Power up Emote in FFXIV

So they released this emote in Mog Station. It's called /powerup.

I guess someone in SE is obsessed with Super Saiyans in dragonball.

Is this legit? Does the hair change colour also?

Just checked, it's Legit Lol. No hair change, but damn its awesome.

No yellow spiky hair sadly.

I'm more surprised they're able to get away with this. I'm willing to bet this is recognizable to MORE people than Dumbo. "We can't have the elephant fly with his ears, but lets have people scream and float in the air and have this giant aura around them! There's NO WAY people will know where it's from!"

Can you tell I'm salty about this (to me) waste of perfectly good resources? Hell, they could've given another dance or something that's NOT stolen from at least 1 other work...

This. It's a move that's been used in basically every other shonen series after DBZ, and quite likely in several prior. It's like saying they can't use the plot where the hero keeps getting stronger to beat stronger enemies because DBZ did it first...

I just wish it was longer, more aura and/or at least persistent.

Can... Can we have an "Aura" like mount too? Like flying by ourselves in that effect that surrounds us before setting foot on terrain again? I would buy them both!

I feel like, someone playing an Au Ra male with a certain hairstyle dyed yellow/blonde is going to pick up this emote and feel like they're being clever...

Also it kind of is in house if you really want to stick with the whole it came from DBZ. Since the same main animator for DBZ also worked on the Dragon Quest games. Which as we all know is owned by SE. Not getting this myself but I can see cloud mount owners buying this to see if it works while on a mount.

I tested the /powerup emote as DRK right before I pulled Kefka in O8N. Led to 0% DPS increase but 1000% increase in edgy coolness.

Would be great idea to copy other games/animes ideas. I'm still waiting for the two crossbow job on this game. Since that archers/machinits already have it on LB. With the exception of the Dragoon the other class/job designs for final fantasy games don't look interesting for me. Just remember that every RPG is a copy of Tolkien ideas, so I see no problem there.

I bought it and have everything leveled to at least 60. Worth my $7

Things I would buy if there was an account level purchase option available... at $7 per I might get it during a sale on a lark but not at single character full price.

Another $7.00 emote. I'm just glad we have /facepalm available in game because it applies to mogstation additions like this every time. And it's free to use.
