Field Notes are ANNOYING

I am stuck on three field notes, and no matter what I do, they just will NOT drop.

Half the time someone gets there before me, even though I'm using breathless on a cloud bike, and poof no credit.

Tanks don't work as much as people tell you to, though it does help.

Still no drop. It's honestly getting tedious with all these lost actions that make people way too powerful.

On top of this, I feel like people just don't care about making parties outside of CEs anymore. It's become a miserable endeavor to farm these things.

Field Notes should be tradable for Bozjan Coins. We need a way other than the fates, because when one just refuses to drop on end, it SUCKS. :/

If I remember correctly, there are few field notes that will only drop from Duels :/ kinda sucks, yes.

Bike mount is tempting, but duels are just not my thing, so I decline everything.

none exclusively drop from duels
duels just guarantee the drop, Lyon can drop from CLL third chest, Sart drops from Of Steel and Flame and dabog can drop from Murder Death Kill,

but yes a way to buy them would be great 5000 bozja coins for 5 star 50 gold 50 plat etc for each zone

Just went out of the Red Comet CE and apparently I can't dodge to save my butt so 1vs1 duel is a no-no for me.
Who design this whole collecting Field Notes mechanic and think 'hmm..player really had a lot of fun farming atma back then. They really love it. Let's bring it back in full force.'
NOOOO. IT'S NOT FUN.

It helps fill the map which would look good I guess. But it's not fun.

Yeah. I'll probably piece together what's what and go after what I need. What I'm missing the most from is Zadnor, which is no surprise given it just came out. Still, certain ones shouldn't be so hard to obtain. Lyon's note from Castrum is one of those. If anything, having to get a group together to tackle that content should mean the drop rate should be reasonable. I don't need it or others to be 100%, but a little bit of a boost would be nice. As far as the note from Castrum goes, I'll just hit up the weekly every week and not run myself into the ground over it. The weekly will definitely help keep Castrum a bit more lively, though I'm guessing eventually that will mostly be on Tuesdays.

But we can't say the same for the notes from the Southern Front area, right? There are people like me who play regularly (as in logging in every day) yet Dabog and Lyon note still eludes me.
It has been like 6 months already. That's the part where this grinding feel unfun.

This is why we are all asking for an alternative or pity system. If a human is told something is totally RNG with no guarantee after a period of time, most will give up or never start the endeavor.

If the Devs were to say that you have do something XX number of times but you have a 10% chance of getting it early, people will do it.

They can plan it out and work on it in small bits but they know there is an end and they will get what they want.

That quote from Hyperia highlights the absolute failure of PvP Feast rewards. The devs have desperately been trying to convince people to give it a go yet it remains on life support. Why? Because people think they have no shot at scoring top 100, thus the carrot isn't appealing. It's the same with the Hairstyle, though it being sellable sort of made it manageable.

Exactly why I don't bother, plus PvP in this game sucks anyway. Still, I'd be tempted if I thought I had a chance of getting a desirable item; if I thought it was more attainable - time and effort.
