And it is JP Only, without being announced as such, in advance.
It's really frustrating that they don't do translations during many of these.
I agree. I get that its in Japan and it is TGS but they know that a large portion of the player base is in the US and UK so it amazes me every time. Oh well back to relic farming and waiting for the translation to pop up on reddit or the forums lol
Changes to crafting.
Increasing ease of entry for new players.
Adjustments to more complex systems and actions.
Extra actions will be adjusted/removed.
As for gathering.
Unspoiled nodes will appear without the use of skills. (If i understood correctly.)
Gathering rates and amounts will be adjusted.
Quick gathering will be added.
"Out of reach" is getting removed.
In conclusion they give the finger to dedicated crafters/gatherers.
At least we get new BLU content and the jobs cap is increased to 60.
Oh right, we'll also be able to use food while /siting.
That Nier raid OST sample!
Nier Ost has always been one of my favorites. It has a sense of soul in them despite how sad, grand battle like, or happy they maybe.
In... what way? As a dedicated crafter (you can tell by the fact I have melded the maximum possible amount of CP in accordance with a build provided by other people who are better than me at math), all I see are positive QoL changes that might slightly shorten my dedicated super elite pro high-skill crafter macros that I dedicatedly run in the background while watching youtube. And make gathering the hundreds of mats I need and the crystals I'm always short on take slightly less time. Oh, and you forgot to mention a new feature that will let us see multi-level recipe breakdowns without having to use a third party site. At long last.
Oh nooooo... Crafting is doooooooomed... It will become a bit more accessible, attractive and maybe even fun to all the... - ugh! - undedicated plebeians! Scandalous! Unthinkable!
Liking the changes too, especially with Ishgard Restoration coming. It seems the best thing to do, in order to get more into the idea of crafting and gathering. And for the 'dedicated' there's that leaderboards thing or whatever it was to reward you for all your hardwork. No casual will be making their way onto it before you so you can still feel special at the end of the day.
I welcome the simplified/quickened crafting/gathering because botters already tend to have an excess of materials/crafted items so it stands to not really benefit them as much as it does actual players.
Anything said about new game plus?
Thank yooouuuuuu ^_____^ .
You have made me a very happy girl !!!
I guess the thing that irks me the most is they brought up the next trial and the next Ultimate, had entire slides dedicated to them... just to say they're secret. It's coy stuff like this that makes me, at the end of the day, okay with data mining. Ok, the trial I can understand, it can lead to spoilers, but the Ultimate? Why? The Ultimate is strictly old content, so...why so secretive about it?
Why even bring either up then? Why have not one, but two whole slides that say "secret" on them?
I’m happy they are doing Shadowbringers MSQ at start of New Game+ for some reason I thought that would come later, regardless I am happy with that.
On the lvl sync I’m confused, I thought they said before the solo duties would be unsync in new game+ but now it looks like they are synced?
I was thinking it was the solo battles not the dungeons. Though it makes kinda sense since they're synced to a certain level to begin with.
You seem to not understand that there are players out there that actually enjoyed how crafting used to be back in 2.x - 3.x. Now, my 12 year old niece can HQ something. I’m glad players like you are enjoying the “QoL” and the easier changes, but at least respect the opinions of crafters that actually enjoyed working hard for what they have back then.
Personally crafting has officially become a children’s mini-game, and that’s fine, if that’s what direction square Enix wants to go, I respect their decision. However, I will not continue to keep paying a subscription for a game that does not seem to care much for me, like I have been. I’ll likely only play when the yorha raid comes, occasional patches, and that’s about it.
There was definitely some previous information (though I only heard it second-hand without a source) that NG+ would let you wind back to earlier expansions but not Shadowbringers.
I assume we'll be level-unsynched during normal gameplay, but we really need to be synched for solo duties. They're generally meant to have an epic "story event" feel to them, and that would be lost if you had to play them at your current level and everything dies in one hit - whether you want it to or not.
Wow... it's really stupid to remove quest rewards from the New game + system.
If you can't use it to level new jobs, what is even the point? What a waste...
To redo the story without having to either pay for a jump potion to the expansion of your preference or level a character from scratch? Considering this game puts so much emphasis on story, it's hardly a wonder people would like to replay it again on the main character. Why would you get experience again? That was destroy every other avenue since the MSQ quests give significantly more EXP overall for less time spent, especially if you skip every cut scene and use it as a powerleveling method.
Btw did they give an idea on when 5.1 is dropping or is that still up in the air?
Thank ya so very kindly *bows*
It's like i'm the twilight zone where people never heard of youtube.
When i'm playing the game, i want to be achieving something. If i just want to just experience the story again i can lay down and watch it on youtube. I even have the option to skip parts. But alas... to each their own.
I'd still like more clarification, as quest rewards could mean the items and gil obtained only and not the xp. Think about how you could keep re-doing new game+ to level your crafters by getting the gear for guild leves, something I doubt they want people to farm in that way.
That isn't my character though, which disconnects me from the story. Not to mention, I want to experience the story myself not watch someone else do it.
For you, this was only ever an ends to a means. Just another level alternative. That isn't why people asked for this feature. They wanted to replay the expansions. Simply put, New Game+ was never intended for you.
To build hype, and let us know it's coming.
I don't always agree with them being secretive, like when they teased a new Gold Saucer attraction and everyone was thinking blitzball only for it to be mahjong, but in this case I think it's better not to show off a fight that's usually kind of a spectacle.
We already knew it was coming. Instead of building hype, they just irritated me and a lot of other people. I would be far more hyped if I knew we were fighting Alexander or The Warring Triad because then I could spectacle on how those fights might go. When they first announced Coil, and later Ultima, that's what got people existed. How they were going to build those fights into something amazing. Being secretive is just annoying.
For me, it just dampened the whole LL. Granted, it didn't help they talked about almost nothing except Fellowships.
Actually, we don't, as things could be delayed or plans change. If there was only one part, I'd understand, but on a 2-part live letter, it still makes sense to confirm it's coming in the first part and then reveal it in the second part when they can potentially talk more detail about it.
