Is there any reason why male Au ra are build like coca cola bottles.
As in torso is slim but hips don't lie.
No hate but we all know how distorted some clothes are due to that *cough* reality bending hips *cough*

Also really don't like male Au Ra motions when they do emotes. They move so.. elegantly, like something you'd expect from an elezen perhaps, not from a steppe warrior. I like their angular sprint animation and was expecting something similar for emotes.
I like them having an unusual body shape. It make glamouring harder but you have to come up with different outfits for them compared to other characters.
Baggy pants seem to work well for them to balance out the width of their shoulders.
I don't mind them, but I do remember thinking how different they were to Elezen emotes when I started going through them on my alt!
At least part of the problem, even if they had lore in mind for them at all when coming up with the animations, is that they aren't just Steppe warriors but also Hingan city-dwellers.
“Coca cola bottles” lmao starting to roast!!
I see well.. give them all to me then please, I know how to use some coca cola bottles.
Do you have a moment to talk about our master race, Hrothgar?
As a Xaela man, I can confirm this! Well, the child bearing part at least. We're the ones who have the babies, cook the food, tend to the flocks ...
Of course, we are quick to join the fray when the opportunity presents itself! We have need to quench our thirst for battle too, after all~
Xaela are steppe warriors, not Raen. Xaela females even have a "cutesey" motif to them.
Seems like a classic case of them making emotes around one clan, in this case Raen, which just so happen to be one of the bigger demographics in hingashi in lore, and pasting the emotes etc to the Xaela, which are almost all tribal warriors based off of the mongols.
I find the body shape of Au Ra to be better suited for certain clothes. My partner plays a male Miqo'te, and we both tried on the wedding dress when it became available to us and it looked a lot better on me because my character has a much more narrow waist compared to his. Male Miqo'te are surprisingly stocky by comparison.
I see you all are masters at being naughty without actually just coming right out and saying it.
Just to be clear, there isn't anything in lore that says they reproduce unusually so we can assume they're normal humans in that regard.
Or maybe they aren't.
(But seriously, there is dialogue indicating one of the Dotharl ladies is pregnant so anything else is just fun speculation if you want to keep your lore straight.)
It's been fun. Between the 2B dress, the two that came out last patch, I must say au ra dudes are my favourite dress models. Certainly wear them better than a lot of the female characters.
Don't you dare take my hips away.
My main has been an au-ra guy right from the beginning from when I started playing. Its true certain glamours look a bit odd and I wish they had slightly thicker waists but I wouldn't give my boi up for the world.
I'd love to play au ra male, but I can't stand the thunder thighs and their weird stance. Still hoping maybe some day we'll get body sliders... LOL
Same here! I love my main baby too much to even so much as consider about changing him!~ https://images-wixmp-ed30a86b8c4ca88...EC1YG_NsqDmW2U
I am glad to see so many lizard men came in defence of their hips. Be proud of them. Be the curvy lizard you always wanted to be.
I will protect your hips with my life.
Roegadyn > Elezen > Lizard Man > Hrothgar >= Lalafell > Highlander > Midlander > Lizard Girl > Viera > Miqo'te
Don't @ me.
Au Ra males have a snatched waist, thighs that could crack a walnut, and muscular arms, and i'm not mad.
Between the two tall slender male races, Au Ra men definitely looks a little more proportionate at least? Not to knock the Elezen men, but... yeah.
Too bad they lack the buttocks to match their epic hips and thighs.
The male characters should get better butts, yes.
