is just fine, just got to understand it fills the role for those that like pure healing and such, if you want support/utility go Ast if you want dps go Sge. Now Sch could certainly use a rework, its only got midigation going for, prolly best in the game now next to straight up tanks, but its kit is just such a bore and fairies including Saraph are si underwhelming now.

I think with a raw healing output comparison, Cure 1 is not really the way to go if you want to point out whm issues. In essence you create issues where there are none most if the time :D I mean, where’s Solace, Tetra, Benediction? Most fights revolve around a specific kind of flow between ST and aoe phases, and whm’s cd’s reflect, and play into those from what I’ve seen so far. Personally I feel whm is a great healer, with a nice flow, strong cd’s, good reactive healing potential. I thoroughly enjoy it.

Scholar is fine, the only thing that needs work is the counter-intuitive interactions between the fairy gauge / dissipation.
I think Bard is good, truthfully. It was the most widely praised job in Stormblood and it's not like it's changed rotationally there much. I think the ranged phys role in general needs to lean more heavily into being the "support category" again. From what I gather the issue is the role in general as opposed to how the job is functionally to play.
Dark Knight - yes, absolutely. Don't get me wrong, I don't think its previous iterations were amazing either, HW was a mess that just happened to benefit from being the "magic tank" while PLD wallowed in its useless physical leanings (but it did have Scourge...mmm..). But I think it could do with a fresh start. It feels so plain, the Dark Arts damage buff might as well not exist...most of the new stuff is just traits. I think they should lean back into the MP management a bit more again, but give it a new system that isn't just "Warrior but black and purple". It just feels like it doesn't really have its own identity compared to the other tanks any more. I'd maybe even consider Warrior having a rethink too because like Drk it's just so plain...the only difference is you occasionally have to maybe think about your +dmg buff on WAR, and it having more flavoursome defensive CDs. Living Shadow would be cooler if it was more interactive somehow. Also TBN is unusually over-praised, it's not all that, especially looking at the other tank party shield upgrades in EW. It's an iconic job in the series as a whole, so it's really sad to see it as such a generic tank. I know EW isn't out yet, but I think it's fair that DRK mains are underwhelmed. -

It's too early to tell but...
No job requires a rework anymore.
Most of them works fine and SMN was the very last job with major ability bloat/mechanics that can't function with the game.
However most jobs requires a few balance and rework on abilities.
On Tank side, they all look perfect except DRK.
Living Dead is a living nightmare, Drain Abyssal and Dark mind still here for some reason. Also, Bloodweapon.
On Healer side, they all look fine, SCH will change a lot due to 1.50s cast.
It may, however, see a small rework of the gauges as the fairy gauge is now tied to only one ability. Only thing they could do is finally listening to the player base and add more than 3 DPS buttons.
On Melee side, nothing to report.
MNK got its rework, SAM needs no rework, DRG needs no rework, NIN had its light rework, RPR is a new job.
Only thing I can think about is MNK finally able to overcap Chakra.
On Caster side, nothing to report.
BLM and RDM still works very fine and SMN gets a rework.
On Ranged side, it's the whole role that needs to be reworked, the "Support DPS" theme doesn't exist anymore and role skills are lackluster.
MCH got a rework but needs a few abilities to see a light rework (Flamethrower, Wildfire, give HC the stack system...).
BRD is a complex topic to me but so far it seems to work and SQEX finally added utility and charges on Bloodletter.
DNC is a new job that works fine.
Most jobs only needs an expansion on their gauges, reworked clunky abilities.
There is no job that is a cluster of problems like SB MCH, SB DRK or SHB SMN. -

Overall I'm pretty happy with the way Bard is right now. Without knowing how it'll play in 6.0, it's difficult to say what might need to change with 7.0, but here are my general thoughts.
1. Make our attacks less reliant on RNG. For example, every 3 Heavy Shots procs Straight Shot Ready.
2. Make Bard a large-area AoE buffer and Dancer a small-area buffer. Maybe also make Bard's buffs more ranged/caster-oriented and Dancer's more melee-focused so there's less overlap but more benefit to the group when both are present. -

The jobs I think should get a revamp are:
1.) Dark Knight (Tank)
It a shame that they lost their identity to play like Warrior. I wouldn’t mind the return of dark arts especially since Sage is getting a similar mechanic. Maybe mixed in with some draining mechanics they are dark knights after all and they are known for draining and expelling their health to deal damage.
2.) Scholar (Healer)
While SCH is good mechanically, poor SCHs are looking a bit stale especially with the new flashy healer. I know that Eos and Selene are the same individual in the lore but it would be cool if we could summon both at the same time, and if Selene got a unique identity again. Giving them a more interesting dps kit would also be nice, they are tactical units for god sake.
3.) Black Mages (Mage)
While all the mages have a great identity, BLM leveling process needs to be reviewed the rotation changes so drastically almost every capstone.
4.) Melee (None)
5.) Bard (Range)
I have a feeling that this will be resolved with the next set of jobs we receive in 7.0 but Bards should definitely focus more on support like Dancer. -

WHM is good and just needs a few skills tweaked. Lily bell in particular.
SCH needs a SMN level rework. Ghosting still happening and abilites dont mesh well together at all.
DRK needs a complete rework from the ground up. Currenlty endgame is a mess and leveling is a mess.
BLM needs its leveling to be reworked so it doesnt feel like a completely different job every 10 levels.
BRD is going in a good position in EW but needs more tweaking. -

now u have tons of Aoes on long CD , abysall drain 60s why? is an aoe with some selfhealing is like a joke is that supposed to be DRK equilibrum , clemency , or aurora ?
salted earth long cd and now with a new skill to make it "worth" , the shadow clone yawn (i feel the same way for mch queen) fire and forget pets are cool the first 5 times , then u use it like a big cd dot with a cool animation
SCH , issues are well know
brd is in the middle of nowhere but it still works , btw the new dmg buff needs the brd to do the full rotation ...so no dmg buff on pulls if im not mistaken.
mch has issues (FT , hyper , wildifre , queen ) but the gameplay is solid.
nin the new raiton skill chain has 2 gap closers,that sounds cool on paper , but how DRG will feel if SE forced the jumps on rotation or jumps breaked the melee chains...
blm synced experience is miserable blm changes rotation every X lvls , dunno if that changes come 6.0 but ugh -

In my opinion I think the whole combat system should be changed, more slow paced so that abilities and skills feel more impactful. If it stays the way it is, it's fine also. I'm just thinking long run with all the buttons and actions it's becoming a bit crazy.
