Please change Viera's running animation!.

I feel that Viera's running animation is far from feminine and really needs to be changed.


They currently run like male athletes at the Olympic games when they should be cute and graceful just like the bunnies they are!...

Except they're not another dainty waifu race.

They run fine.

Animation is fine.

They run just fine. They don't need to be all dainty and uwu like a few of the other races, especially considering the fact that the lore for the race paints them as anything /but/ cute. They're basically the FF14 equivalent of Amazons with thigh muscles to match. The last thing they're going to be doing is prancing.

I mean, if you want a "feminine" running animation go play a midlander. Viera's is fine. Miqo'te's isn't really "feminine" either for that matter.

Nah, I'm good. It's one of the better running animations in the game.

SE please spend a huge amount of time and resources on completely changing a fundamental aspect of a brand new race that is completely cosmetic, subjective in quality and is not broken in the slightest, just because this one guy said so.

I have Hyur Midlander alts and they run in a very feminine motion, female Miqo'te run femininely as well but also on the really cute side which is fantastic because kitten are the sweetest race in-game.


Viera however are not cute at all when running, all other animations are fine but running is awful!...

I also like Vieras run animation, and all of their animations in general, they aren't too exaggerated and cutesy like Au Ra and Miqo'te.

Viera aren't cute bunnies, they are fierce hares. Have you seen Hares fight? Can get pretty brutal.

I think your are mixing feminine with dainty. Viera are feminine.

Interestingly enough the thing I disliked the most about female Midlander was that running animation. I endured it long enough before I fantasiased into Viera and I'm enjoying every part the animations display about the their personality. I am no longer dainty, I came from the forest and I run like I mean it. It's a fiercer sort of beauty and I'm loving it.

As someone whose Viera alt is trying to pass as a male, no thank you, it's fine as is. XD

Knees pointed inward. Arms extending from the sides at a roughly 15 degree angle, while bent around 45-60 degrees at the elbow. Wrists bent upwards as hard as you can. And all limbs flailing wildly.

Just like in my favorite anime about cute girls doing cute things and nothing else.

Femininity comes in a lot of shapes. The word you're looking for is dainty. Delicate. Frail (not in a bad way) even. Viera are feminine, just not by your standards, but feminine nonetheless.

Why make the female Viera like the other wifu races?

I like their running animation. So please SE keep it how it is.

No please, I like Viera running animation exactly as it is. I've had too many female characters forced to walk and run "daintily" in my life, I'm tired of it and welcome the change.

As someone who played female Roe for years, i love this running animation because it's the same exact Roe run. You don't like it? Well keep walking then. The rest of us who aren't so superficial keep running and like it.

They're not going to change it. It's already in game. Tough luck.

I completely disagree...but not whether it should be changed or not. I just ran a bit myself, these do *not* run like athletes. The animation is kinda feminine tbh. And that's not a bad thing, but your comment makes me wonder, you know certain jobs have unique running animations when their weapon's drawn, right? Maybe that's what you're seeing?

Viera are the equivalent of Amazons. They don’t need to be dainty.

They are badass warriors and protectors, they don't need to be hip hoppity skipping through the daisies for no one.

btw when op said running animation, does he mean the normal run or the sprint one? i though the spring animation is pretty much the same as other races?

This thread reminds me a little too much of the other thread from a few weeks ago, before Shadowbringers dropped, with certain people complaining about how tall the Viera are and how tall women weren't "feminine" and even straight up not attractive. And that person ousted themselves as a deliberate troll.

Ugh leave Viera alone! Go back to your dainty uguu races and be as dainty, smol and princess-like as you wish. Viera have NEVER been anything but Amazonian and fierce, their animations fit that perfectly.

Given their height/size I think their running animation is perfect. I'm also pretty happy with their standing and sitting poses as well as many of their emotes. I was worried when they announced Viera that the animations might spoil it for me but that certainly didn't happen for me.

They have bodys like athletes, so of course they run like one. I also don't think they are meant to be that kind of cute, not at their height. They are agile like bunnies and that's how they run IMO.
I'm really just glad they don't run anything like Au Ra or Elezen.
