I am sorry, Eureka is super easy, yes....SUPER EASY

The JP community had just figured out the NMs spawn method: kill xxx enimies for yyy amount (100?)
we killed 6-7 NMs in a row, all NMs were zergfest..... then I got these, that's 200-300 crystals in 2 hours...:

There seems not much content in Eureka other than NM (zergfest S rank)

Again, the new content is getting old very fast, sigh

I don't think anyone said it was difficult. Just annoyingly stretched out. I think the words you're looking for here are : Short lived.
Now they've figured it out, there will be parties that zerg it for a week and then done. 21-24 hours total playtime and fully upgraded. OH well.

Easy? Yes. But mob grinding for hours upon hours with seemingly little gain makes me want to gouge my eyes out. So...the easy aspect of it is heavily offset by how mind numbingly boring it is.

You summed it up well just from this part of the post. Nothing to do but that. That's a bit of a problem and why so many aren't too happy.

Here's the actual problem with the way this works, especially like that.... people will spend 1 week or so grinding their brains out to get their gear, during which the zone will be bustling. Once people get their gear they will move on and Eureka will become a dead zone where... "Oh, you wanted to spawn and kill NMs? Sorry, your instance only has 20 people in it and they're all doing their own thing. Good luck!" And no one gets Eureka gear again. The zone needed to be a place where SOLO grinding was viable. Having to kill NMs like this to get so many crystals is not feasible for an extended period of time.

The good things is , I met a new JP friend in Eureka, we added each other to friend list (but we are in different world...)
and I've played with some nice NA guys.
It's almost impossible to make new friends in DF.

The current contents, difficulty & balance in XIV are twisted freaks...
damn, just bring back the XIV 1.2x or XI developer team pls ...

Yeah... it's not hard just coma inducing. You do one thing the entire time: kill mobs. Needs some variety of activities badly.

This isn't a difficult concept but some seem to be having trouble understanding it.
Nobody is asking for the grind to be made easier, we're asking for it to be made less monotonous. There's a very important and apparently misunderstood distinction there.

Killing endless swarms of trash mobs is super easy? Who would have thought.

It's also super boring.

Yeah I just saw this tonight.

What you do is instead of have everyone scatter around just exping on their own mobs, you get a huge number of players to mass kill the pop mobs for NM fates. So there's no real risk because there's 50+ people their nuking everything at once, and it dies ridiculously fast. You get little exp, but its incredibly safe because you just keep following the herd, and they can nuke down any adds easily.

Kill the boss (who gives a lot of exp), then move to the next farm. The Fates in general give so much rewards that they dominate gameplay. There's no real counterbalance to it.

So it's even more tedious because there's mostly one effective strat. No mechanics really to prevent the zerg, while a lot more exist to defeat solo and small party play.

but if you zerg the NMs, you will get 200-300crystals in just 2hours,

They're not really wrong. It's easier if you join a group because you can chain kill mobs. As your chain goes higher the drop rate increases. A group can do that ALOT faster. You also have a better chance of getting gold on NMs while in a group. That said, I have no issue with this part of Eureka specifically.

Complaining about not getting rewards while being low level and playing in the most unproductive way possible, while saying that making people play in group in a MMORPG is "broken design".

Maybe it's not the design that is broken, but some people.

I find it funny how people said that the true way to play Eureka is to spread out and each group should kill their own monsters thus no zerging. Yet right now the best way to play this (and probably the most efficient way) is to zerg the same monsters with everyone (eventhough you wont get much exp that way) to zerg down the NM...well yes we get more NM and thus faster crystals but that does not change the fact for me that its still boring as hell..zerging down these things is not fun...so hopefully all those NM spawns just mean that I will get my T-Rex faster and thus can ignore this content faster..

(And lets not ignore that you probably need to be lvl20 to even be able to finish the relic and on top of that you seemingly need special items from the last NM too..so maybe the crystal are faster than we thought..but who knows how long people will be stuck on the last weapon step)

Also do we really need separate threads for all of this?

When you have a competent zone with communication, you can spawn NMs like every 15 minutes, and cap you weekly tomes in a few hours.

I already have a full set of +1 gear, and I'm only lvl 10. It's getting easier as I level as well.

So we needed a whole new zone so that people can zerg down hunt like monsters on mass? With nothing else to it?

World content is zerged? Color me surprised

The zergfest is the problem here. Eureka was supposed to be some sort of abyssea like FFXI content and what was provided is something almost like the open world hunts (that are terrible already because they re zergfest).

No one said it was hard...

This post is like bragging about keeping your balance on a tricycle. Super easy indeed.

The NMs aren't "hard" in the sense that they're unlikely to cause a total wipe, but they still tend to rack up an amusingly high head count compared to S rank hunts (Though that's often due to adds being dragged into the fray...).

60+ people kill all the things. 30+ people or more just afk till nm spawns. Only the group that tags the most mobs gets little to no exp till nm spawns. When if you go out and kill things to chain 30 and go to spawns when they happen you get more exp...

Or a new team maybe? All of the seasonal events have also been lackluster.

You stayed in there over 2 hours.

I kind of grew to like it doing it with my FC mates, I died a WHOLE LOT lol and ended up being the rez-bot basically for every NM. Reminded me of old times.
