Oh well, I wasn't asleep anyway since some drug addicts just tried to kick in my neighbor's door because "she owed them". They had the wrong house, called the police because someone stole their drugs, and they brought their 4 year old with them. I suppose, in the end, not getting a house in-game isn't as bad as it could be!

I really is annoying. I've never really had the means to purchase a personal house before and how I finally do, but I'm locked behind this crap. Sure...I get the chance to give FC's the chance to get theirs, but do they really need this long?

I agree. I'm in the same position you are. I FINALLY have the money to purchase the plot and found the exact one I've been waiting on. This is complete BS that they give the FC's this long to purchase a plot. If they haven't done it by now, they aren't going to. They need to open it up for the people that don't have a house and want to get one.

This is the first time they've done this so it looks like they are just gauging to see how long FCs stop buying houses for future reference. They do tend to hold things up for longer then normal so I can see how this can be frustrating (see auto demo because of natural disasters lasting far too long). Hopefully in the future they see that a week for FCs is plenty of time and adjust accordingly.

It'll be open when everything has been picked over and the fake FCs have had a choice, become bored with it and we can buy smalls on the flipping market (which SE will do nothing about incidentally, still don't after the patch) to live in the ugliest corners of their ghost town wards. SE love insulting us huh, I didn't realise that I was paying less for the game than people in FCs! I guess we learn something every day!

I mean, y'all really should just spend like 7~10 hours creating and ranking up an FC for personal use. You have 8 LSes for social interactions, and there's nothing an individual house can do that an FC can't also do - plus more!

This is clearly what Square wants. So, do it. Do it! Doitdoitdoitdoitdoit.

when the SE will give us some information about? we deserved consideration of being informed when plot (personal) will come back for sale.

The worrying thing is the effect it's having on the market as a whole that people can't buy houses. They're obviously keeping the money to buy a house so aren't spending on anything else till they get th house and furnishings etc. So we now have a market saturated and crashing. Good if you want to buy expensive items cheaply but if you're selling it means holding firm and hoping demand will reach you near the bottom of the my when it opens or joining the crash party. Not sure what it's like on other worlds but on mine there are housing items and minions selling for 90% their normal sales value with very few sales since 4.2 when I'm guessing the saving mentality kicked in.

Same here. The value just got really down in most of the crafting/gathering things. I used to sell some table top foods in 70K, and now its almost 20K, and going down. All the economy is broking.

If I didn't already have a house and this was a primary focus, I would be gone with the wind. Enabling behaviors doesn't extinguish them. Plenty of quality MMOs out there with housing and everything you have here. It's difficult for people that are vested in time and relationships, comfort in game, etc., to move on but sometimes it's the best recourse. Just one player's opinion *shrug*.

Actually it's not, originally housing was only for FC's and it then was later opened up for personal use and I believe they never had the intention on opening it up but so many people complained they gave in and allowed it, although i'm uncertain if this was just rumor or actual.

Really wish people would stop complaining about not being able to get a house, stop stressing the small things in life and just enjoy the game without a house until such time they open it back up.

Maybe but the relocation on individuals was not a correct thing to do unless current houseless individuals get a whole ward for themselves afterward while everyone else (current houses owners & FC) are getting a lock to follow the unfairness of what every houseless individual is going throught atm with moratorium. + what is telling you MeanKty isnt a girl?

It was a known fact like 1 week or so before 4.2 while new wards and therefore hope for a personal home was a known fact since years before. {Personal Housing was introduced in patch 2.38 |(about 3 years ago)}

They just need to communicate but they aren't. That is why the customers are getting upset.
They have a problem and there is no good way to fix it.
Fc housing should have been clearly labeled as how long it would last.
They need to bite the bullet and retroactively apply the new rules to all wards if you currently have more then one, 1st one you enter you get to keep.

Also fc should have been required to be older then 30 days before 4.2 dropped
Moving forward on housing a fc should be required to be 90 days old with at last 4 members logging in within the last 30 days.

Here are some option
1. Housing fc only and all personal housing lost. (lots would hate this but it would be fair)
2. Housing mins
Large house fc 24 members min must have logged in the last 30 days
Medium house fc 8 member min ^
Small house fc 4 member min ^
Small only personal
3.Add a min of 3 wards pre patch till the player base is content,
4.Put housing behind a paywall $1/30day instances housing large. With double outside storage. Zoned from current housing areas.
I would gladly have a home in a 1/2 empty ward if it meant I could have one. Knowing that at a later time I could move to a full one. Or even forced to to free up server space for something.

1) Taking all personal housing from people who currently own them is not objectively fair in the slightest and just sounds vindictive just because you didn't get anything. I'd be the first to say if SE stripped people who own houses currently, that will permanently drop subs faster than people whining about cancelling their subs because they can't get one and those same people never cancelling.

2) The minimums per housing size is arbitrary. I definitely agree with SE wanting a min of 4 people for an FC to buy a house since you need 4 to start an FC to begin with.

3) While not impossible per se, you are not taking into account the sheer cost of implementation of all that. Its not simply slapping in more servers and hard drives contrary to what most people believe. You have to take into account the architecture of a data center and everything from soup to nuts.

4) No thanks. We already have a cash shop for cosmetic items, I don't want legit features locked behind a pay wall.

Get off your high horse. This is exactly the type of destructive mindset caused devs or community managers rarely respond on English forums. Make all house owners lost their properties? Why would you have to punish everyone just simply because you do not have a house? I always thought North America is a land of free but yet why I keep seeing these communism/socialism mindset?

No i do not think that taking ppl houses away would be fair but at the same time if its needed to make it fair for everyone else then it should be done if thats the main issue, secondly, be the first to say that doing that would drop subs, i beg to differ opinion, allowing to retain one house no matter what doesnt crash the rest of the game content. Someone said into another post that they already paying extra dollars for a different character so they could have more than one house, & they would be willing to pay a monthly fee for another one... you are not grasping the concept that this is greed versus a single plot wanted for everyone with adjustable size not just leftovers for a relocation later. FC only is bs. & as far as the cost of implementation, i dont believe any excuse made up upon that & yes i myself think that slapping in some servers & hard drives properly would unclog enough & architecture can be modified, forget your kupo nuts & your soup...

I disagree completely people that own multiple homes and especially people that own WHOLE WARDS to themselves should be stripped of those homes the rule should be one home per account like they are trying to do and if anyone is caught owning multiple houses should be stripped of all homes they have as punishment with NO COMPENSATION. They honestly need to go hard on these people that abuse the loopholes so blatantly also this includes people that are making FCs with 4 people and then after getting the house they just kick everyone from the fc....
