I'm just curious. For me it's Bard. I wanted to like it so bad because I love the idea of Bard but the game play is so mediocre imo.
What about you?

Use to be DRG.
Now it's GNB. I just don't like it.
Doesn't feel impactful enough. :/
I blame Dissidia/Squall lol.
I'm passable at best with the other healers, but I can't wrap my head around scholar at all. Not sure why.
Monk, Warrior and Gunbreaker. I like their kits in theory, but I just hate how they move and they just don't feel like they fit my character.
Monk, Dragoon, Ninja, Samurai
BLM. I feel like I either spend all my time moving out of mechanics, or not moving because I think I have time and eat something. Either my DPS is crap, or I'm dead and my DPS is crap. :(
SCH MNK WAR BRD DNC
I just don’t find them interesting for a variety of reasons
SCH - faeries and the ever present intellectual superiority stuff
MNK - honestly I think the weapons look stupid, almost every single one. Otherwise the job seems cool enough
WAR - just meh really
BRD and DNC - both cuz nothing about the idea interests me. I’m musically apathetic (read - “joyless dick”)
Its primarily melee dps for me. I enjoy being at a point where I can observe, not in the middle of the action.
Samurai, Ninja.
The aesthetics, the mechanics... there's a lot that I don't like about these jobs.
For me I think it has to be BLM... I just can't handle the finger gymnastics involved and watching the enochian timer (which I know is easier now than it was in HW) and not letting it drop. There's just too much for me to keep track of. I feel that way about many of the dps jobs but BLM is the worst for me. While I usually heal, on the rare case I dps in a group setting RDM is my first choice and BRD is my second (though I am a bad bard that uses a macro for dps >_>).
Black Mage.
Astro.
I dont like how they play, at all.
Monk. I absolutely hate it. Cannot stand it. Big part is that I just don't like classes with positionals to begin with, and I'm not the biggest fan of melee as a whole, but something about monk in particular I just... don't get. Don't enjoy. 0/10 do not recommend.
Not enjoying WAR much either, and BLM is only 60 but it's extremely boring up to then. People keep saying it gets better, but when?
Dancer.
I would say that i am 1% interested in playing Dancer. I might level it after i leveled everything else but i really am not looking forward to it.
It may be cause my character is a relatively big male guy and i dunno. It feels like a female job. It doesn't fit with me or my character.
But you know... it's ok. I don't have to like every single job. If i had to name a second it might be Bard. I was thinking i might like it, but the fact that there are no actual arrows flying in the basic combo (unless it changes later on), just animations of shooting and something impacting the target and you have to fill in the gaps with your imagination really irks me. How difficult was it to make projectiles in the game? It's less obvious on Mechanist cause you don't expect to see gun shots and in the dancer they just made really long animations to make it seem like you are actually throwing something when you are not. It's a real minus for physical ranged classes in my view. I cannot believe this has been going on for this many years. An archer that doesn't actually shoot arrows... who ever thought this was a good idea? :/
Black Mage and casters in general. I like being mobile.
Dark Knight.
I think my fault was expecting a Death Knight from WoW, the self sustaining, life-draining juggernaut and getting absolutely nothing like it. I like TBN and I like the aesthetics and that's about it. The gameplay and rotation always seems to need fixing, DRK always seems to be the "mediocre but viable" tank and the class excels at nothing important.
Also definitely Ninja. I don't mind freely admitting I simply wasn't good enough to play Ninja. Getting those perfect Trick Attack timings, minimal mudra clipping with no mess-ups, handling TCJ, weaving all those ogcd's, are all important when you bring very low personal dps and I just wasn't great at it.
Scholar feels weird, though admittedly I spend more time playing Summoner, so that might just be the result of me not practicing it as much as I could.
Monk, Ninja, and Samurai also feel odd to me, though more-so the latter two than the former.
I'd probably say Monk.
Since I just don't really love the theme ("it's not you, it's me.." lol, the monk theme is just okay to me) it means picking it up randomly and remembering all the positional and then also all the optimal patterns (its not impossible but it's "extra" to me). Dragoon positional and what have you are easier since there is just less of all of that noise going together. I don't hate it, but it doesn't click for me. I assume others love it though :P.
I did suggest an idea though that I think could help make Monk, and positional in general I guess, easier to pick up with positional optionally being marked on your icons (like notches on the edges of the icon, allowing you to know the positional at a glance and before you need to do it). Here.
Any of the Melee DPS, Scholar and BLM. It feels like a chore trying to level any of those for me.
Red Mage by miles.. it just feels boring to me.
Ninja for me. I just can't wrap my head around it's core mechanics and even looking at guides has me just going ever so slightly cross eyed. It's my Deep Dungeon class, because at least there I don't feel like I'm holding people back by being bad with leveling it.
BLM on the other hand is growing on me, even if I'm now crying over all the leylines memes due to their sheer accuracy.

SMN/ SCH, because I absolutely abhor pet classes. They never feel like "an extension of my self/ class" or any of that stuff they like to advertise but instead like a dumb pile of pixels I have to sent from A to B and tell it how to breathe because it doesn't get anything done right by itself.
Also the whole excessive number throwing and "more intelligent than thou" during the ARC quests and even some SCH quests really put me off and I found it incredibly annoying because it felt so forced and overdone. SCH quests were generally much better and I liked the story with the tonberrys, fairy and wanderer's palace but the class theme in general was just not my thing.
Other wise I think I'm okay with most classes. I don't see myself ever really getting into NIN or WAR, but it's not as bad as with SMN/ SCH, where the class theme just gets on my nerves und I want to strangle my fairy/ egi.
You are a turret. Turrets don't move!
I love having BLM in my party. Though they need some extra attention, at least I always know for certain who's gonna be targeted by all the aoes. Escpecially once the leylines are down. Let's take a moment to appreciate our involuntary mechanic soakers <3
DRK, BRD, WAR. I hate bows and heavy weaponry. The only Archer class I like is Magick Archer from Dragons Dogma
DNC for me, I just feel like I am watching for procs for too long, compared to looking at the arena for mechs.
I also don't like melee, Becoz positionals, and ping makes it awkward when the boss moves, I really don't like doing a move, doing the full animation, only to find it didnt actually go through because the boss is moving, despite me being right on its butt.
Any DPS Melee Jobs because i hate positionals, and WAR, i do play as WAR everyday along with all Tanks, but WAR who used to be my favorite Job is dead to me since SB where they lost most of their Mechanics and Wrath Stacks, the job now is just boring and even worst. When i finish the new WAR Achievment probably i'm gonna stop playing the job until next Expansion to see what happens.
Bard. It feels clunky to me and i just don't like it. Imho i don't like playing any hunter type classes in any mmo anymore. Plus It reminds me too much of bad memories i had during my wow days when my very first class in that game was a dwarf hunter that i wish not to remember :(
BLM. Sorry YoshiP. It doesn't feel good and I don't like leyline management or getting admonished for using skills I'm apparently not supposed to be using post 50?? I can never get a clear answer on the job and all I want to do is have a magic DPS for the role quests. And I don't enjoy RDM which leaves SMN to which I ignored because I didn't want to manage a pet.
(But lore [crying])
MNK - I like the concept, the aesthetic, the glamours, and gameplay feels better than in SB. I REALLY want to like the job but it just feels.....boring.
[dis]honorable mentions - MCH and GNB - I have no interest whatsoever in technology/engineer archetype classes.
ShB AST, one of my favorite jobs in SB. Monk, my SB favorite, close behind. I still can't even go as fast in GL4 as with SkS in GL3.
Used to be SB Bard, having loved Bard in ARR and HW. Now it's one of my favorites though. *Shrug*
I used to main ninja back in final coil for raid, it was great then, now it's just utter bleh. It needs a TON of love right now. I got it to 80, but I got rid of my ninja gear afterwords.
And I've just never enjoyed playing Black Mage at all. Server ticks interrupting me when I'm standing still and losing spells/ect just really throws me over the edge, and I'm just screaming at my own character while playing it. I'm glad I got it to 80 and won't be touching it again until 6.0
Echoing a lot of this thread, I cannot Monk to save my life.
Monk and Dragoon would be the biggest two for me.
I tend to love melee DPS in general, but I hate melee DPS that is hugely positional-dependent specifically. It's hard enough getting my own derp-arse in the right spot, but when I actually DO and then the thing moves (tank moved, someone else ripped aggro, or anything else)........ blaaaaaaargh it just sends me off the deep end. x_x
Blu and Rdm
Compared to ffta and ffxi versions of the jobs, 14 absolutely did not “swing the bat” for those two roles after having multiple other ff games to compare them with. Both were my #1 goto roles in every other ff game, even ffx2 blue mage variant, but 14, nope. Im still insulted by them both.
It feels like SE all but abandoned blue too. The test run of it was supposed to be caught up by ShB instead its not even been updated once lol
The only Tank job I had for a long time was DRK, but once I gave Gunbreaker a shot I suddenly found DRK hard to play. GNB plays so much like a DPS class that if feels really naturally to me but when I go back to DRK I feel like I'm constantly fighting against the clunkiness. With GNB I have standard DPS rotations but with DRK I've got 2 ST and 2 AOE attacks that are drawing power from 2 different gauges and I'm often repeatedly spamming the same attack over and over again, causing me to spend far more time staring at my hotbar, my gauges and on my buffs during delirium then I begin to lose focus with the fight. With GNB, the rotations are instinctive so I get to spend far more time actually keeping my eyes on the fight.
SCH is a bane of my FF14 carreer.
I believe I can do all DPS at least a bit beyond mediocre level.
Even Tanks and other healer jobs,I can get by by perform at mediocre level.
But I don’t understand the usage of some scholar’s skill no matter how I try to understand them.
For example,
Deployment Tactics - why do I have to extend Galvanize duration while I can just recast Adlo.
Emergency Tactics - why do I have to turn shield into healing while I can just physick when the shield is active.
Dissipation & Fey Illumination - kill my own faiery for healing boost ? If the job need healing potency boost that much, I’d prefer playing AST- Noct sect that can buff everyone with cards and have regen from Celestial Intersection and Neutral Sect skill.
So TLDR ; screw scholar.
Thank God by leveling summoner to 80,I can just get scholar to 80 in one go.so I don’t have to suffer leveling this job seperately.
MNK.
It just feels very clunky to me.
monk
reason: i dont like to think that hard
Monk, two things that make me want to cry is the boss being turned for no reason and having to form shift constantly while running through a dungeon.
While I was able to get the hang of Ninja at some point and almost started to enjoy it, I can't bring myself to like Monk at all. Maybe it is a melee thing (but then again SAM & DRG are pretty cool) or a positioning thing (and let's be honest - MNK is the worst/most challenging in that case). But I never know where to stand, got tired of jumping around and the medicore story for Monk didn't help to feel some love for this class. I'll still level them like all my jobs but probably at the very very last.
Black Mage. I tried my best to bring him to 70, but I really can't stand the long casting spells...
SMN. I couldn't tell why, there is just not one single redeeming aspect, I hate everything about the job.
Since ACN was the only class not already at 50 when ARR was released, I used it for the main story. After that I've only used it to finish some of the job quests, but I have since given up on those too. If I never have to touch it again it'll be too soon. Massive disappointment of a much anticipated class/job.
