Sure limit the limited job more, I can so no issues with this.
That’s part of the fun of BLU. Why remove it?
Arguably the most fun part of having BLU leveled. Especially for any of us that may have at one point in our early days struggled with this FATE or that. Just, coming back through and feeling like "Hey, remember that time way back when yo- *DEATH*. Yeah. Doesn't feel so good, does it?"
Well, fate spawns. blu kills, 60 others don't get credit.
Yeah, well, it's super fun seeing a fate that just spawned going from 0% to 100% while you were just unmounting to participate..
In the end I played BLU too because why would you pick any other job that syncs you down to 2 buttons while BLU can still use all the spells even in a level 5 fate. But it's obvious that the job is absolutly broken for an event like this.
Everybody who thinks this is Okay is either a selfish BLU mage themselves or just isnt particularly interested in doing FATEs so arent bothering to care about the plight of others.
BLU is a fantastic "normal" FATE killer with its range of fun AOE's. That's fine. What ISNT fine is that a single BLU mage can just delete a boss FATE single handedly. If this was a Personal FATE that only applied to the BLU then no problem, but doing this denies the FATE contribution to everyone else in the zone.
The whole point of the FATE system is that it SCALES with players. The more players in a zone, the longer FATEs take to kill, the more health the FATE mobs have. This is an important part of the design as it lets everyone have a good chance to contribute damage even if arriving slightly late or when hundreds of players are attacking one FATE target. BLU spells with their instant kills bypass this and "steal" the FATE.
There is literally no reason that SE shouldn't disable Missiles and Tailscrew in FATES. It's two skills, it wont affect the general fun of BLU mage which is doing raids in parties of 8 BLUs and hunting spells or doing the Masquerade. BLU will still be excellent at FATEs without those two gamebreaking skills.
Noone minds that BLU can speedily do FATEs, its the fact that it denies the FATE from others in the world and encourages a community of ninja-pulling and every man for themself, which is completely contrary to the entire FATE system design.

Of course it's fun for Blue Mages to nuke a boss, or for a group of them to spam missile and eliminate a FATE in ten second or less. Where it becomes an issue is when other players get absolutely zero credit during a big event that is supposed to be fun for everyone.
Dude, all blues using it cleared in day one, this is a really long event, stop complaining that you didn't clear day one, because the event wasn't made to only last one day, you can notice that now the fates have less people around the maps because most people finished day 1
Can't you just do the yokai event in Stormblood content? BLU can't go there
Or, you know, they notice that blu normally isn't a problem, and it works fine, except at times of high demand like this. It's only an issue when EVERYBODY is going for it. Though, yes, if a blu wants to be polite, they use freeze when others are around, and lock mobs down so they can get damage in, instead of using missile. Course, in these both missile and tailscrew already don't work, being that these are harder monsters.
SE: "BLU aren't allowed into dungeons because it will be overpowered and ruin them for other players. Also we're making most things in dungeons immune to the things that are overpowered."
Also SE: "BLU can do FATEs, even though it will be overpowered and ruin them for other players. No immunities needed here lololol!"
No matter how you justify it ("it's the fun of blue" "limit the limited job more") kill steal is and never has been ok in any mmo.
They made mobs irrelevant in modern MMOs so that this cancer goes away, only to have it back by the window in the form of BLU stealing fates. If Fates were just exp ok, but there are alsospecial fates, as well as Yokai and now the ones in Heavensward for the relic. Although not very dramatic to lose a cristal on that one cause they're easy to make, that's still a dick move.
I mean you could just unlock BLU and own FATEs like the other people who did, unlike the "limited job doesnt matter so dont care" people?
Also good luck on those insta kill spells, I dont even use them because so much crap is immune to them in and out of dungeons already
you mean the fates where the mobs are immune to 99.9 % of our stuff anyway as soon as its a fate boss
and honestly when i do the kill 10-15 of this mobs i rarely see anyone so it becomes a boring spam of missle missle missle and some ultraviberation
if anything i want to instantly kill the fate boss where is this overpowered job yoshi p talk because bluemage is weak af vs anything that is not a trash mob :P yes you can solo some stuff but it takes a lot of prep work
