This is known, but nonetheless I would say it is a vast improvement over the current acquisition method.
One bad system on top of a bad system don't make it a good system
IMO the entire system needs an overhaul, but I wouldn't be surprised if the new purchase options (like the lottery) were used for the new wards and the old wards stayed as is.
That was summarized at https://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/...=1#post5614790
specifically:
Lots will be way harder to obtain because way more players will try their luck
and people will still complain and insinuate that lotteries are "rigged". lol
RMT bots would fill up lottery enmass.....
It's going to be way worse in terms of odds of getting a house. It will improve gameplay, though, since you will no longer need to sit around.
Those who prefer the lottery will still have no reason to complain about camping since the lottery wards will be catering to them.
Those going after the houses in the first come. first serve wards will also have no reason to complain about camping because it's a choice they will have made. They will have the option to switch to using the lottery in the lottery wards.
They'll all still complain, of course, because most of them still won't be able to get a house. None of these changes are adding more plots to the system, they're just shuffling how purchasing is done.
Even the number of plots being added with Ishgard will not be sufficient to deal with demand on NA and EU, and a few of the JP worlds as well.
No one has to sit around now. Many players have recently bought houses just by showing up at the right time.
It's the player's personal choice to spend their time camping placards over playing the rest of the game.
The only Hyur listed that was their puppet wasThe other Hyurs listed were not connected to the Monetarists.Laurentius and it could be argued he was more Ilberd's tool than Lolorito's since he was still serving Ilberd at Baelsar's Wall. Ilberd made it clear he was using Lolorito as much as Lolorito was using him. He was out to further his goal of liberating Ala Mhigo at any cost and Lolorito's money was helpful.
There are plenty of "malicious creatures" within the lore among all the original races (I'm sure SE will get around to picking on Au Ra, Viera and Hrothgar more in time).
Definitely agree about Goblet's problem. I know some players don't like the color palette but I like the mostly neutral tones with the occasional splash of vibrant color. The problem is the layout. A house is either staring at Brimming Heart (which is boring in design), a wall or empty air because of the deep wide canyons surround it. Placing it in an open desert with desert fauna (which can be quite beautiful) to look at would have been a major improvement. It's like they designed Lavender Beds and Mists, then ran out of time so took major shortcuts with Goblet.
