Wars in need if potency increases

Warrior needs single target increases. Starting from the bottoms, inner beast needs increases at the lower lvls, 350 is weaker than eye and path. Fell cleave feels weak and is too weak to be the hit that makes up for our weaker eye and path combos. Pld gets a fell cleave every third GCD. Inner chaos needs a small increase too.

Please don’t nerf other thanks to make us feel stronger.

You do realize Roh is 350 same as inner beast

I'd be curious to know what RoH stands for. If you're talking about Rage of Halone that's a different skill from Inner Beast. Inner Beast is our gauge dump, which is where a massive boost in damage is supposed to come from. Without any kind of bonus for it then there's little reason to use it at lvl 50 as it stands except to get rid of our gauge or hit with a powerful attack under the effects of berserk.

Rage of halone does the same damage as inner beast but as a single gcd

You're forgetting that Eye and path both require combos in order to be that strong. IB can be used in a single GCD, rather than 3. Making it any stronger will cause some serious balance issues, especially as content below 60 was never designed with potencies that high in mind. There is a reason the tank dps meta only really came in to full force in heavensward.

How does it feel weak? Ignoring inner chaos for a moment - Warriors get windows for guaranteed direct crits, something the other tanks dont have access too. Furthermore, Fell cleave is only 10 less potency than blood spiller...and again, you get the ability to guarantee direct crits on it every two minutes.

I dont think your argument has any basis in reality at all.

It’s not about one job. They made gunbreaker too. I don’t care if people ask for buffs, I just don’t want to see the entire of tanking thrown out of wack when the DPS spread is something like 150. That’s actually pretty well balanced. I’d say the best it’s ever been.

It’s a tough case to make for DPS potency buffs when that is the case and just makes you sound petty.

They'll just put any potency buff on Fell Cleave.

You do realize that the request has nothing to do with level 80 right? Inner beast is just used until it transformes.to FC. This has nothing to do with lv 80 balance. I wont comment on lv 50 tank balamce cuz i havent bothered to look at how the tanks stack up at lv 50. But regardless this does nothing to lv 80. Read plz.

This is why people shouldnt make duplicate threads. The other one is far better discussion about lv 50 content and how IB is now weaker than 3rd step combos which is a little strange. This one is talking about sjws..../facepalm.

The tank DPS differential is absolutely minimal. But of course, SE will cave to the loudest section of tank players because they've babied Warriors since 2.1.

These guys dont remember their history. If you want to know the job the game is about you watch derplander. In 1.x it was about brd. In 2.x he changed to war.3.x he became a drg. 4.x was about sam (though he also made an appeareance as mnk). 5.x hes a drk.

You guys need to rewatch the trailers. Game hasnt been about war since 2.X!

Yeah, Wars are doing a slightly less than the other 3 tanks oddly enough (5-8% less, so just noticeable.) A small pot increase here and there should be nice, but not that big of a deal.

I don't think potency is what we need. I think we need actual skills. Take a good look at your level 80 hotbar and compare it to your old level 70 hotbar. Yes, we lost alot of our bloated skills we never used, but lets be honest... what we have now is extremely baren when compared to all other jobs. One example is deliverance stance. Yes, every tank lost their damage increases from those stances, but WAR also lost the passive crit buff which is now completely gone. That might not seem like much, you need to add it to what we have lost.
We have a gap closer we almost never use outside of IR window while all other tanks use them on cooldown for extra damage.
Finally... we are the only tank without a DoT (Salted Earth is a DoT). So lets actually look at our job guage. Its used for upheavel, and fell cleave/decimate. That is our class until inner release. It needed more tools to play with for our job guage like other classes, but we basically only got Nascent Flash with 2 passive traits/skills.

Yes. Others are talking about potency increases and IMO we simply need more abilities to fill in the downtime. Basically we have 1 oGCD in Upheaval and Fell/Feller Cleave. Sure raw potency would help but it's not going to make much difference in playstyle, and as much as I hate to say it WAR is actually kinda boring to play. IC is fun until a WHM comes along and makes it look pedestrian.

Wait, who was baseballing rage orbs around? Dodora or whatever? Are we talking about the lvl 80 war quest? It was super quick and I didn't see any auras - Except gorge when he got jealous.

Something I'm waiting to see is how things pan out once gear gets us over the crit breakpoint (3000ish). That will probably be a built-in buff to WAR given where most of our damage comes from.

I find the idea of this being accepted as "okay" as an alarming issue with the job in general. Making a job's damage reliant solely on if one stat is optimally good at the time or not is bad design (in my opinion). Most seasoned WARs I know (as well as myself) didn't like the change to IR and instead should have just gotten a straight DPS increase rather than the Crit/DH treatment. A one time use for your next skill makes sense, what is basically 40% of your kit reliant on that aspect seems problematic if anything.

The change was actually done to limit the random spikiness of Warrior damage due to Crit/Direct Hit. During this point in time during SB Warriors had very unreliable damage due to the different in damage between having multiple Direct Crit Fell Cleaves and none at all.

My problem with that sentiment is it assumes we'll have a lot of crit on gear in future patches. It's kind of a like a "wait for the patch notes" response. We may, but the gear could also be absolute trash. Not only that, but the other tanks will also benefit so it's not like they will stay at the same level while only WAR gets stronger.

Secondly, having auto CDH means we don't get to benefit from a lot of raid buffs. I stand by an earlier comment that it feels like SE balanced the other tanks to compete with WARs damage without needing auto CDH on their burst. Like, if WAR does 7000 dps with CDH, the other tanks are brought up to 7000 dps too. The problem now is padding, because the tanks doing 7000 base dps get padded to 7500+ dps via crit/direct hit/etc raid buffs.

This is both a good and a bad thing. It makes us less reliant on party comp but also imposes a ceiling that the other tanks don't have.
