NIN
pros: Mostly everything mentioned (Someone will complain as usual)
personal cons: Huton is probably still at 15%. Should have been 20%. Shadow Fang at 70" cd looks exaggerated on paper. Will wait to see how it plays
SAM
I guess it\\'s fine? Don\\'t care much about it
BRD
Songs have buffs once more
RDM
VERy nice buffs
SMN
Will wait to see how it plays
AST
DoT buff
This is one giant patch with ton of changes, nice.
I like tanks changes and that they have not forgot about goldsaucer.
Love those PvP action changes they listed.
A bit underwhelmed with the Red Mage changes. I'll see how Acceleration feels now, but honestly I'd rather it just have been changed to a charge skill... Still no adjustment to Displacement/Corps-a-corps is disappointing, movement based skills should not be tied to damage output like this, and Engagement is not a fix for that... I still don't get how they even released Red Mage like this, when in the lead up to Stormblood they detailed their exact reasoning for taking damage off skills like Repelling Shot, but for some reason that sound logic doesn't get applied to literally the same skill with Red Mage... Other than that the damage buffs are nice, but not exactly exciting.
MNK
Rockbreaker - Area of effect has been changed from a cone to all nearby enemies.
Do you still need a target for this?

This kinda makes me scratch my head, as the queue popping regardless was a QoL change that was made to stop the queue simulator shenanigans that used to happen when one person out of the 72 wasn't ready, and thus would often cause a cascading mess of queue fails. I hope this being reinstated means they fixed that little issue.
Oh man, crafting is basically Angry birds now
That's a rather random addition.Quote:
New battle voices for player characters have been added.
All leveling dungeons now have their own ilevel requirement now. No more dumb gear combinations like Ironworks gear in Doma Castle.
Changed nothing about SCH besides making Seraph last 2 seconds longer, but then also making her take 2 seconds until she can do anything. So??? What's the point of that?
I laughed so hard when I read that. It was right after the Temperance change too;
"White Mage, your skill now applies instantly upon use!"
"Scholar, your skill now takes 2 seconds to do anything at all!"
SE Spaghetti code at its finest, I imagine. As if a 2 second delay is built into a skill...
War technically got a dps boost.
Vengeance : Duration has been increased from 10 to 15 seconds.
YES! Goodbye static recruitment/clear selling mislistings in my PF!
Scholar.... I thought they said they were improving usability :/
Lmao on the AST changes,
-100 reduced mp on Aspected benefic for nocturnal cool Diurnal still 400 mp cheaper, heals more and gets both effects in Neutral cheaper still
-Aspected helios mp cost reduced effects both sects so just slightly better mp management more so for diurnal than nocturnal
-minor arcana says rip to lord/lady animations but does reduce a bit of clunkiness so eh
-Collective Unconsiousess recast reduced from 90 to 60 good
Diurnal has to stand still for dmg mitigation but regen remains for 18s after applied
Nocturnal has to stand still for regen but dmg mitigation remains for 18s after applied
Well now this is interesting and would take until have hands on to find out which would be more beneficial to pop and go.
So other than CU being potentially better in Nocturnal, Nocturnal is still way too inferior to Diurnal in the vast majority of content
Kinda disappointed
1) It's nice to have a new game in GS to earn MGP with, but with no new prices to spend those MGPs on I don't really care. I've already all mounts and every other stuff I need and still over a Million MGP left.
2) The pixie-tribe mount will be a flying lion? Meh.
3) Trick Attack Nerf is a huge setback for NIN. We'll probably change our Static-Setup and remove NIN from the melee-spot in favor for DRG/MNK now.
So we will get another Miqo'te for the custom deliveries... we are at 3 Miqo'te and 2 Au Ra then.
Hey SE, there are other races too.
And I wish they would have told us earlier that they will make the Diadem achievments unobtainable (not that I actually would have bothered to complete them, but at least I would have had the chance to).
I am wondering how much echo we will get in Eureka. Strange that they did not removed the exp loss from dying, since it is the main reason that nobody in their right mind will start soloing this content or go in with a small group of like 4 people.
I'm glad I chose to hang onto my Warden of the Seven Hues.
He'll have a nice home in my house instead of my chocobo saddlebag come 5.1.

Thank you SE!!! :D
Those Red Mage changes.. eh it's something at the very least, i was fully expecting them to not give us any changes so there is that.
Crafting.. holy crap batman, wth are so many actions removed. I love my macro crafting :(
Other then that, wow what a large patch, lots of stuff.
HUGE
Also, Kai-Shirr reminds me of Hans from "The Burbs." I expected him to offer sardine crackers during his section of the MSQ.Quote:
A Favorites list has been added to the market board.
Up to 100 items can be added to the Favorites list.
The Favorites list will not be cleared after server maintenance. Furthermore, it can be viewed even when visiting other Worlds.

He's referring to the fact that you can now blacklist people directly from the PF listings, which also removes their listings completely instead of just darkening them.
I'm extremely sick of seeing the same guy's content selling ads since early SB, so good riddance...though they still shouldn't be allowed to get away that regardless.

Summon Seraph
Duration has been increased from 20 to 22 seconds.
Seraph must now wait 2 seconds after being summoned to begin executing actions.
hum... ok...
Embrace (Eos and Selene) / Seraphic Veil (Seraph)
These actions will no longer be executed when pet is set to Steady.
ok... why?
Consolation
Recast time has been increased from 20 to 30 seconds.
Hum... that needed a nerf?
My overall feedback on the changes:
Hum...what? why?
Me: Yay they finally did a minimum ilvl on dungeons!
Gubal Library: 120
Castrem Albania: 260
Mt Gulg: 390
Also me: They. WHAT?! *internal screaming*
It is too bad when they were removing unreachable on some nodes they didn't remove set spawn times. One can dream.
I didn't even put it together until you spelled it out. So below ARR end gear to finihs HWs funny stuff. Why don't they just add a set like the earring we got and be done with it. These people are clearly not visiting crafters. Crafters would not lose any gil.
I think now i can cast "Akh Morn" and "Revelation" as SMN 3x before Gauge ends ( at this moment i can cast 2x, and 1-2 Secs left for the third one when it's fades away D: ) i like it :3.
NIN got many changes, MCH and DNC looks stronger and BRD got some buffs for their songs ( better than Before iml, it was only Critical Rate up now it's going to be different effects for each song :3 ).
WHM and SCH changes are meh, WHM deserves better and AST changes was huge, they was already in a good spot for healing, Combust become WAY stronger ( same DoT Potency than WHMs Dia ).
I'm glad that Tank buffs got 15 secs now, that's awesome. :3
As someone who began crafting a month ago, I am loving the changes to make it more streamlined. I know veteran crafters may be irritated by it, but as a newbie I am happy.
They buffed BLU's spells due to off-guard/peculiar light both being turned into Trick Attack-like effects that only apply a weak 5% debuff that can't be stacked due to the shared cooldowns (They used to boost damage by 50%/30% respectively).
BLU will have no issues with target swapping now and their single target DPS is apparently higher overall now. AoE DPS went down a bit, though.
Wow basically replaced entire crafting system with a new one. Looks easier for new crafters, but likely more difficult to craft high quality max level items. Seems reasonable to only have one crafter now if that is your choice. Alot of change to swallow in one patch yikes.
It's a small price to pay, but AoEs are still pretty damaging. At most it's roughly a 5-20 potency decrease across most of the AoE spells past the first target when comparing their damage to their original values. The big spells that got hit especially hard were the primal ones. Mountain Buster/Shock Strike take a 110 potency drop compared to the previous value while Glass Dance takes a 115 potency hit.
