Field Notes are ANNOYING

I am stuck on three field notes, and no matter what I do, they just will NOT drop.

Half the time someone gets there before me, even though I'm using breathless on a cloud bike, and poof no credit.

Tanks don't work as much as people tell you to, though it does help.

Still no drop. It's honestly getting tedious with all these lost actions that make people way too powerful.

On top of this, I feel like people just don't care about making parties outside of CEs anymore. It's become a miserable endeavor to farm these things.

Field Notes should be tradable for Bozjan Coins. We need a way other than the fates, because when one just refuses to drop on end, it SUCKS. :/

If I remember correctly, there are few field notes that will only drop from Duels :/ kinda sucks, yes.

Bike mount is tempting, but duels are just not my thing, so I decline everything.

none exclusively drop from duels
duels just guarantee the drop, Lyon can drop from CLL third chest, Sart drops from Of Steel and Flame and dabog can drop from Murder Death Kill,

but yes a way to buy them would be great 5000 bozja coins for 5 star 50 gold 50 plat etc for each zone

Just went out of the Red Comet CE and apparently I can't dodge to save my butt so 1vs1 duel is a no-no for me.
Who design this whole collecting Field Notes mechanic and think 'hmm..player really had a lot of fun farming atma back then. They really love it. Let's bring it back in full force.'
NOOOO. IT'S NOT FUN.

It helps fill the map which would look good I guess. But it's not fun.

I don't even make or join a party for CEs.

Yeah. I'll probably piece together what's what and go after what I need. What I'm missing the most from is Zadnor, which is no surprise given it just came out. Still, certain ones shouldn't be so hard to obtain. Lyon's note from Castrum is one of those. If anything, having to get a group together to tackle that content should mean the drop rate should be reasonable. I don't need it or others to be 100%, but a little bit of a boost would be nice. As far as the note from Castrum goes, I'll just hit up the weekly every week and not run myself into the ground over it. The weekly will definitely help keep Castrum a bit more lively, though I'm guessing eventually that will mostly be on Tuesdays.

But we can't say the same for the notes from the Southern Front area, right? There are people like me who play regularly (as in logging in every day) yet Dabog and Lyon note still eludes me.
It has been like 6 months already. That's the part where this grinding feel unfun.

That quote from Hyperia highlights the absolute failure of PvP Feast rewards. The devs have desperately been trying to convince people to give it a go yet it remains on life support. Why? Because people think they have no shot at scoring top 100, thus the carrot isn't appealing. It's the same with the Hairstyle, though it being sellable sort of made it manageable.

Exactly why I don't bother, plus PvP in this game sucks anyway. Still, I'd be tempted if I thought I had a chance of getting a desirable item; if I thought it was more attainable - time and effort.

I think it's a nice system! It makes you spend time in a zone and grind it, increasing the longevity of the content. I had all but the 3 from duels before, and now I'll get the ones from zadnor. I want to farm zadnor because I want to have max honors eventually, so I'm in no hurry, they will come to me as I do fates... and in the end the few that are left I can focus down and farm.


I never did a duel, but I heard they are really easy now on caster, if you stack certain lost actions. Apparently that way you can kill them in 1 minute, which doesn't sound bad at all! The worst will be the gil investment to get such actions in the first place!

Just an FYI, there are multiple components to having a (rare) note drop and I'm thinking that the drop rate is not working as intended. I've opened a bug report for them to review the issue of the extremely low drop rates to see if it is, in fact, working as intended. If it is, great, but I think it needs to be reviewed, especially with the limited opportunities per day one has to obtain the card based on auto-spawn rates of fate chains and CE's.

Oddly enough that could be smoothed over if they put old season reward up for purchase via the wolf collar system.

Months since EW came out. Dozens of attempts and still certain notes just won't drop. So I'd say OP is on the money

What notes you looking for?

The hardest notes for me at least are 17, 44 and 45. I personally prefer 17 to the other two given you can get the same note drop in Dalraidia from that 3rd chest before you get the one you want. Yes some are a pain like 11 and 14 but they will drop eventually.

I've got 5 bikes so I've been through the slog more than once.

The fact that we still don't have any way other than duels or a CE/Skirm to get them is ridiculously bad design. Honestly though, most of Bozja's design with skirmishes and CE's is pretty bad and i'm not talking about the mechanics in them more so how to get some of them to spawn. There never should've been a "kill these guys until it decides to wants to exist" system, they instead should've just went with a timer for everything and once something popped and got taken down the next one on the timer should pop in....instead we've got this.

I'm about to just write it off as a dead concept and just not bother going back into it mount or not. Making something like this with such a poor system just ruins it.

Agreed. The need to kill enemies to trigger CEs means that instances can be very sparse on CEs depending on what activities people are doing. It wouldn't feel so bad if you earned mettle from individual enemies.
