Imagine my dismay when I got off a long hard day at work manufacturing 100 Teslas for rich people in 90 Farenheit working conditions and almost got a stroke to play the game at 2am after putting my kids to bed only to discover the game is under maintenance... and when the maintenance is over apparently it's for earrings that no one uses because there's no way anyone has 1000 appraisals already. So... WHY because of SE I only have 1 hour to play this game before I have to go back to my work... does Square Enix hate working class people or something lol?

They did an emergency maintenance to fix a bug in an item than most players don't have, didn't have the time to get, aren't interested to get, or didn't even know of the existence.
And they haven't completely fixed the earring. They just fixed the f******* +10% XP bonus.
What are we, the players, for the devs. Some kind of XP addicts? -
10-16-2020, 02:12 AMGothicsharkBecause it came out of the box with 30%. Doesn't sound like much until you put on the RAF Head Glam +10%, food +3%... We now have 43% XP bonuses. Doing the basic math of 180 minutes grinding starting at level 73, you could make it to level 76 in one session, and level 80 in under 3. Sure the ring is a 1 in a thousand chance to drop but at a guess, there are already 10 to 20 of them out there, and frankly, smart people would be rocking it to level alt Jobs. BTW after the fix, for me it's a 23% boost, so maybe I'll level Monk. because 23% is still a bit broken.Quote:

they needed to fix it before people abused it too much, clearly they're saving the 30% bonus earrings as a pre-order bonus for the next expansion like they normally do.
