Connection server issues and timeouts on Lodestone

Hello! I am currently experiencing a "connection server" error when I attempt to log into FFXIV. I am also unable to open the Lodestone. It appears that there is some sort of disconnect between my location (Georgia) and the data center in California, if there isn't a more widespread outage.

My overall internet connection is fine, and this website loaded okay, but it's specifically XIV related things that are dead in the water, otherwise.

I am also experiencing this issue trying to connect to both FFXIV & FFXI. Not able to connect to any of the FFXIV websites, no the SquareEnix support website. I am using Spectrum internet from Minnesota.

I'm in the same boat here. I've been trying workarounds for a while and it was working just fine yesterday. Currently there appears to be an issue with the connection between us and them. We need a response to this as this prevents us from playing the game due to things out of our control(ISP is fine; SSL issues are not prevalent, FFXIVBOOT.cfg is not an issue, et cetera).

I don't know how widespread it is, but hopefully we can get a fix for this soon.

(Like the person below I can go to any website, just the game and ffxiv specific sites won't load. I am also on Spectrum and they dont' seem to know how the internet works.

I'm having the same issues (Windows 10, midwest Spectrum); can't access launcher, Lodestone, Mogstation, or log into forums through that connection. All other sites (and this forums without logging in) work.

I am currently logged in with my cellphone as a hotspot to my computer; apparently US Cellular can access these sites and allow login.

I spoke with Spectrum customer support 1-833-267-6094, and they insisted that it can't possibly be a site-specific thing on their end, even though I can access the other sites through another source. They did not even let me leave any of the site information in the ticket. (Shrug.)

Not sure if this is really a problem with SE or Spectrum at this point.

Spectrum in California, also seeing the same issue. Works fine when I use my phone as a hotspot (Verizon). But it's specific to na.finalfantasyxiv.com for me, at least. Can get into these forums on that connection just fine.

I honestly think SE made a hiccup somewhere when they were doing Companion App maintenance. I really want to play the game today as well considering things I want to do - like Roulettes and also talk with friends.

Yeah, I think the forums are hosted by the square-enix.com domain, and I can access all of that. It's just finalfantasyxiv and the game for me as well.

Curious. I'm also Charter Spectrum here in Georgia. Did they just nuke any access to the game entire?

However, I tried my Wifi hotspot, which is T-mobile via MetroPCS, but it's giving me the same issue, so it's not just Charter.

Mine is down too.
Live in MN and I'm also using servers on the coast.
Everything works fine except for 14 and the Mogstation.
I've been told this is happening because SQEX is having ISP issues.
Hopefully this will be resolved soon.

I’m having the same issue as the OP on PS5 in Alabama with Spectrum.

Ok, so is it easy to assume that the entire East Coast is nuked right now?

Just got off the phone with Spectrum. They claim we need to ask SE to pretty please support their servers and will do nothing on their end to help this happen.

UPDATE: I think they fixed their issue. Mine just came back up.

Lodestone is accessible for me again as well! Gonna try to log in again.

Edit: I am in! Thank you to whichever network engineer at the NA Data Center plugged the switches back in.

I can't access my characters now. Can someone help me?

Nevermind: THEY ARE DOWN AGAIN.

Lodestone is down for me again as well, but after I connected to the game server I have not yet been disconnected. So it might be a lobby server only issue, and DNS issue, but the direct connection to the game server proper is okay? Regardless, I'll not risk going into a duty for the time being.

Edit: Lodestone back up again.

FWIW, I’m able to connect now.
