I'm nervous to ask but, can anyone please draw my character?
I wish I was an artist myself but my talents fall short in that department.
I love this outfit so much it's the only thing my char wears.

Alright, I'm not begging someone for free art, I left that option open to anyone that was willing to do it and maybe offer me a price as to how much they would like to do it for, I mean I would definitely be happy to pay for your time and efforts. But, its also my fault for not making it clear.
On a side note I want to thank the people who weren't rude and gave me a few pointers on where to start as I am new on where to go for these requests.

Hmm. Not really into moogle muddling, might break my no commission rule, depending on what is requested if the op wants. It's that whole too simple it hard deal on the moogle items for me that would kill the deal and feel they be disappointed in the design. Though for anything else, I'd be glad to see what they want. Being free, negotiations are a possibility not really that hammered down to demand compensation right from the gate before proving what I can and can't do.

I don’t want to be rude but as an artist, art is how we make our living and pay for things like a game sub.
I do not draw but I’m sure you can find an artist who will be happy to commission a print or canvas. Or whatever medium you want.
For free is going to be a tough sell, maybe a high school artist or a young college student will be willing to draw for free to get “exposure”.
Seriously good luck in your search. It will be easier or faster if money is on the table. -

You can find a lot of artists who take FFXIV commissions via Twitter or Skeb.jp
You can even find them in party finder at times.

Maybe times changed from my freelance and contracted days, then it was normally, when one is seeking the art work (on something like a BB or forum) they made a request, the artist who is interested in said work will provide prices and samples. If buyer is willing they begin negotiations on what is wanted and what can and cannot be done or willing to do.
This whole, throw money on the table first theme to find artist seems... misleading. Artist should have set prices on what they do and wiggle room on certain aspects of different items with in and out of their area to expand and explore different styles and concepts or able to point said buyer to an artist that fits their interests.

The OP did clarify, but I think that most people when they read it how it was phrased at first makes it sound like they were essentially art begging which is generally frowned upon.
When someone comments on your art or private messages you '' can you draw me/ character please? '' and you start bringing up money it becomes very apparent 9 out of 10 times.
Usually that's not how people approach artists when they want to commission them. -

Given the 15year run I had. It is clear it was an innocent request with really no hidden motive. Most free art begging often indicates a direct approach with little to no regards of the element in the media or the artist and pretty easy to see.
Let alone free art beggers wouldn't try to make straight of a silly misunderstanding while others hammer down, how dare the OP make such a request while not offering any compensation.
They expressed a nervousness to making the request and seems hastily typed. Came back to clarify. Made an off hand comment wishing they had skill equal to and confirmed that the community isn't as welcoming as it appears while still thanking them for the additional information on how to locate more artists.
As I said interesting responses. -

May not be identical, nor meant to be at the moment, but here is the idea that came when looking into the OP's character. Obvious draft to get posture and idea of what they are looking for. Since they didn't detail style or aspect of really what they want, I just went with an idea while they had to endure what they did and if they maybe lurking in their thread still.
