Hatching-tide!

Hooray for decorated eggs and spriggans!

The outfit is really cute. It looks like it has a hood with spriggan ears attached to it that hang down the back! The little egg pouch thing is also a nice touch.

It's adoooooorable!

I think the highlight for me is the bottoms. There's never too many stockings and I appreciate the layered garter on top, it's something we haven't had yet.
My only hope is that it doesn't dye in the washed-out off-colour that ruins a lot of other light-coloured pieces. If the stockings dye to all, I hope they take on the main colour.

The top is unnecessarily cute. It’s the first event outfit in a long time that I might actually use instead of immediately tossing it into the armoire. I second the hope that it dyes properly.

I'm really digging the guys' outfit. Don't care much for the shoes but I've been looking forward to some stylish, job-unlocked 7/8 pants and these would do nicely. The top is also nice, can't wait to see how it dyes

The outfit is super cute! I'm actually excited to do the event for once! And I may actually fo it on my alts for the outfit like I did the Moonfire Event last year!

Give me a spriggan costume instead of chestpieces where they simply cut the lower hip part off and added ears, reskinned pants and boots that are there in a dozen.

I'm going to love looking through my armoire, seeing the icon for the bottoms, thinking "hmm, will these pants look nice with this glam?" and then seeing my character in the try-on window wearing yet another pair of short shorts and thighhighs.

And the design changes on the tops are also baffling to me. Why do boys get an unbuckled belt and hanging suspenders? Why are the egg purses on opposite sides? Why are so many little details different?

And really, we're doing "blue is for boys and pink is for girls" still?

well there are also shorts from Little Lord set (2014 year Sunrise event if I remember correct), but they are not dyable ;_;

Also, I really love how "spring bottom" shorts for females look. Want them.

I'm happy they are. Unisex outfits almost always look generic. Whenever they do make gendered models, they seem to put more care and attention into their design.

I was very pleasantly surprised by the outfit for this event! After the extremely lackluster Valentione rewards I thought it was gonna be crumbs until the expac. I guess they just shifted the resources to a new Hatching Tide outfit instead of more valentines gear.

It's a really cute set. I don't know if I'll be using the top, the Egg-Purse breaks it for me, but the short-shorts stockings combo is a great piece that I can see fitting well with several other tops. Here's hoping it dyes well. Big oof if it doesn't.

Not interested in the shoes either... unless those large cuffs get covered when wearing long/baggy pants. The actual shoe part looks like very stylish, normal looking high quality brown leather shoes that would go great with a lot of casual "Real Life" clothing sets.

Oh nice rewards this time! What other Spriggan gear do we already have? Just the hat right?

I was really confused why everyone was calling this a spriggan outfit until I hovered over the item name and looked at the artwork :p lol

Yes, but based on the artwork, it looks like it just has a hoodie w/ ears that hang down. If there is a /visor option that may help, but I'm leaning toward that not being available.

Again, the outfit is cute, and I'm totally looking forward to getting it (also nice it's an event reward not cash shop -.-), but calling it a spriggan outfit feels like a bit of a stretch :X

It's more comical, and would fit more in line with the spriggan hat that we already have in game.

Not to poo-poo on the male version, but aren't those pants pretty similar to the Sailor brais? Granted, quite a lot of gear is similar, but the pants kinda jumped out at me. Also, I'm always down for man-shorts. Let the males of Eorzea tan those legs!

Well there's the pattern, for one. And the Sailor brais are a lot more baggy. This looks sleeker, more elegant.

It is crazy adorbs! I love everything about it, even the color and I might not even dye it. I simply cannot wait to ride around on my egg mount, this outfit, and my Spriggan cap! Color me super excited for this event!

My au ra would have looked good in those thigh highs. :v But the male outfit is still really cute.

I'm super stoked for these glams! I can see pieces that I'd use to create outfits on both my male and female alts, and I'm really excited to play around with them once I get them. Especially the pants (both versions), but the top and boots both look like they could have their place in some outfits as well.

Way better than what we got for the last holiday, imo. I actually skipped Little Ladies' Day entirely this year. I realize it's a taste thing though.

These are spriggan "ears" (well the things sticking out of their heads at any rate) attached to the hood.

Lol I was thinking this too. If that's too long to be shorts then that means 'if we don't see the booty then they can't really be called shorts'!!! haha. Am male so perhaps some stereotypical size differences of course but like my shorts are annoying if they're not at least near to my kneecaps, any less and I might as well just run around in my undies.

(Just to be clear in general I'm not arguing for or against short shorts, just thought it was funny and agreed with you that those were not considered shorts).

That makes more sense haha. I'd call them pants though, since the stretchy part at the cuff of the pant still goes pretty close to the ankles but I can get behind the idea those are either very short pants or very long shorts. Haha

Only reason why I thought it was the girls outfit is because the last object they reference is the girls outfit before talking about them being shants.

They're capris pants. They they have several different names depending on here you come from, such as: high-waters, puddle-pushers, and clam-diggers.
