Simple question - what gameplay adjustments are you most looking forward to with the next expansion.
For me it's either Paladin / Warrior / Astrologian
I might vote Warrior, even if Nascent Flash was nerfed.

how exactly was nascent flash nerfed?
not healing as much during aoe in the lowest level of content where it shouldn't even be needed anyways is not that impactful
bloodwhetting also gives a shield, a ton of damage reduction, and much bigger individual heals. Maybe the strongest tank skill in the game as it's currently being shown
Nascent Flash was nerfed because it's a fixed 400 potency heal when in ShB it is whatever your damage is, which could be as high as 920 potency or a crit-DH Fell Cleave. It may work out not being that much of a difference, or it may depend whether you are soloing something or doing aoe.
MNK personally.
Masterful Blitz looks like just a fun system to learn so I'm looking forward to it.
Red Mage because it's fancy :)
Red Mage! It fixes AoE in a similar way I had hoped for and tossing in some extra sprinkles on top. It looks really fun in Endwalker.
Add another to Red Mage for me. I was terrified they would break a class that was already in a place where it just worked and felt great to play. Instead, it really does seem like they not only shored up the one spot that was really lacking on the class (the boring and listless AoE) but also added new utility and a slight rework of the meter build/spend mechanic that will make it even more fun to use. Plus the new ender skill looks gorgeous!
I know that we're supposed to hate it, but I'm hype for NIN chidori and would like to see how it actually plays out before jumping on the bandwagon.
1. Healers in general. I was specifically telling people that if the only Job among the healers to have a 1.5s cast on its filler damage was Astrologian that I wouldn't be playing any other healer. So of course every healer gets that now, which means I'll have to decide which one I enjoy the most.
2. Gunbreaker. Already my staple tank pick, Job 1/2 I finished my Shadowbringers relic for, and they're just making it even faster than it is currently.
3. Red Mage. Staple DPS pick, Job 2/2 I finished Shadowbringers relic for, and they're really handing this job a lot of nice changes without overloading or drastically altering the job overall.
Red Mage because AoE won't be the most boring thing in the game anymore
Monk because I wanted it to get the Blitz mechanic so bad and I'm thrilled it happened
Paladin because it isn't the squishiest tank anymore (or at least squishy)
Ssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
Because I wanna throw triangles and squares at things with my shiny, floating light sabers.
Paladin has always been my favorite tank, and it looks even better in EW !
Summoner, no question. Future main and excited to see what new primals we get in 7.0 and beyond. Good riddance affliction warlock.
Dragoon, I just love the job and I'm liking the updates.
I'm excited SMN changes. For years many people wanted a way to temporarily summon Ifrit, Garuda and Titan to do their signature move like in Heaven on High and now we can.
It's also nice that spells appearance changes based on which Primal you have
I've played MNK since ARR.
Pain.
I am looking forward to MNK the most.
I actually like what I saw of SAM too tho, it already plays really nicely so I like that they just added something extra on top of it and the new big hitter looks awesome.
RDM actually looks really cool too I love the visuals of the line attack spell.
And GNB has only improved upon imo, another big two cart hitter and continuation on burst strike.
Really nice.
I'd say all of them looks amazing lol I feel like I want to play everything.
But I think that MNK, GNB and SAM is what I will stick with but I want to test Sage too and probably Reaper.
Issue I have is that Reaper will be so extremely popular and all over the place it was the same with SAM I only really started playing it after it had calmed down I don't like playing the same as everyone else.
Other than Summoner's job changes?
Probably warrior.
I sidelined it all through Shadow Bringers for a lot of small nit picky reasons and Endwalker looks to be ironing most of those out. I'm looking forward to getting back into it~
SMN by a mile. I'm looking forward to the DoT management being gone and for the new primal abilities at 90 that will make the job feel like an actual summoner akin to previous FF games or FFXI. The only way it could be better would be if I could have Titan stomping around with me like in XI ;p
Speaking of Titan, his part of the rotation is what I'm most excited for, since I love earth-based magic and they took that away from WHM
but your ignoring the 20% damage reduction and self shield and that nascent flash is exactly the same skill as bloodwhetting just for other people and there's no more opportunity cost between nascent flash and raw intuition problem and equilibrium heals even more and shake it off heals too.
It's not about the same, it's way better to kind of a ridiculous degree. Much more and warrior will be healing itself more than healers can
but to the threads original question probably just summoner and black mage on top of staying the course with warrior. Black mage may be overly busy though since it seems like they added a lot of stuff to take enochian's place
Machinist
The gameplay reveal and overview makes it an epic gunslinger...Wyatt Earp aint got nothing on me....:):D
SMN, might actually end up playing it a bit more this expac
- All healers getting a 1.5 second cast time to their damage spell
- AST shield stance being removed
- Reaper!!!
Not really into summoner dots beings removed. There aren't many jobs with 2 dots (Bard?) and now none have the Bane mechanic. They should give Scholar back their other dot and give them Bane and Shadow Flare. Deleting them for Art of War made healers too similar.
I also don't like how Delirium is, again, a Warrior skill but without the damage bonus.
Reaper is an improvement over other melees because it doesn't have any positionals in the main combo and it's possible to delay using the positional actions a little bit as long as you don't overcap the gauge.
No opinion atm, I have intentionally not looked much at it. Only job i seen some gameplay of is Reaper and it looks fine.
I'm surprised Gun Breaker changes aren't more appealing to some.
An already relatively well designed class that looks even better!
Summoner, in a "Lets see how it feels in my own hands" sense. I am aware it could end up feeling limited or whatever, but I want to test that out myself. Also I plan to make a new alt to see how leveling it feels.
I play summoner/scholar at the moment, and I’m looking forward to freedom from tracking dots!
Also, has anyone mentioned the moon? I’m looking forward to the moon!
I'm on Sage bandwagon, because it's a tech-looking healer and that was always my kind of gig... We have MCH and GNB for that feeling with other roles, but I finally can fulfill that as a healer now.
Other than that, probably MNK because it might be fun enough for me to consider it as my melee dpser instead of NIN!
Gunbreaker for me.
The job just improves perfection. I fully understand the concerns about Hypervelocity but if SQEX follows 5.4 and 5.5 boss design, I believe it won't impact a lot.
I'm also on the SGE bandwagon, even if the job will mainly be spamming 1 and healing through oGCDs in the endgame, it really sounds like it has a few trick up its sleeve in order to optimize content.
I'm looking forward to sage (guess I'm on the wagon too then). Even though a lot of nonscholar mains dont realize 80% of the kit is the same things scholar has. But that other 20% is some stuff to be really excited about.
Only reaper and sage.
But for the old jobs.. I would say summoner and gunbreaker.
Bump if I may!
I voted for WAR. The changes are largely welcome QOL, though it's my main job so I will get the most value out of it. That said, MNK is my secondary, and I do have much more to experience in that regard.
Probably reaper and blm.
Not looking forward to smn. I'll probably be changing my main
I'm looking forward to trying sage. Not sure how i'll feel about it once it's in my hands, but it is a new healer after all these years. TBH not sure how i'll feel about the sound effects, from what i've heard, some of them sound a little screechy. Or how i'll feel if i like it and have to grind my way from 70-80 before i can get into the meat of the new content.
I am looking forward to trying summoner. It was my favorite job thematically, and now it's looking to play like how i always wanted it to. Unfortunately scholar is in the meh zone come EW, but if i decide against sage first, i may do SMN/SCH first.
PLD all the way, literally everything that is already available but heavily upgraded, not bad at all.
SMN, I may not suffer migraine trying to understand its opener and rotation now lol
Aside from that, I'm more excited about SGE tbh. Just like with DNC at ShB release, I'll level SGE to 80 first and then continue the MSQ
Besides SMN, SGE, Reaper and Monk. I'm looking forward to the changes of Ninja and Bard the most.
