I got the DRk weapon, and despite it having 5 materia slots the equipment picker tells me to toss that thing back in the water and keep my Ruby Ex weapon.
Would folks agree with that or not?
Those tank weapons have a whole lot of tenacity on them...
Should I just give the rest of them a pass? Toss the DRk one into my glamour chest (and yet not glam to it because I'm not into shovels...)?
How do they compare to the Ruby weapons?
5.25 Relic weapons? Get them or pass on them?

Get what you want. The cost is low.
They're, at worst, just a tad weaker than Ruby.
Looking at stat calculations, it looks like you'll actually swing about .3% higher on average when it's all said and done, but your "Best" runs are going to be worse since those tend to be based on where your DHits land.
Edit: Apparently not all tank weapons are det/ten. The above was assuming Det/Ten. -

the drk relic is better than ruby, this is not up for debate. Without materia, sure, the ruby weapon's crit and det beat out a stock combination of woeborn's ten and crit, but the fact you can meld 300 more substats of your choice, whether that be all det or a combination of det and crit, or d.hit if that's your thing, then there's no comparison especially when you consider that the substats don't really differ all that much in how strong they are.
Tenacity doesn't make a weapon awful, it's just a little worse off than det. Meld that stuff on, and it's better. -

at large run they would be usefull as long they let us change the subs stats and hopefully not in a random way like in SB, so it's nice to have it for now even if they are complety useless right now just for the future steps.

They're super easy to get might as well just snag them to save you a little time later if you change your mind. I've already got several of the ones for the battle classes and I just finished getting all of the DoH/DoL ones today.

You can pretty much bet they're going to throw an element of RNG into it. It's only a question of how crippling it'll be before they get raged at by players for a few months and change it to be more favorable.

But to have RNG dictate what stats we actually get, and how much per roll, made me give up on it in it's entirety. It didn't help to have 1,000 crit dangled in front of you where you needed 5 god tier rolls in a game with terrible RNG for the most part, it has made me not want RNG to be as heavily replied upon on the relic like it was in SB while it would be more favourable if rng had a lighter influence in the relic weapon.
