It's really not that bad, in my opinion.
Yeah I agree! For a tanking weapon its too small.
too tell the truth i wish the blade part was longer, and if we can have Seifer Weapon also. it would be nice to have some final fantasy 8 theme gun blades.
Squall was the same, though. He had no need to hold his gunblade over his shoulder, but he still did. It's clearly just for style, not for any actual practical benefits. I will agree with you that it's weird that the Gunblade isn't a dps class, though. I always found that a weird choice from the moment it was announced, but such is the way of it.
Since the whole class is a tribute to Squall, and he's not really a tank, I wouldn't really expect anything realistic from the class. Rather, I'd equate it to the standard anime badass trope, the guy who doesn't use or wear anything practical and simply just fights with cool moves and stances. A duelist that focuses on style over everything else.
Way closer to Nero than Dante. Considering that boiled down, Red Queen is essentially a Gunblade. Just trade the gunpowder/aether cartridges for an ICE.
Aside from that it looks like Gunbreaker uses a single-handed version of the "wrath guard" (or Zornhut) as its neutral stance:

Will add my voice to this. In a Hrothgar hand in particular, the weapon looks laughably tiny. It's a two-handed weapon for Squall, but fits in just one of my mitts.
The only gunblade I've used so far that looks too small is the Scaevan one because it folds up and really shouldn't.
the lvl 73 dungeon gun blade is really nice if people are after a nice looking gun blade that's a decent size
Dyable too
Fae manatrigger
figure i point that out im still grinding for it ;-;
I do think the Revolver could use a minor size increase.

What is up with the gunblade for GNB being too small? I've said this before, but some lookedlike a decent size while most I've seen so far looked like a rifle from afar. That's my main issue with gnb weapons: is that they look like rifles and not a blades.
its probably because the lack of them it is i think theres not even 20 of them im pretty sure
like if we have Titan,Sephirot,Theordon,Alex and such probably be much bigger version
Ironically, yes. XD At least Squall's. Haven't really seen the others yet.
I went back into the game, put on my Squall glamour and inspected the blade closer. It really seems to be smaller than I remember. Especially after I put some hours into Dissidia NT recently. The blade doesn't feel... weighty enough. I'm not sure what would be optimal. Maybe a 10% size increase, so it feels just right?

I took the images from the friend above me, rotated and adjusted the size of the image so the barrel and the trigger section would be in close size to each other and here is the result.
It indeedhas blade shorter by about 18-20%, and handle a little bigger which doesnt really matter since its the blade that is most important

Yeah, the Squall's gunblade in XIV does look smaller; especially with the evidence from the images above. Just needs a resize and a bit of polishing, too in order to make the gunblade look less like a toy.
Seriously, XIV's version looks like a toy gunblade when you get a good look at it. It just doesn't have that nice metal look to it that Squall's gunblade has.
It is a bit smaller but the size doesn't make it look like a 'toy' to me. Maybe the texture could use some work but calling it a toy based on the size alone doesn't quite land for me.
I hope they'll also be able to adjust how we grab the handle of the blade. I'm happy that they put it into the game, but there are just a bunch of very minor flaws, that makes it not 100% satisfying to wield.
