Make past promotion available for sale

I just found out that there was a Flying Cloud mount that was gave out as a promotion for Stormblood on Amazon back in 2017. As well as a cool outfit and weapon for Lancers/Dragoons. I really want them but I JUST started playing FF14. I won't mind paying for them on the MogStation if SE made them available. Here are the items I would send money on right now:

Eastern Journey Attire
Flying Cumulus mount
Eastern Journey Battle Staff

Please, make them available for sale! My money is ready for them! :o

The butler/maid set that was part of an amazon promo came in the mogstation so you can bet your pretty little drg butt that all that stuff is coming too.

I actually would love for the Flying Cumulus to be put on the Mogstation already.

I really hope we get all three of those items.

I'm really wanting to make a Qitian Dasheng glam for my DRG just because I love Journey to West so much.

we still don't even have the new promotion yet for black fat chocobo mount. i'd rather they work on that first.

I have the flying cumulus mount and it's one of my favorites; fully support adding it to the mog station.

If I remember correctly all the items mentioned so far were part of promotions made for either the Korean or Chinese versions, and were also made by teams assoiciated with those versions and not the normal dev team (not exactly versed in how it all works but I think atleast the Korean version is apparently a couple patches behind us as well?) They were done as promotions outside of those regions instead of the mog station because of this if I remember right.

I also hope they bring back the short lived magitek falcon mount promo. Due to the way it was done I was screwed out out of it with the payment options and the timing of the promo. I'd gladly buy it on mog station, as well as any bonus item that was packed in with merchandise.

Those items did make their way over here on the mogstation though. The Box Step and Side Step emotes were originally listed on the Korean mogstation(to compensate for the difference in content gap) for example and were later brought over here. You can find original twitter videos in korean dating back to when the emotes were first posted online.

The big thing about these three items is that they were sold in the US through the Amazon promotion. That's something I believe was only done with the White Fat Chocobo mount and the Maid/Butler outfits as well. I know American had one and Europe had another (through a company many people said was a pain in the ass to order from).

So we'd hope at least SE would bring us the Eastern Journey outfit if not the mount. It would be really easy money for them as well.

I wouldn't be too shocked if the mount didn't come to mog station. The Original Fat Chocobo has yet to be added even though both maid and butler gear were added.

Seems like they are fine with adding gear sets for sure...

Don't forget about the ifrit and titan masks. Those were Amazon promotions as well and that was around 3 years ago...

I want the pre-2.0 back tattoo. I couldn't play back then but can now and am willing to spend money to take away something was was special to those characters/players.

Oh yeah let's compare a tattoo for those that played a game that was a failure till it closed down and came back for when that game was re-made with an amazon promotion that excludes a bunch of new players and old players that don't live in the US and don't have an easy acess to the US-amazon. Same thing.


I hope this time they put the mount too. I mean there are several options in-game to have a fat chocobo so the fact that the maid/butler promotion chocobo did not made into mogstation is... less bad I guess. But the cloud is pretty iconic and it would be a shame if they decided to never release it on mog.

The tattoo is exactly like any mount or glamour, it's pure vanity and doesn't affect how the game is played at all. So yes it is the same thing considering the only requirement was to have made a character during the 1.x time window. @SilverObi I know, I'd rather not have access to it because when I see others who do have it, that actually means something. But if they're going to throw whatever the players are crying for on to the shop, why not cry for all "missed" exclusives? If I should be expected to suck it up over the fact that I just wasn't playing the game back then (which again, I would prefer), then so should everyone else over every other missed exclusive.

If I said I wanted it because I was a tattoo enthusiast and it would increase my enjoyment of the game while playing, would that make it any better?

After the debacle over the White Ravens, I imagine SE would try to stick to their word (lol?) of adding that all important prefix of "Imitation" to such things. And yeah someone wanting access to the legacy tattoo for more friendly reasons would be cool with me even as a legacy player, though again I imagine SE would give a variant or something to avoid the inevitable outcry. Then again I'm one of those people who says Feast rewards should cycle into a regular wolf mark shop once their season is 4-5 seasons old so I'm not a huge defender of total ironclad exclusivity.

I'm on the other end of that about the PvP mounts, while I understand that they spend time developing the models/animations and whatnot it makes seeing someone with that mount way more exciting when you know they were the best of the best during a season. Things like these, in addition to exclusive items are sort of time capsules within the game. To look back on with fond (or in certain cases not-so-fond) memories.

If they want to give these exclusive items away after their time has passed I'd much rather the slight alteration. Like make the gear sets not dye-able, or colour-swap for a mount. If it's the identical item.. it just losing all meaning IMO.

They were given the option of having their name or whatever in the credits. I haven't looked to see whether the FFX inspired items on the mog shop have bonuses but they are dyeable which the original isn't. I think the fat chocobo is available in game from the story teller in Gridania.

I would 100% buy me a cloud.

I didnt play back then in 1.0 but i really hope the tattoo given to players that played in 1.0 does NOT come to the mogstation or be made available to rest at all.

Hehe... yet another cloud mount thread. I got it back in 2017 due to a dr. pepper promotion in germany. And i really hope it'll be added soon to the mogstation as they said it would.
My #1 mount by far.

I completely agree with this about the legacy mark and Chocobo. I feel they should not have added the ravens even though I was around then I could not get a group to complete it...I missed them I would not expect to get them either, they where for those that did the fight. They added the Moonlet and that irked me a bit as it was part of leading into the Dalamud story, I felt they should not have added it. In FFXI there where lots of great items I would have loved but I was not there to get them so I missed out but I admired them for having the items and would never ask for them.

And resubscribe using the same account when the game re-released. Effectively making it a 70-120 dollar cosmetic also requiring the same character be used and not propagating to new characters made even if the same account is used.


Comparing this to something that required a 20 dollar purchase (it was basically free, it just required buying SOMETHING in the time period) off amazon is a bit of a stretch eh?

I get you understand how valuable the 1.0 tattoo is, why can't you see it's a huge disparity to compare promotional "plz buy stuff" exclusives?

They will probably do another Amazon promotion for those things again. As those partner ships give SE discounted or free advertisement on Amazon's site.

why not just ask for a new tattoo for something special like the next ultimate. seems an easier compromise than taking it from legacy players.

I don't think they're actually asking for the Tattoo, just trying to compare it to more recent exclusives as a reason to keep things exclusive. Like a "where do we draw the line" kind of deal.

I DO think it would be kinda neat to have a mark or item for being ingame from 2.0 though. ... I may be biased a little.
