Leveling a BLU from level 1-60 is tedious and clearly the majority of people who got to 60 in the first place just abused game mechanics.
Abused game mechanics? I'm wondering where you got that idea?
Hey guys what. If you tag enemies first at any level, and have a friend outside the party kill it for you, you get full EXP and you can get chain bonuses! Takes bout 40-ish minutes to level blu from 50-60 in Azys Lla when getting huge chain bonuses. But clearly you're in the majority of people that don't realize there's other ways to power level outside of a class change exploit they used to have.
Oh no. It's an abuse of mechanics to have anyone at any level help a friend. It's been around since day one. Blu is the only one with boosted EXP for overworld mobs. It's not hard to level without a friend helping you. This thread sounds pretty 'I made a decision so what I said is 100% true' honestly.
Guess I better report my FC members for helping me level at any point when we weren't in a party, I'll go get the manager. /joke
I leveled it just doing fates and killing mobs. Took like 2 days.
No glitches or help. Just do it
And who are YOU to say what you're saying is 100% fact? Have the devs/staff flat out said anything about that being abuse of a system? Oh no, people are leveling up a mini-game class way too quickly. How dare they want to get access to all the content a blu has!
Hell, you can get Dragon's/Ram's voice at level 1 if you have a scholar friend to bring you through the Gorgimera fight in Northern Thanalan. That's broken too!
You can get someone to help you learn tail screw in a level 52 overwrold area instead of the level 50 dungeon for it! That's gotta be cheating too!
Find someone to help you level up quickly if it's so tedious. You don't have to do what everyone else does if you want to level it yourself. But trying to demand a level skip potion for something so bloody easy to level? That's kind of a waste of time and money, personally.
Yes, they said that's not how BLU was intended to be leveled are ashamed of anyone leveling that way. Then they went on to say they'll leave it like this until they can find a fix for it.
Still not an argument, but I'll entertain you for a bit.
If it was intended intended method for you to level with a friend, they would let you gain exp if they were in the party. What you're doing is abusing a game mechanic which was originally there to prevent kill stealing.
Not sure why you're so angry for me suggesting that there should be a level skip potion for a class that rarely anyone levels legitimately.
How do you know this is the case?
Almost everyone I know has lvled up blu to at least lvl 50 and only one of those people used an exploit to do it. Everyone else lvled up the class the way SE intended us to. I seriously doubt myself and my group of friends are an anomaly.
Almost everyone I know used the leech trick.
Leech trick or job swap trick or not, BLU was and still is ridiculously easy to level if you literally just farm enemies above your level (start going Azys Lla for example at lv55 already). Blows my mind how people make a fuss about how certain unorthodox methods allowed people to level their Blue Mage a bit more efficiently, when - and I'm gladly risking a limb here - probably the majority that complains about it levels their combat jobs with Palace of the Dead / Heaven on High on the first few floors, which is arguably as mindbogglingly easy as levelling Blue Mage in general.
This whole conversation imo makes no sense - BLU is easy to level, unorthodox or not and a level skip potion for this job is arguably the most useless thing to add.
Leveling Buemage is pretty fast by just killing mobs that meet your level.
At the beginning when you get 1000 needles it goes really fast up to 40+, afterwards it slows down a little but still.
I agree it gets quite boring after a while but it's not to bad. Just don't overdo it otherwise you risk of getting burnt out.
Skip potion for what, not like you need it for endgame.... ok sure for something two expansions ago.
Because alts are a thing and no one wants to level twice no matter how fast. I'd pay 20 bux to skip to 60 than to redo it any day.
Calm down y'all
It's not a bug, if it were they'd no doubt be able to fix or change it to be a different way if they wanted to. They were able to patch out the solo leveling thing where you quickly change classes, so I don't think they consider having someone outside your party kill stuff to get you exp a bug.
Edit: Also yeah, with it you can level blu to max in like under 2 hours. Why would you want to spend money to skip such a small grind? Besides, you'll still have to unlock all your spells the normal way.
Something tells me no one would bat an eye if a potion came out for Blu so... I don't see the issue with the request.
Leveling BLU is already insanely easy. I got someone from 15-50 in about 45 min.
I leveled blu alone 50-60 and it took about 45mins, then I helped a friend doing it and it took about 30mins.
Abusing game mechanics.
You are the reason switching jobs after doing anything is a pain now.
Let me get this straight...
You think exp leeching is an exploit that shouldn't be allowed as it's unintended and allows people to level too quickly...
But you want to buy a jump potion?
Are you an SE shareholder?
Why would a person make an alt if they have no interest in lvling up classes again?
Sure maybe a person could be in a rush to help a raid team and don't have the time to lvl up normally but this isn't a situation you would run into with blu. Asking for a blu jump potion is like asking for a jump potion that completes side quests.
The same devs that insisted its a job for solo play only to force a role changing spell and synched savage onto us lol?
i did it alone and it still wasnt that hard, besides its their oversight not making an blue leveling roulett.
I mean, it can take 3 hours 'exploiting' ... or like 5 hours not exploiting. And levelling is, like, 75% of BLU's content anyway.
