Good. I was sick of the greed of people on other worlds blocking out people trying to do it on their own. That's what you get.
Good.
I was lucky in that I was able to get into all of the fates I was around for as I just bought hundreds of mats and just levelled my carpenter over the last couple of days, but I've had a couple friends locked out of their home servers because of the influx.
I fully support this move.
Good, but the ones who are still inside will probably stay inside now.
Luckily there's nothing in there. If they want to AFK for the chance of getting 3 sets of scrips a day, that's on them. But if they want to go and do anything like getting more mats, doing daily beast tribes for the easy experience, or getting gold saucer stuff even once, then that's them.
I don't doubt there will be some staying in there just to be jerks, but that's a level of dedication I think will deter a significant number.
Well that sucks. I enjoyed hopping worlds while helping them craft. Didn’t have a problem getting into the place. It only gets full about 30 minutes before the fate. I mean if you weren’t there crafting in the first place then perhaps you didn’t care for the restoration at all? I’m sure this is temporary until the excitement dies down.
People like you are why this was implemented. I got home Tuesday and was unable to even finish the quest. Wednesday I got in and finished it then went it gather the materials I needed, came back and it was full for the rest of the night, but I guess u didn't care about it as much as you right?. Do act like you were there to help with anything when you knew you were locking other out.
Let's be real here it was never about helping lower pop servers why people hopped to other servers. They can claim this "just to help bs" when the fact of the matter is these players just abusing an exploit in the system to their benefit to get them out of doing hard work and earn scrips the normal way.It was a shortcut because they saw mounts and glams and wanted be the 1st to have it to show it off like they were some raider that got a mount from a savage raid.If history taught us one thing about FF14 player base is that players are greedy and will exploit when they can to get what they want (Granted not all players but most). No benefit to helping other servers in their restoration other than your own, it like trying put lipstick on a pig. Those players can keep lying here about it to build a foundation to reverse the restriction but we all including developers are seeing through it.
Place your bets! What will people whine about next? Concerted works happening while they're at work? Not enough people? Find out in under 24 hours!
Leviathan last night was completely full from the time i got on (7PM) up until like 12:00 in which i was finally able to enter, i guess because people went to bed.
So it is great they did listen
Ah well. No more being told to get out of peoples servers and <wanderer> only parties anymore. :[
I just checked the https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...rogress_report
And I see half of the Crystal Data Center is behind. Now we can see which servers were doing the most hopping. :p
It's really just the smaller pop ones in the end that are going to lag behind. Even on the EU end Twintania and Spriggan are both behind, mainly due to the amount of players on them since they're both recent.
Really think in this case the idea I recommended about other worlds being able to send supply kits to the worlds that need it the most are going to be an eventual reality
As a leviathan player, I was on Framfrit server all day helping them out and I don't even care about being locked out , because there are other ways to level. This is a big slap in the face for people helping lower craft servers.
Yes I'm upset
You're not going to see much of anything because the Stage 3 progress bar requires far greater contributions than the stage 1 and 2 bars did. If you look at all worlds, you'll see that almost everyone is showing Stage 3 Works Pending despite a few worlds, like Balmung, having unlocked Stage 3 in the first 24 hours.
If you're expecting some amazing relevation to suddenly show up on the tracker thanks to this change, you're going to be disappointed.
Did Famfrit ask for your help? Did they even need it?
This isn't a big slap in the face to anyone. You get to do the exact same content for the exact same rewards on your home world. You weren't getting anything special by "volunteering" to help a world that didn't ask for and doesn't need your help.
This isn't content that we're intended (or will be able) to rush to completion in a couple of days. The low pop worlds are fine for now. If SE finds that progress on the low pop worlds is falling far behind what they intend, they'll open the Firmament to Wanderers again.
I think those people just aren't seeing things from a pragmatic standpoint. I believe the lowest level crafter is lv20 to contribute. You can get from 1-20 in less than 30 minutes by just going down the recipe list. And lo, by having gatherers leveled, you would be gathering materials anyway. There. DoH can contribute.
Your definition of troll post seems to be "post I don't like." Because it is absolutely the truth, a bitter taste I know.
That person was throwing a tantrum in the other thread too, and now talking about their words are the truth.Haha.. some people on here.
Well, that's disappointing. I bet it'll just lead to the place being congested an hour or two in advance - at least on the busier servers.
...? It was often congested 1-2 hours in advance before this change. If it happens again, it'll at least be due to only server natives this time, in which case they can just open instances. A server-wide event should have been server locked to begin with. This content was not meant to be unlocked in a few days, people.
It's already been helping. A poster from Malboro in the larger thread on this issue was actually able to participate, along with many others on their server. I can't speak for that yet on mine as it's still progressing in the third stage, but once people start getting off of work/school things will obviously change, but I seriously doubt there will be lock outs. If there is, again, SE will likely implement instances, so I don't see what the issue is. This change was a large net win, no contest.
I enjoyed the thrill of the 'every man for himself' approach. ;)
So, you were part of the problem then. Good to know. :P
