Markers On Ability Icons to Notate Positional Direction

I don't have a preference on how it looks but I thought it would be nice if there was an option to turn on positional info for abilities. The above is some bad color gold notch, obviously it'd be professionally done and with a better color lol.

Like in the above example image you can see there is a gold (ish) line that is on the edge of each icon. Showing that demolish is a rear ability (bonus from the back), while twin snakes is a flank ability (marker is on the sides). IF it can't be made an option (turn on and off in menu) or SE wants it to be hidden usually then you might be able to get away with making it so the directional is only shown (on the icon) when you can take advantage of it properly (like if you are in raptor form then twin snakes is highlighted and shows the directional but if you're not in raptor form then it's just as is since you can't use it anyways), that'd work for most things but a few abilities might not work (but the info would only show up as its available then, there is some benefit of being able to see it before you need it so you can plan your movements).

For people who know their job obviously not very helpful at all, but I just picked up monk after not touching it in a long while and was like "oh god what was the direction for that again?" and I'm mousing over the abilities every now and then trying to memorize it. Monk is a lot of alternating on step 2 / 3 so it's a bit easier to pick up but I just used it as an example since I was reading over the abilities and thinking "this could be more visually oriented info".

It's just a small QoL change and if it could be an option (so the icon can be pure original if people prefer), I think it would be nice and help people pick up jobs more effectively/smoothly.

    Thanks for reading .

I'd really like this. I'll get the positionals down eventually whenever I stick with the same job for a while, but then when I switch between jobs, it's like starting over from scratch each time.

With a controller, I don't even have the option of just mousing over the abilities to remind myself where each one's positional is. (With the cross-hotbars, we get the icon and name, but no tooltip.) The only way to see them is to open the Actions and Traits window and find the skill there so I can select it and review the description. That's how I review my skills when returning to a job I haven't played in a while, but it's not exactly something I can review while running from one mob group to another in a dungeon.

I even briefly considered making single skill macros just so that I could name the skills myself combining their standard name with their position, but I didn't want to lose the ability to queue skills in advance, which macros can't do. Having markers for it on the icons would be great.

On straight hotbars, put all your Rear actions on one bar and all your Flank actions on another bar.

    MNK for example, goes 1)Bootshine 2)TrueStrike 3)Demolish, alt1)DragonKick alt2)TwinSnakes alt3) SnapPunch.

For crosshotbars, put Rear actions on LT and Flank actions on RT; or put the Rear actions on down/up slots and the Flank actions on left/right slots.
