Hi, I’m from the achievement hunting community. Over the past week or so, many of us have been worried about something Yoshi-P said during the last live letter (from the unofficial reddit translation):

Diadem was also suspended for a time before its achievements were eventually removed and replaced by a new diadem. Will the same thing happen to the Feast achievements? We do NOT want any of the feast achievements to be removed!! Many of us aren’t done with these yet! Feast queues are infrequent, which makes these achievements difficult to get because we cannot do enough of the content. Ideally, we would like for all of the feast achievements to be grandfathered into the new PvP mode’s achievements; like what happened to the Fold’s achievements when Feast came out.
Can we get any clarification on what will be happening to these? (Please keep them all!)

I also, as a member of the achievement hunting community, would like to respectfully request that all the feast achievements remain and not be removed. Many of us have worked very hard and put in hundreds of hours for these achievements, titles, mounts, and minions.

You gonna lose some either way if there will be no more seasons. Ranked Achievements for reaching a certain tier.
It is already impossible to get the Light Party Ranking Tier ones because they never reused them after Season 4, when they had the chance to consolidate them during 'Team Season' which granted none achievements.
You also can never get lower tier achievements if you go for top100, they should be included if you reach the upper tiers...
They also could have used the original JP client english titles for a lot of the Feast Titles, instead of inventing new english sounding titles for already english titles...
Beta-Wolf is The Feast Slayer in the JP client as example.
Given how bad they use to communicate changes, you can probably count on that some of them may perish or be halted for a long duration until they figure out what they actually wanna do with PvP. -

Yes, please leave Feast available next expansion. Even if you end up largely ignoring it so you can focus on the new mode, just make it available. Let us achievement hunters keep working on these via community events. That's all we ask. There are discords where people set up training queues and tournaments that allow us to keep working on these little by little, but if you make the mode unavailable, or completely remove it, then we can't even do that :(
The achievement hunting community was already hurt a lot when we assumed Diadem achievements would be adapted, with no mention ever made during PLLs that this would not happen. We had to find out in the preliminary patch notes, a mere 4 days before they were made unobtainable. Those who wanted to get them had to pull 13-20 hours a day for 3-4 days to try to get these achievements in time; it was extremely grueling. We do not want a repeat of this for Feast. Please let us just keep working on these little by little, and if you're not, then please give us plenty of advanced notice, rather than a "possibility", so we can better organize community events to help people get matches and duke it out!
The achievement hunting community might be small, but we are very dedicated players. Please keep us in mind. -

I mean anything that can be abused as such deserves a suspension to look deeper in to it. Chasing achievements in feast for a lot of the players is just sabotage or coordinated folding...

I mean all I read is that they mentioned "temporary", not "permanent", so where is the problem in temporary removal to overhaul it to match the replayability of what is going to come out in 6.0? If the new content tops, they will temporarily disable Feast and work on it while we have fun with the new content, that way when Feast re-releases it will be able to compete properly and be refreshing / fun again.
I mean, for similar reasons we had other Frontline maps / Astralogos disabled (and sadly also Wolves' Den Pier + Lichenweed maps for feast). The only things that are in fact gone are The Fold / Feast 8v8, which is missed. -

Agreed with the OP. I really hope they do not remove the ability to work on these achievements in 6.0, considering there are a lot of them. I hope they will give us some more information about it in the near future.
On a side note, I wish people would queue for training mode. I really don't like scrubbing up ranked PVP to farm points, but queue doesn't pop at all, unfortunate. -

05-10-2021, 05:11 PMCeliWe're scared mostly because the last temporary suspension ended up not being temporary. SE said the diadem was going to be temporarily suspended, but then the preliminary patch notes said the old diadem (and its achievements) were going to be removed permanently, just a couple days before the removal. Most people who wanted to complete the achievements, or had already put hours into working on them, didn't have enough time finish.Quote:
