(Request) About Mog Station Clothing Items.
I've bought a few Mog Station items over the past few months that came from events that I missed while I was away from the game for a couple years. I'm curious to know if there is any way to re-obtain these clothing items you have purchased if you by accident discard or destroy them in some way?
I haven't discarded anything myself, I'm just curious because many of my old event clothing items are able to be re-purchased from the Recompense Officer or Calamity Salvager. However, the event items that I purchase via the Mog Station do not show up in either of these NPC lists.
The new Glamour Dresser system also has got me a little excited to be able to glamour 1 set of gear multiple times. For example, I currently use the system so that my Lv70 RDM AF can be applied along with the glamour items that I use for BLM. However, I only did this because I knew that the items I was destroying were able to be re-obtained somewhere in-game.
Unless I've missed something, please inform me If I have; My question(s):
Why do we not have a back-up NPC that will resell us our Mog Station purchases for Gil?
Or perhaps, a feature of the Mog Station that we can get our already purchased items delivered to the same character again?
These questions are borne of the slight disappointment of the new Glamour Dresser not allowing Mog Station items to be destroyed and that the Armoire erases the dye you would like to use if that was your other option to attempt to use them with the Glamour Dresser.
So I guess I'm requesting that those two questions I have put forth above become a reality in some form.
These don't even qualify as 'problems'

I kinda expect it to be difficult to have an NPC track down Mog Station purchases...
This kind of thinking irritates me because it comes from devs generally (not SQX specifically). It's like when apparently (I might be misremembering) Yoshi's dev team apparently told him it was too hard to introduce indicators (ticks) for items already registered (?), and the moder's didn't even pause to bother to ask anyone to hold their coffee "...job done.".
These days you will be hard pushed to buy a pocket calculator with less computer-science capability (hardware and software techniques) than was used to get humans to the moon and back in 1979 1969.
None of these matters even qualify as 'problems'. It's a question of priority or can-we-be-bothered. Priority and resources are not insignificant of course. (Do you want content, QoL improvements, extra bugs, or to pay more money, because those are your choices.)
But "difficult" as in it's just hard to do even if you want to, is not true.
I swear I'm gonna start chat ban-listing people who continue utter the phrase "spaghetti code" every-time anyone suggests 'any' thing might be done. Especially for things like UI 'info' problems. (How these people's world view doesn't cause them serious trauma when a whole new expansion comes out mystifies me.)
You don't have to have live session data to facilitate this info. You can have some data/register that is only retrieved when you visit the salvager type NPC, and when you visit Mogmail to collect your attachment. There is even a special tab for store items, you don't have to consider the work more than some minimum.
The biggest challenge is backdating these affairs. Well the answer there is you don't.
You can just say 'speak to the NPC. with the item in your inventory armory/equipped/added' and it will be checked-in for you.
If you've lost it, log a low priority ticket giving SQX the transaction ID (We will check all your chars game data to see your not double claiming, and to check the transaction belongs to your account).
There will be problem's I've not overcome. But I'm not that bright. If there is harder problem, well thankfully its clear that SQX would only have to swing a gerbil blindfolded at one of their conventions to hit 10 of their devs capable of overcoming the problem.
I am literally not buying store items in the current sale because of this. I have limited glam space, and I can't bear the thought of disposing of something I've paid for.
I'm quietly fantasizing that this is uncle Yoshi's benevolent strategy for discouraging us from going crazy trying to buy up 'everything' in the store and sendig families to the foodbank. Which I have to say would be an overriding reason. It's the only thing keeping me on the fence about this though.
