shadowbringers payment date

so there going to start charging for all the pre orders on thursday, but my problem is i wont have the money for it until the day after when i get paid, is there anything i could do to get them to hold off on my payment until the following day? i have the collectors edition and i really dont want to lose it :(

You could try contacting customer support if nothing else...but as far as I can tell if the money isn't in there and they try to charge it, the order will be cancelled. That was stated in the email I received.

Did you go with the regular payment method or PayPal? From my experience PayPal takes at least a day or two to post the charge to your account. If it is only one day then it should be fine. If you didn't go PayPal then I would ask support if you can change the payment method

Then I would suggest consult with support as I believe they should be able to change your payment method for you.

well i turned off overdraft protection from my bank so worst case ill just eat the overdraft fee. lol this collectors could end up costing me 260$ lol but worth it...

imho you should be good. Most if notall banks don't officially post payments until the next day at the earliest. Even if it is charged the morning of Thursday, it will sit as a pending transaction for at least a day, potentially.

Meaning for those that pre-ordered Shadowbringers, their accounts will be officially charged on the 6th of June. You should have gotten an email on it. I had paid mine off last month to prepare early.

Not entirely. As long as you don't have it set with your bank to block all transactions that will push you over your balance. It will not pull from your account right away the same day but show as a pending transaction. It will take at least a day before it is officially pulled from the account. Though unless you did PayPal then you are in a good stance as it won't show on your bank account for at least a day or two.

No nor me, but I've had the money saved since I pre ordered the two copies back on announcement. But I'm now glad its coming out on Thursday.

As far as I'm aware my bank blocks all transactions that push me over the balance, for example if I don't have enough money aside for FF14 sub, it will not take it and stop me from playing.

And I don't have any option to turn it off, at least not that i can find anywhere.

well worst case 260$ is still cheaper then what i had to do with the stormblood expac, the registration code didnt come with my collectors copy so i ended up buying the digital CE as well to get the code which i think was 80$ so 280$ for stormblood lol.....

Any missed emails, check your spam folder as some SE emails tend to get sent there as I have seen in the past. I was confirmed that there was an email this morning.

Few things:

First, if you plan on overdrafting your bank account you better double check that. Some accounts at banks will not let you overdraft over a certain limit, while others may let you overdraft but penalize you harder if its over a certain amount. Probably should check to be absolutely sure.

Second, you better double check thatll work with SE. There have been occassions that Ive read people getting their accounts perma-banned because payments that were supposed to go through didnt. Now this was with Credit Cards, however, if this was a bank payment thing, that might still hurt your SE account. It doesnt hurt you to contact Customer support today and enquire about this to make sure everything is hunky dory. Cover your bases regarding handling payments of products. Just because some people mention things here doesnt mean it will for sure be that way with you. Would be pretty terrible to wake up Thursday or Friday and find out your account was banned due to payment issues, or you lost out on a pre-order cause your bank wouldnt let you overdraft that much.

If it just outright denies the purchase it won't cause any issues. The ban is primarily for chargebacks, aka friendly frauds.
