With Blue Mage, they've breathed new life into FFXIV and created an entire new way to view content and play the game. I have every job to 70, and this is the most fun I've had playing an MMO in years.
Utterly astounded.

Sitting around waiting for enemies to spawn is amazing. You can really take part in a living, breathing world.
There are people in the overworld!! LMAOSAJDFHKL!! It's like Im back in ARR. There are Tam Tara Deep croft parties!!
This is awesome. I’m having a really good time learning the spells and talking with others.
Now let us see how many replies we get from those that were against "limited job" and say how much they are enjoying themselves
I onlt managed to play for half an hour this morning and...it was nice. I'm serious. With chocobo buddy in tow, using ground mounts I haven't used in a looooong time, I liked going to the bat cave and learning blood fang. Then ran up to those goblins and learning bomb toss. I almost called in sick today just to play blu all day.
Why Eureka wasn't this much fun?
Mother of strawman, Batman. Most people who were against Limited Jobs were never against what we were getting, but against the Limited part of it, about all the restrictions. I reckon I'd enjoy it quite a bit once I get home and unlock it. I also imagine it will soon find itself on the shelf, collecting dust once I'm done with it.
Yeah, people have been asking for new gameplay content for a long time, and although this may not be a new formula to dungeons and trials, it's a good step in the right direction.
I just logged off after playing BLU with 3 other friends and we had a blast. Learning spells was pretty fun, some spells are kinda OP, and right before we all had to log out, we did a 4 man BLU Tam Tara to see if we could learn Mind Blast. We were able to go through the entire dungeon with very little trouble.
Sadly, RNG was not on our side and we didn't learn it..
Though... I see this every time there's a new content patch; "I'm gonna take my vacation days to play the new patch all day!" and "I'm gonna call in sick as I care more for video games than work ethics to play the new patch all day!" And then the forums are flooded with threads about how people can't play because the servers are congested because everyone thought the same thing. :p And by the time I get hom from work, the servers are no longer congested. No point in skipping work on patch days, better just be patient and enjoy being able to log in when we get home.
Actually enjoying it. I thought I'd be bored but am not.
It's not so much the job or the new content it's how it's limited in so many ways that everyone wishes it was an actual job and not some gimmick which it is a gimmick but a fun one. My issue was and always will be when I finally get to the carnival and I've done everything that the job can ask for it's going to leave me not wanting more but where's the rest of it? And it's been answered where the level cap and us getting new spells will come later, yes it's fun to pick up and play with friends and learn all the new spells but after that wears off its limitations will come through.
I love getting all the abilities and the leveling surprisingly isn't bad at all and it's the first time I've actually been running around the world but that's it, I love getting all these new spells and figuring out where they were based off my memory of the monsters using their abilities. People aren't against the idea of BLU, they're against the idea that BLU will be what it is and won't expand, who knows maybe this is a test run and we'll get the full thing later down the road, with all this being said I still want BLU to be a fully playable job instead of being side content where the fun is gone after you get it all so fast before it even took off.
So why its not part of the rest of the game, the same as it now.
Everyone? Glad you speak for everyone. Sorry but you're not even in the majority on this one I would suspect. Speak for yourself please.
Large majority? Please share your related poll/documentation for this. Gets really old coming here and listening to the vocal minority think the game revolves around them.

Just to name a few but the community has been vocal about it just as such there are people who enjoy it and they should I wasn't speaking for everyone but a large majority and these are only a few threads of the giant debate that's been going on for weeks now, you must be living under a rock if you missed it.
Considering how hoted are the debate in both reddit and the forums and the actual number of people posting on those, you'd be a little more informed to not call you part of a "large majority". Every debate is between two vocal minorities because the majority don't speak.
Especially since people saying they want BLU as a regular job don't know what they'd have to sacrifice for that. They say things like "It's easy to have both" without any actual evidence on how the job would have to be implemented, or would be received, used and dealt with in real situations.
And, they'd still probably complain that we don't have any new type of content to sink some of our time...
Polls are always extrapolated from a smaller community and this is the largest data set we have:

https://www.strawpoll.me/16866229/r
(~6k)
Also 100+ votes on the forum tends to be a pretty good number size (some of those threads).
The poll really needed a third choice imo of "would you like to see both?" but seeing as people were stuck between two options there is clearly some people who want something. Personal really do not want learning mechanic removed, but want to see it raid as well (obviously in DF changes need to be made for balance, but leave limited side alone).
A good number for this community -_- (numbers don't get much larger than that very often). Please don't be facetious.
Besides I also linked a poll with nearly 6K votes (which was quite divided, and needed more options but still a large number lol), I was merely stating that on the forums 100+ is a pretty large number (forums don't get much attention).
You can infer from the 6K, with some error. 100+ is not the best but as I said you were very rude for what I said. "This is the largest data set we have" I didn't say "get knowledge punk:" or something. You could have said you're not comfortable with 6K (which could actually give us info on the population). I understand 100+ not being up to standards (hilarious in size comparison to actual population) but serious why attack me so especially when I lead with a value that might tell us something ;/.
100 people polled all from the same small town are not going to be representative of an entire country. They'll probably be a pretty good representation of that town.
SE has posted themselves that less than 3% of players regularly post in the forums, and something like over 60% have never stepped foot here. So even if you had 100% unanimous support for something on the forum, it would still be an absolutely minuscule portion of players, and therefore not remotely representative of the player base.
Blue Mage has Flying Sardine.
I can throw fishes at 10 potency.
Best class ever.
