Lvl 70 ninja jump: What happened to Aurum vale and The Sunken Temple of Q’uarn?

I recently bought the ninja level 70 jump after I got to level 37 because I could only use two combos and the whole reason i picked ninja was the idea of doing lots of combos like in Guild Wars, Mortal Combat but Aurum Vale and The Sunken Temple of Q’uarn aren’t showing up on my dungeons list which is:
Sastasha
The Tam-Tara Deepcroft
Copperbell Mines
The Thousand Maws of Toto-Rak
Haukke Manor
Brayflok’s Longstop
The Stone Vigil
Castrum Meridianum

The Trials:
The Bowl of Embers
The Navel
The Howling Eye
Cape Westwind

Is there any reason for this skip of Aurum Vale and The Sunken Temple of Q’uarn is this part of the level jump? If so I don’t mind I just want to know if I will be unlocking those or not.

these two dungeons are optional, so they won't show up, same with halitali, you'll need to do the quests to unlock them

I'm passing out popcorn and beer.

You realise those are low level dungeons anyway right?
Which means you'll be synced down to those levels, and have the same skill's you would have at level 34 or 47 anyway...

Isn’t qarn part of msq?
Aurum isn’t its side quest linked to GC rank if right.
Neither will give you the tools you bought the skip for tho as you’ll be synced out them. In fact if your only up to castrim buying a jump potion won’t be much good anyway as all skills over your current level will be synced away in duty’s. so unless your on open battle with a hunt mob or smth you won’t see them till you get to the appropriate msq level/areas. Unless you buy a story skip too

Gotta admit, that was probably a waste of money if you didn't get a story skip too since you won't be able to use your skills any earlier outside overworld fights which tend to be the most inconsequential.

But yeah, aurum vale is optional, you gotta unlock it

Qarn is optional and not MSQ related. These optional dungeons are usually shown as blue exclamations instead of the goldish looking ones.
AV is GC (Grand Company) related to get promoted in conjunction with the GC hunting log. I want to say Dzemael Darkhold is also GC related as well. Both of these are outside the MSQ.

But I would probably hold off on the story skip at this point given what you have unlocked already in MSQ for ARR.

Did they take the part where you have to go to Qarn to get that one stone thingy during post ARR right before the move to Mor Dhona already?

I expected or hoped for that to be part of there ARR slashing process but didnt realize it had already happened.

Nope it's still there, did that quest on my alt yesterday.
But yes Aurum vale is optional unless you open it from Horizon. And like other's said, the level boost won't help you until you get end of Stormblood and get to higher level dungeons, every duty will sync your skills to that level so even if in open world you have all the skills up to 70, in lvl30 dungeon you only have lvl30 skills. Waste of money and boost tbh..

Qarn is strange because u need to go there for msq (last time i knew) but you don't unlock it through Msq, there is a Npc outside Waking Sands at Vesper Bay that give u the quest to unlock it

I want to say its post 2.0 like 2.2 maybe, if Qarn is MSQ required.

I was running on an alt character of mine I don't even have Braylox unlocked yet (just started titan quest on her) and I am level 52 and got Qarn, Aurum Vale, and Darkhold unlocked. Qarn I got from Vesper Bay. I may have grabbed AV from Horizon, but I also know its a GC required dungeon.

Qarn is MSQ required, but as pointed out, it technically unlocks through a sidequest so that's probably why you aren't seeing it.

Wouldn't surprise me if Titan hard also received the same treatment.

I'm pretty sure the one time I boosted a character, it unlocked Aurum Vale automatically.

Also the unlock quests for AV and Darkhold are kind of weird because there are actually two separate unlock sidequests from different sources - one from the GC and one "in the wild" from another NPC.

when people use msq boost it will unlock all the dungeon but not when people use the job jump boost. Used job skip myself on alt 3 days ago and no dungeons were unlocked.

I've done many skips and they've always been on my dungeon list. No clue why they aren't for you.

Edit: Oh is't a job boost and not a main story one that's why.

The fun thing about that job boost is that, once you've gotten the quests that unlock them out of the way, you can do them un-sync'd and have access to all your job skills.

The not-so-fun thing is that you still have 20-some levels to get to level 70 MSQ content. It's do-able, but I'd recommend going through Heavensward as either Samurai or Red Mage (which start at 50) and going through Stormblood as Dancer or Gunbreaker (which become available at level 60). You could also consider Astrologian, Dark Knight or Machinist for Heavensward content, but it'll take a bit more time to get them to level 50...

I suppose it might be worth asking this I boosted my one and only character form 60 to 70 for reasons largely related with returning from a hiatus and I noticed that some dungeons remain locked (the ones unlocked by the Four Lords sidequests)...however HM dungeons which were also optional as well as Shushi of the Violet tides (I think that's also an optional dungeon) were unlocked.

I wondering why those dungeons were unlocked while other ones like Hell's Lids, Swallow's, Vale, Qarn, and presumably, Cutter's, Darkhold and Dusk Vigil weren't (FTR I unlocked those before the boost)?

Does the story skip unlock flying? Shisui of the Violet Tides has an aether current tied to its quest chain (as does Dusk Vigil in Heavensward), so if the skip unlocks flying, it may have to auto-complete the quest to do so.

It odes, but that seems odds because while it does unlock the Aether current,s the quests they are usually tied to aren't flagged as cleared. (AFIAK)

I think it may unlock levelling dungeons (thus Shisui) and one-off endgame dungeons, but it doesn't complete side stories - thus the dungeons associated with the Four Lords storyline remaining locked.

As was discussed earlier, I'm fairly sure an MSQ skip does unlock things like Qarn, but the original poster bought a job boost which won't unlock anything on its own except for job skills.

the sunken temple pf qarn is a side dungeon, unlocked by nedrick at 35.
