Some positive 5.25 Feedback :)

Some things i personally like since my tastes seem to completely differ from the majority.

Im glad that the new Relic seems to be based around a Story, not a Grind (measuring in time played). People that are at Work half the day and have to care for a family afterwards are finaly able to get a relic without it being completely outdated at the time they get it.

The Music! Im staying at the new area all the time right now simply because i love the zonemusic. I really Hope Soken can keep this exceptional high Level of Music up.

The new Extreme: I think this IS Part of the whole Relicbuisiness since it drops the relicarmor. People just seem to not aknowledge it as such.

Overall im quite Happy with what i got for this specific patch, not talking about other patches here.

Probably, i just hope its not exclusively tied to a horrible instanced Area with no other way to obtain it.

I enjoyed it, whilst the instance was short and I think having a instance to repeat might have been nice for the other weapons. I am not so inclined to complain either. And I agree the grind is the Ex fight. But yeah, future relic stuff. I expect will be grindy. IMO Eureka was a step in the right direction, but I hated the glorified FATE farming. I am more interested in grinding fights because face rolling ad infinitum is dull. I don’t mind putting the work in.

My suggestion for Eureka was to put the NM’s behind a leve like system, you can lock it to the party spawning it and balance each fight to proper fight mechanics, rather than a train of people to face roll on a train of FATEs. Having an EX fight is nice in that you have an interesting fight with mechanics than boring face rolls or crappy RNG (which is where relic has always lost me).

So whilst maybe it was easier than I might have expected the first phase, it has been the most preferable first phase in a long time.

I doubt it will be too much. The recent interview Yoshi-P gave it sounds like the whole thing is going to be more casual orientated than past relic grinds.

The Gangos music amazing and I can’t wait for the scroll!

+ Music in Gangos is fantastic !!
+ I like the relic is tied back into the story again. Felt kinda.... Eh with Eureka. Yeah there was an Eureka story but the weapon's purpose there felt tacked on, unlike ARR's and especially the Anima.
+ The Instance was fun
+ I'm somewhat interested in where the plot is going.

I dont think they could ruin it any further. :)

Really just hoping i can obtain it by doing pvp like the lightfarm for the HW Relic. Did most of it in pvp, sure it was slower than doing savage but i enjoyed pvp much more than pve back then :)

I've really enjoyed it as well. Since I'm working from home, I've been gathering all the mats I need for relic gathering weapons. Its perfect for me waiting for something to come in.

Also the story was fantastic. Currently have 4 of the relic weapons and will be slowly getting the rest. 2 crafting relics and 1 gathering relic received as well.

Just in case you weren't aware, patch 5.35 will be the next chapter of the StQ story, and will include a new instanced field zone similar to Eureka, including a public dungeon like BA. You also will be able to upgrade your weapon through this instance, OR through other methods outside of the instance itself.

At least that is what they have planned. Most likely, the new instance will be the most efficient way of upgrading relics, but for those who do not want to put so much time into it, other options similar to the ARR/HW relic steps will be made available.

Comes up sometimes in interviews. I don't think it's confirmed that the new public dungeon codenamed BA2 will be related to the resistance weapons field zone, just assumed, but yeah all of that stuff is true.

And plus one for the gangos music. I like the graphics for this zone too, it's a nice little settlement visually.

I.. still have doubts. The community has a tendency to take small tidbits and create whole "announcements". Where was this said specifically? I'm asking because the poster I quoted seems VERY sure that that's exactly what's happening.

Ahh, thank you!

One issue I have with it so far for the weapon, is the need complete the old raid quests first.. A bunch of boring unlock quests, followed by learning and running Rabanastre and Ridorana (Haven't run the second one yet.)

I thought Eureka was fun... in the first week or two of each instance release anyway, when people were chatting, fighting, etc. After that, with more and more people going afk or moving on, it became extremely tedious.

I have enjoyed pretty much everything with XIV for years. The only thing I am not a big fan of has been PVP, and the Baldesion Arsenal. Though the BA was more playerdriven and their behaviour that made me avoid doing it.
Another thing that annoys me, is just how many demands some players put out, and if their demands are not met to 100% it is nothing but complaints

I love the enthusiasm of Yoshida and his whole team, as I have not seen many if any other devteam acting like they are and I do not wanna loose that
XIV means a lot to me just like many other FF games ^^

XIV just has such great devteam, Jobs, music, story, characters, worlddesign, raids, dungeons, crafting and so much more :) (except pvp) hehe

I started playing XIV in 1.15 and I was actually not aware of its poor launch and wondered why didnt my VISA not get charged when my 30 days incl playtime was up hehe
When they announced 1.0 was shutting down to remake the game, and they have delivered on their words, they made me a life long supporter of XIV and SE itself if they continue as they have :)
