A Power Aura's type system would be nice

I feel like a built-in power auras type notification for various ability procs would be nice. I enjoy playing classes like Bard and Dancer but I hate having to watch my bars most of the time looking for procs. Also placing buttons on a 200% sized button bar in the middle of my screen isn't a solution. It's annoying always having those buttons blocking my view of this otherwise beautiful game.

There is sound effects when you get a 3 stack for pitch perfect
for bloodletter procs i typically just spam the bloodletter key during OGCD's to not waste procs, stopping shortly before the gcd comes up to not clip

No sound effect for max feathers sucks, though

For Bard, I don't know how it is with the regular job gauge but the simplified job gauge flashes briefly whenever Bloodletter procs. Maybe you can place it in a more noticeable position in your UI layout and see if it helps.

It makes a sound effect for one of the bard songs when their procs are fully ready. 3 stacks for Wanderer's Minuet. Army's Paeon and Mage's Ballad just flash only when you get one of your four notes up/refresh on your Bloodletter/Rain of Death.

I know people in real life who have different sensitivity to different stimuli. Some are more sensitive to sight, some more to sound, etc. There is no doubt that FFXIV caters to a very specific set of playskill. Let's entertain the possibility that different people are good at different things, and a slight change in the UI can often release the potential of players who are otherwise being obstructed by an UI that is playing to their weaknesses.

This topic is worth a lot more thought than a simple "git gud" trash response.

That said, I doubt they'll ever do that, as they have repeated claimed that the UI is not open to any significant change because they've maxed out whatever they have to work with. I have a bar (not magnified) as a HUD to watch for procs as I often have my own music playing and it drowns out the battle sound effects, so sound cues are often lost on me. It's a trade off one has to make.

I could live with the button bar in the middle of my screen if they added an option to auto-hide a bar when you're out of combat.

Isn't there kind of something like this, unsheathed/sheathed action bars?

Yeah I've been messing with my hotbar a lot lately trying to find something that works... really frustrating having to spend so much time looking at my hotbar when I'd rather be looking ahead for mechanics lol

Do you have your more frequent skills Within reach? I play on ps4 but I set all my skills with timers etc on my top cross bar just within the pref vision so I can catch them out of the corner of my eye and just muscle memory hit the skill, it's not perfect.

Yeah I have it set up so my main moves are closest to the center of my screen

I just like... Have a ton of problems keeping an eye on everything on top of tracking *eight procs.* It's really only a problem during flourish, when I'm trying to track a bit of everything, but it's gotten me into trouble a few times.

I know I've still got some improving to do, but having godawful eyesight certainly isn't helping me any. Auras definitely helped me a lot in WoW xD

I toyed with this long ago and it did nothing. I did some searching and it appears to only effect controller hotbars from what I could find.
