huh? the loot system looks the same as the other raids we have, don't see how it's extra grindy, and the new treasure dungeon is still 2 weeks away, so don't expect anything on that yet.
The main thing that confuses me is increasing the title screen music volume, isn't it loud enough already?
Treasure map portals were always later i think araound x.1 and crafting books will be comming with Savage or even a bit later.
See you all in the raid!
What really got my interest was "Sound effects for certain gunbreaker actions have been adjusted." What does that mean? Will we get an actual explanation?
If i'm reading right .. is gonna take 16 weeks to get all of the items.
Edit: nvm forgot the raid is split up into 4 parts.
Dancer took the nerf bat in pvp.
What part of minor patch do you don't understand?

nah it isn't extra grindy its the same grind they have done since they updated Gordias loot table, they'll be 4 drops per floor, at least 1 of each item that can drop in that floor,
-floor 1 belt, accessories and feet
-floor 2 accessories, feet and head
-floor 3 head, hands, legs
-floor 4 hands, legs, body + 1/7 weekly drop (everyone gets this) needed for tomestone weapon that will be released in 2 weeks
The same plan that was made in HW to get all gear within 5 weeks applies here too.
patch 5.05 is due in 2 weeks this will have savage, most likely have the crafting in it (they may delay 2 days or release it together who knows they have done either before), as for treasure maps either 2 weeks or patch 5.08 to 5.1 depending on what they need to do for it.
It's only patch 5.01, not 5.1. I think for what's being released it's a really nice amount of content.
I have a couple of disappointments however; 1. Not a lot of balance changes, 2. No more updates for headgear / hairstyles for the new races.
I think they're pushing content that was already finished, or close to it, before launch. I personally think that items that got shoved off priority during development should be resumed after launch since the crunch is done, BUT I'm also not a game developer and have absolutely no idea how the flow of game content release should go.
I really hope Yoshi pushes his team to finish the content they didn't get to, but overall I don't think for a .01 patch it's bad at all. This is for banadage fixes and content that was already done.
Thanks SE :)
This was literally all announced in a prior Live Letter as part of a slide detailing the SHB launch schedule. How anyone can be even remotely disappointed is beyond me. Following that, we never got meaningful balance changes until the Savage raid releases, for reference go and look up the patch note archives for 4.01 and 4.05, 4.01 was literally just enmity boosts for tanks and a few fluff potency changes.
The new map dungeon has been stated in the patch notes for 5.0 two weeks ago to be releasing in 5.05.
Honestly this community never ceases to amaze me in what they find to complain about.
x.01 have always been more of "this isnt exactly as we intended" adjustments rather than "this isn't working and the players are complaining" adjustments. Those should come with 5.05, after the raid to test it all out.
And I expect they don't want to release things like new hairstyles/headgear for Viera/Hrothgar piecemeal, and will likely release a bunch more at some point. Would like to say 5.05 too but don't want to get ahead of myself, could be 5.1
honestly, i found the server status updates a better read. Balmung is standard and primal is closed.
edit: i take that back. i didn't notice they opened a couple of the congested ones on primal. looks like a couple on aether are open again too.
The normal Eden Raid will be via Duty Finder, correct? So no groupfinder parties needed / guild needed? This will be the "savage" content?
Sorry for asking, didn't play since ARR Bahamut and that was arranged groups, not duty finder.
The normal raid is easier than Bahamut was in ARR. You can do this with randoms via duty finder no problem.
The savage raid will be released in 2 weeks and will be around the difficulty of Bahamut in ARR. You can use the raid finder (wich is just another duty finder) but party finder / guild / pre-made raidgroups are recommended.
Anyone on my server wanna party with me to experience the new raid instantly? Look I want friends and I want to experience this ASAP. So whoever doesn't hate me... please find me once the game is back on. PLEASE. :c
They raised the volume of the title screen music for some reason.
