Limit Break Action as "Duty Action 3" for reduced hotbar usage

Please consider creating an additional Duty Action(Duty Action 3/ Limit Break Action) that would function for the use of Limit Break.

Reasons for this additional button:
- Limit Break is an ability that all battle jobs/classes share , therefore having this ability tied to the Limit Break Bar as a Limit Break Duty Action would be convenient to save Hotbar space for all players.
- This Duty action can be tied to L2 + L3 for controller user (the same as the current duty action format)

I'm confused. You can already add the Limit Break to your hotbar as its own button. There currently is NO duty action 3 button. So... what are you asking for?

Right, but why? You can already set it as a global hotkey.

I understand what you're asking, but the issue with this is, Limit Breaks are available everywhere. While Duty Actions are specific to the instance and only available to those that make use of it.
You're essentially asking for a 1x1 Hotbar 11, not Duty Action III.

Actually I am asking for the Limit Break UI Bar to become Duty Action 3 so that you can press the Limit break UI to activate limit break manually or with L2 + L3 on a controller or as a duty action 3 button

You can do that now though. You can assign the Limit Break action to a hotbar button and push it at your leisure. It is functionally identical to clicking the limit break bar, except more keybindy and less clicky.

I don't play with a controller so maybe there are control limitations I'm not aware of that are preventing you from doing this?

This is news to me. I always just used the provided action, set to a shared hotbar, with an easily accessible key binding.

As the King mentioned, limit breaks aren't limited to duties. They're usable in open world as well. Plus, they'd hafta go back to literally every single duty and modify it for this special generic Duty Action, for a system/mechanic that doesn't really need so much tweaking or adjusting.

Because you can just set up a shared hotbar with the action and set your own key bindings for it.

You dont understand, the request is to make the UI interface Limit Break Bar become the same as "Duty Actions" so that you could press the on the UI to activate the Limit Break or with a controller L2 + L3

also dont you understand that UI elements can be turned off so not everyone like me has duty actions, or even limit break visible on their screen when they play.
so for LB to function using built in game default shortcuts, besides optional ways to place it on hotbars, will allow for freeing up space for different users on their actual hotbars

I think what people are trying to say is that a Limit Break is not a duty action because the only requirement is minimum being in a Light Party (as you can also use it outside of duties). It's possible that Duty Action is flagged to certain duties and it would be difficult to replicate for every other duty/instance. I thought about this with the Duty Gauge, why couldn't this be copied to all the older Primals during DPS/mob checks etc. Of course it's not necessary to do that but as a QoL it could be quite useful to have, no different to wait you are suggesting with the LB. Though I think it just comes down to there being certain restrictions to begin with, and LB action can be freely equipped on hotbars anyway.

How do keep track of the LB then if you do not have the bar present?

Ok but that's not a valid complaint. You took special action to remove a UI element, you can't then turn around and complain that you can't see the UI element you specifically removed. Turn it back on.

I think what you're asking for is for the limit break action to be bound to a key/button instead of on a hotbar button. If that's what you're asking for here then I do understand the reason you'd want it, but please do understand that this would be a SUPER niche use case.

For me (for instance), if I want to keybind duty actions 1 and 2, I have to put them on a keybound hotbar. This is, in fact, exactly what I've done. If there were a duty action 3, I'd have to put that on a hotbar too. This is the only way for me to keybind actions at all.

It sounds like controller players have different limitations for which buttons they're allowed to use? But I believe you also have LOTS of hotbar buttons available for use. Something like 64 button combinations? You can't possibly have used them all.

So turn them back on?

If you disabled a default UI element and are now complaining that you can't see said element, why not just turn in it back on? How on earth is that anyone else's fault or problem? Am I missing something here?

But rather than have to go through all them button combos, she could just do the duty action input.

Why the opposition to have an option like this? It's not like you'd be losing access to your previous options.

Because it's a highly specific change that would probably be a lot of work for very little benefit. Why bother?

easy the sound mine is hidden but i always know when its up by the annoying sound

yeah im not complaining, im proposing an idea to the development team to implement, and expand on existing systems, additional quality of life features or changes that function the same as some current built in systems, to add to the player experience. Whether all players utilize this feature is irrelevant, for example the color blind and deaf options exist in this game, i however do not utilize those features.

And the ps4 isn't really that limited if anything there is more space for more actions cause you can use cross-hotbar and pc hotbars too for use with controller and KB+M even something like Logitech Wireless Combo with KB+M and only one adapter dongle works

PC could probably do that too. I can't see why not, that is if anyone uses controller and KB+M for extra shortcuts! If just using KB+M no extra cross-hotbars

Just set the limit break action to a pc hotbar the same spot and keybind on every job!

They need to add how to use Limit Break to the Hall of Novice so I see so many not even using it! And Any time I'm not a DPS that can use it most don't ever use it but then when I'm a DPS someone else ends up using it!

Set your cross hot bar to do it. Mess with settings. I have exactly what you are suggesting set up for me. It’s already in the game.

Just put the LB on the W-Hotbar.

I have the LB at double tapping R2 + Circle.

The W-Hotbar is perfect for stuff like the LB, sprint, stances or a mount. Stuff you don't need to use that often, but where you still want easy access to it.
