FFXIV - FFXV Crossover Items cost MGP?

Over on Facebook there is a thread going in which apparently someone data-farmed a vendor in which it shows the event items costing MGP.

Does anyone else have any information on this, that the event items are going to require being purchased by MGP??

Since Data Mining is not allowed it's best not to discuss it like that here until information becomes naturally available. That said it would make sense that obtaining the rewards will be via some means that's easier than the permanent / long lasting events as Yoshida said it won't be too difficult to obtain :).

I would suggest checking out the FFXIV reddit/Discord if you were curious what other people might be thinking.

Always save MGP! :D. Even if you just fail LoV, Weekly Fashion Report, and Cactpot you'll slowly accumulate a good amount - which is nice as you never know when some awesome 1 million MPG item appears lol (and you wouldn't want to start out at zero then XD).

I usually do TT participate and win in saucer and battle hall, mini games, and LoV. If I happen to get GATEs done during that... then extra bonus. Choco racing takes too long and I don't care as much about it since I got my barding already.

Oh and at least the 10k fashion report, and easy 80s if it requires MINIMAL effort on my part.

I just bought Fenrir not too long ago and now i'm poor.

I have like, 1.1 million MGP hopefully I can get everything. I’m going to prioritize the car if this is true.

Regalia mount, Noctis hairstyle, Noctis glamour set, and now it shows Noctis TT card and SIX orchestrion scrolls at the bottom.

Although is it a bit greedy that I'm sad Somnus isn't one of them?

With the fact that you only need to be level 50 as long as you're playing during the time the event is live and give an effort I'm sure this one will be totally feasible (not Yokai like event lol), especially given Yoshida's words on the matter (it wont be crazy hard).

Didn't realize discussion of data-mining was a no-no here. Having come over from ESO, they freely post data-mined information on their forums all the time.

Well then, it's a good thing I've been accumulating the Squadron +15% MGP rewards, guess I have a use for them now.

Square has a harsher stance on it than other devs for spoiler reasons, mostly. You can still easily find the information on the subreddit/4chan /vg/ thread/Discord servers, it's just that discussing it here is kind of taboo.

Man i hope the regalia isn't another 1 mil+ mgp mount, especially since i recently bought Fenrir.../sadface

I don't think it will be since this event is meant to draw FFXV fans into FFXIV, and making them have to spend months worth of MGP on one item would be a bit much. Though they might mitigate that by providing a double MGP event at the same time.

I hope it isn't MGP. I've just about saved up enough for Cactuar <_<

Huh? MGP sound kinda strange since trailer shows Garuda and some Fates.

Maybe the hairstyle/TT card after you finish the event kinda like Ivalice hairstyle.

i can see some OR and the card maybe hairstyle being mgp but i'd imagine it will be a fate/instance token exchange for the car/outfit/maybe some OR

200k mgp mount going off what the reddit page says. Very easy to make that in the 2 weeks before the event starts just on 80+ fashion score, GS challenge log etc.

Have to admit that's an impressive set of rewards. Got to give credit where it's due, Enix are doing a good job on this one. Looking forward to it.

Anyone have a link to the reddit page? MGP is not a problem. I would guess it would be 250000 but not too expensive for everything else

Did you notice they even had FFXV staff in end credits? For those complaining about the Valentines rewards maybe this is the reason why we got a drk sword and a cul knife.

I have just under 6 million MGP. I always make sure to save multi-million MGP in case a nice item shows up more expensive than normal. That car seems like a 5 million MGP on its own being the only 4 seater in game! I do hope it is unlocked via quest, though.

According to... sources it might end up costing you 200k MGP, so nothing to worry about!

Definitely a nice set of rewards...
Though now I lament no Cydney glam or hairstyle... especially her hairstyle.

Having Regalia with no customization is sadface too.

I've been playing FF14 for almost 2 months. I have over 300k MGP. So if the car is 200k I'm good.

Though it concerns me a bit if they make something extremely expensive w/o giving sufficient heads up for people to earn it in the allotted time. My charater is only 62 in one job and in the MSQs for the ARR 2.2 patch atm so I'm not able to make lots of gil from crafting or etc.

All the other holiday events had no cost to get the rewards so I wasn't expecting them to throw in a big cost. But I can see just giving away a 4 seater mount to everyone for zero cost would be asking a lot too.

I just wish they would tell you at the end of the quest where the new rewards are. I remember finishing the 24 man Ivalice Raid and they didn't tell you the Gold Saucer had new rewards. Just happened to see someone somewhere shouting about them.

If they have some sort of double GP event it shouldn't be that hard to get 200k for the mount. Even without just spend a few nights doing stuff in the gold saucer.

Noctis' hair looks like every other plain FF TYPE-0 hairstyle we got years ago. Would have preferred his end game hairstyle, facial hair (for men) and gear, along with his sword.

Still, the regalia is something to defintely look forward to though, getting that right away!

Just remember to do the weekly Fashion Report the next few weeks! Since they've nerfed its very easy and cheap 60k* MGP a week!

*can even be further buffed with MGP-bonus buffs from your FC or Squadron.

Just by using the Fashion Report as MGP-source everyone should be able to get all the event items easly!

Yeah I am a bit sad we don't get his engine blade...
