Receiving this error when I try and run the launcher. Not sure if it's just due to the maintenance or not.

If this just started happening this morning, then it is because the game is down for maintenance. If it has been occurring before now, could be that you are missing important files in your game folder. But, more than likely, it’s because the game is down for maintenance for the next 24 hours.

Maintanence this time around is 24 hours. So you probably won't be able to download the patch early quite yet. -

Damn it...
I uninstalled the whole thing in an attempt to fix it. I knew the patch was coming in today so I thought that might be the reason why it stopped working.
So do the subscription days get refunded during such times or does it keep counting down? -

The patch will be available for download sooner, though, so your error message should resolve when it becomes available (when that is varies). The forums use Japan's time zone I believe, so the time of the post isn't exactly accurate to where you are on the east coast. Maintenance should end for you at 6AM 5/22.

I am having this issue as well and uninstalled. I hope its fixed after patch. It was happening for me 2 hours before maintenance started though.

Its the first time they did shut down the update server (or did close the firewall to it), so I can understand the reactions.
In every earlier patch you got at least into the launcher, which showed the maintenance message to you.
On top of that the error message is ... to just pop this error message without an understandable plaintext description is a bad design choice. -

Oh just came to post about this. Was thinking about playing a bit before the servers goes down didn't realize it was a 24 hour downtime. Well at least I know now! Guess i'll try again tomorrow after work.
