Is anyone else really bummed that they didn't add primal gear for the new jobs? Or cr

3.0 launched with Ifrit/Garuda/etc. primal gear for AST and DRK. It also launched with crafted Ramuh weapons.

4.0 launched with Ifrit/Garuda/Bismarck/etc primal gear for RDM and SAM. It also launched with crafted Ravana/Sophia/etc. gear.

5.0 launches and GNB and DNC don't have any gear from past primals for glamour and there's no crafted weapons for any of the Stormblood primals (crafted Suzaku/Tsukuyomi/Shinryu weapons could have been really cool!)

Combined with them not adding any new PVP gear (which is always great for glamours) I just feel like there's no good new glam gear so far this expansion.

Has SE said if these things *will* be added ever?

Extremly bummed tbh. I wasn't expecting the lvl 50 stuff, but I sure was expecting the lvl 60 weapons.

I am also rather sad about it and do hope they will be added soon or at all. I was prepared to have some primal weapons for glamouring crafted. :(

I was actually MORE expecting the level 50 ones to have weapons than the level 60 ones, for a few reasons.

1) The 2.xx primals are more iconic to the series. Ifrit, Titan, Leviathan, Shiva, etc.

2) It could breathe new life into that outdated content.

I was expecting them too. It’s the first thing I looked when I unlocked DNC. I didn’t think they wouldn’t have been added. It made me very sad and disappointed. I hope they do add them.

I farmed Tsukuyomi, Ravana and Sophia for the mats I needed for the weapons. I am extremely sad. I hope they add them on the 2nd or atleast during another patch.

Do they typically add things on the release patch that isn't in early access?

I farmed tokens from all the SB primals to get a gun/dnc weapon in case they look cool. First thing I checked after unlocking gun. Very disappointing...

During Stormblood they released the weapons during early access for Sam and Rdm for ALL primals and currencies. This time around they didn't so I'm being optimistic and hoping they are releasing them when the game officially launches, to keep the weapons a surprise for people who dont get to experience DNC/GNB yet

Yeah, I am really sad, especially that we didn't get Shiva weapons. I always use them for glamour. Gonna have to find a new set of weapons that all match.

I was expecting all of the 2.0 ones (especially MoggleMog--those weapons are so popular. Imagine a Dancer with that one, all the music notes particle effects) and some of the more popular ones from 3.0 and onward (Ravana, Sophia, etc)

If I can't have a burning Ifrit weapon, I'm not leveling that job, I don't care how much I love it. I need mah fire!

Reason the first. Its not officially the launch of 5.0

Reason the second. Consecutively since 3.0 Crafters have placed said primal weapons farther and farther past the budget of someone who isnt an omni crafter thus bumming out new players more and more. (9 million for a Sophia weapon e.g.)

Reason the third.It's only been 42 Hours Since Pre-Access and Gunbreaker and Dancer weapons are on the MB for 200+K gil thus reinforcing Reason the Second be the reason. Though I suspect quite likely its the first reason.

Yeah, I've actually got a feeling that it's #1 influenced by both 2 and 3, but mostly by 2. Trying to be patient and see what happens.

I bought up several million gil worth of demimog demimateria thinking i'd quadruple their value. hopefully they get patched in soon so i can cash in.

I am bummed for sure but I'm holding out hope they will be added at a later time, kinda like additional hairstyles for buns :X

How can I continue my glamour gimmick without Shiva weapons? :(

Imagine, six expansions down the line, SE adds two new classes AGAIN and -needs- to make 80-some new level 50, 60, ect weapons for people who -demand- it because they could do it when the game only had 2 endgames.

This is the point where they can't. Not in the same 2 year period that they could before. We could see some in the future, but for now, find one or two that suit your fancy and call it a day.

I admit I am a bit disappointed as well. Would have loved to see an Ifrit-Inspired Flame-Trigger-Esque Gunblade that I could use for Glamour Purposes. Maybe they were just struggling to come up with designs or wanted to push out the Expansion ASAP? I mean.. If we are lucky we could be getting them with the Full Release of Shadowbringers on the 2nd of July. Perhaps with us getting Early Access we only got a bit of stuff added in terms of "Required Content" which could explain why we got certain weapons and not other ones.

Just speculation and theory mind you but it would at least be a bit better than going "They decided to be lazy with the new classes."

Not really, no. But this is also the first time that so many weapons are simply unavailable to the new jobs, so...it's hard to say.

I was hoping to see some Ironworks weapons as they usually do some pretty good designs for them. I was rather sad when I did not see them. I guess I will just have to settle for Scaeven weapons for my transforming weapon itch for GNB.

As i see it the whole Addon seems half-baked in that regard.
No Primal Weapons, Viera don't have any visible Hat that's on the top of the Head, EVEN if it would fit no problem.
Also Viera feet are broken Lore-wise (five toes like all other Races instead of 3 Toes like in FF12). Only the beginner outfit has heels, all other Gear is normal. It also looks like some outfits are copypaste of other races (proportions changing too much, when wearing).

The only Gear (weapons) for the new 2 classes pre-Shadowbringer seems to be level 61-69 craft Weapons and leveling Dungeons. Level 70 seems only to by the ilvl 360/390. NO level 70 Weapon craftable.

I don't feel like the expansion is half-baked overall--the battle system and all roles had a pretty substantial overhaul. But I do feel like the gear and items is so lacking this time around. Usually I spent the first hour or so of my time after first logging in going to the market board/NPCs and looking at all the different new gear sets.

Bummed but not surprised. Though I'd have loved a Tsukiyomi DNC weapon.

i collect the ramuh weapons and a friend collects the shiva ones so sad that those werent added in, hopefully theyre planned for later like the zurvanite weapons we dont have yet

Mmm, I’m fairly certain they were available during Early Access. Because I unlocked RDM to FATE farm with friends since Duty Finder was busted and I crafted myself the Ramuh weapon to use—in addition to selling a few for a couple million a piece.

Was all at early access. I had saved totems to buy the katana from Sophia.

I not going to hold my breath, looks like SE has decided that is not a good idea to add old stuff for new classes.

I definitely wasn't expecting anything for them below level 60; it would've set a bad precedent that they'd have to add ALL primal weapons whenever a new job was added from 50 on up for every expansion, which seems just too unrealistic.

I would like to see a dev response though as to why there are no crafted weapons for the new jobs for previous expansions this time around.

The only times I've killed primals was when it was required for the MSQ. I don't think I got any gear from them, so I never went back again.

That is because after the first couple primals in ARR they became drops at the end of Extreme trials or were made purchasable for totems which were also obtained from their respective Extremes. Some were crafted from rare materials which only dropped from those so they could have their own unique glow effects. All of this is what GNB and DNC currently lack and no one knows why. No weapons from lvl 50 content? That's fine, and that was to be expected. But lvl 60? The level they both start at? That just doesn't seem right, especially since SAM and RDM both got ALL of theirs right away even during early access. And they didn't even bother to add much of anything at lvl 70 either. Even more confusing.

I imagine they will be added later on... Maybe 5.1, maybe later...

Looking at 4.1 in SB for reference, 5.1 has a bunch of content already lined up...

5.1 if it follows everything the same, it'll raise the Squadron level cap and add some SB dungeons for command missions, Beast tribe quests, The first 24-man raid and Hildibrand.

And they said back sometime around when Blue Mage was coming that it would get an update at 5.1 (or first patch after the release of Shadowbringers)...

I was a little bummed that they didn't any Primal weapons for Dancer, but I will get used to it. I was hoping I could get a Shiva Dancer weapon though since they are pretty much my favorite. I was also ready to used Seiryu totems for lv70 weapon, but it's fine. I will just go with tome wep. Perhaps they will add some later.

I'm bummed but tbh I'm more bummed that this whole expansion seems rushed. Don't get me wrong there is a ton of stuff to love about it. But the races are incomplete (hats not showing, voices are bugged to all hell, hair clipping way more than other races, very very limited hair options), the jobs are missing the primal weapons, I found tons of typos in NPC convos, Titania has no voice over for when you face her through MSQ (not even Jap), hell even the teleport menu seems rushed, everything is in one big pile. Like honestly would have rather they kept the same level of quality than the previous ones even if it meant either delaying release or delaying things to further patches.

I like my expansion to feel complete when I buy them. I never got the feeling I got now from HW or SB.

Well, there's hotfixes tonight prior to official launch so I guess we'll see.

I wanted to see the SB/moogle weapons. Hopefully they add them in the future.

i have my hopes that they are on the way, im looking forward to Sophia and Bismark weapons
