This seems like something that makes the most sense out of any possible collaboration.
Both games represent the nostalgia of multiple games from the series while still strongly representing their own stories. Both games are huge money makers for the series so the fan base has to be there. FFBE already had raids with FFXIV primals and the Scions as units to use. It would seem like genius cross promotion for both games and a no brainer to actually bring it over to FFXIV.
Contextually they can do whatever for the actual quest, but if they want to actually bring over specifics they could just have some NPC talk about finding some strange crystal somewhere and seeing someone appear wearing an "odd looking uniform" that doesn't match any of the city states that we have to investigate. They could then say they think they might be Garlean to provide a risk and reasoning for us to check it out.
After we find the crystal, we then come across the person who it turns out to be Rain and he is looking for his friends (Lasswell and Fina). We then go around other places fighting some battles or whatever to rescue Fina or possibly fight Lasswell as a misunderstanding situation. Then we all join up with a happy reunion and it is then revealed that they are just "Visions" from the crystal.
For event items, glamour sets of Rain, Lasswell, Fina + chibi minions of them. I would say weapons but they are too specific and people would feel left out if they only did the 3 of them.
There are a lot of other FFBE story characters glamour that could be brought over if they even made it a yearly event. And it would even open the possibility of including the weapons since most of the jobs could be covered by that point.
- Lid, Nichol, Jake, Sakura
- Dark Fina, Raegan, Sol, Akstar, Charlotte if needed
- The Veritas glamour would be epic.
- Sworn Six season 2.
Unlike the other main line games, FFBE is ongoing as well, why not fully support the obvious advantage of cross promotion for something that actually makes sense and is still hugely successful in it's own right and helping the company hand in hand.
I honestly thought the Lightning event and even the Shantotto event were more of the type of things we could look forward to but that all seemed to die out pretty quickly. Even the Iroha event was back in 2015. I don't understand why they don't embrace the actual series more.

I would support a crossover between FFBE and XIV. If I recall, of all the FF mobile games, Brave Exvius is the top grossing RPG at the moment. Not to mention, they've just recently wrapped up their second fan festa. I've never heard of a mobile game having a fan festival, so it's pretty amazing to my eyes. Plus...a lot of the units there are just awesome
(Hint, hint, XIV devs, you could get glamour ideas from the amazing units there too. Just saying.) -

There's plenty more characters to use if they continued to support the collaboration each year, even going into season 2 designs once the other main characters are covered.
It is currently #37 in top grossing on the Play store. Why not try to generate more interest in an IP that is already making a killing for you? -

There's been hints and mentions of an XV collab (which was a super disappointing game but I'll happily take hairstyles, weapons, and outfits from it), there could be a KH collab... in my wildest dreams maybe a Xenogears collab... so many possibilites without resorting to a phone game of all things.Quote:

The character summon rates were atrocious, we’re talking 1% chance for rare characters, made even worse by the fact that as the summon pool gets bigger, the chance of getting the unit you want gets smaller, on top of the fact they locked some of the best equipment and abilities behind summoning TWENTY copies of a unit or grinding it out at an abysmal CHANCE to get 0.1% progress per dungeon run.
And the amount of the lapis (paid currency) you get from the game is pathetic.
Record keeper made it so for 50 mythril (essentially their version of the paid currency) you got an 11x summon (later changing it so that the 11th was guaranteed to be a rare summon) you got 1 mythril per dungeon and 1 mythril a day for logging in, maybe more if there was an event on.
Exvius made it 5000 lapis for a summon but you’d get 100 for completing a dungeon and all the missions. So basically the same as record keeper right?... wrong.
For daily logins they’d give maybe 50 lapis (equivalent of 0.5 mythril), if they gave any at all. Completing arena challenges, 20 lapis(0.2 mythril). Basically they made the numbers bigger so there were ways they could give you less of it.
And of course, since the best gear and abilities were locked behind the summon, you couldn’t beat the higher level events to get more unless you paid to get the best stuff.
And I played for a while, cause I know that these mobile games tend to be like this when they launch, but then ease off once the investors are paid off and happy (this happened with mobius). But things just kept getting worse and worse.
They increased the summon rate for rare characters to a whopping TWO PERCENT! Wow! That totally compares to record keeper making it a 100% chance...
Then they released more story characters but they weren’t strong enough to be viable even to play the story mode so you had to start using summon characters, if you had any... But wait! They released a season 2 version of the characters that were viable.... oh, they’re also in the summon? That’s right, story characters in the summon.... 2% chance... to get STORY CHARACTERS!
I eventually drew the line when they released a new rarity level only obtainable by getting ANOTHER COPY of the character along with a new level of equipment that meant you needed to get even more of the same character, meaning you needed to draw the 2% chance character and get the right character if you get that 2%, over 22 times to get everything for that character.
To me, exvius is the greatest example of how these kinds of micro-transaction mechanics can ruin a good game. And it is a good game, the main characters are cool, the story is alright, it’s even pretty fun and you can see they put a lot of work into it. But they just went so overboard with the micro-transactions and they just keep piling it on and making it so integral to the gameplay, I just couldn’t put up with it anymore. -

You're bringing up something that a huge chunk of us active players have been aware of for a long while. We are very aware that Gumi has predatory practices. Despite your rather interesting, long post, it essentially boils down to why you dislike brave exvius and why you don't play it.
I don't see what that has to do with being given glamour options and hairstyles in a crossover collab between the two. Let's be honest, a majority of the expansions options have been uninspired at best. Regardless of Gumi being incredibly greedy, the glamour options and hairstyles we could get from there would still be nice to have, especially since it seems they whomever are designing gear seem to be overworked and out of inspiration. -

Based on the fact that XV came out incompleted, and we will never see the fruition of its fully finished product because of the slummy practices of separating some of the other core pieces of the full product into DLC, I shouldn't want to see a collab between XIV and XV. But we did and it turned out to be fine. Again, a huge portion of us active players in the community have been very aware and extremely vocal in our displeasure in certain practices (to the point that GUMI did eventually cave in enough to calm down). But at the end of the day, that is the nature of the gacha genre. It was much worse in the JP version of the game, so keep that in mind.Quote:

Meanwhile FFBE is an ongoing thing like I said, so it would always be relevant at least for a few more years.

There are plenty of people who do budget guides and someone is even doing trials using only Medius as the units which is a rather bad unit compared to what anyone else would use for a party.
So I'll just say a lot of what you are talking about I would strongly disagree with. -

The fan festa when they brought Kate Perry in was incredibly nice and they are giving us so many rewards right now - the equivalent of three guaranteed 5 star summons and about 30 free summons within a week...that is extremely generous for this company.Quote:
