If you wanted a house for fc there has been ample time to get one, so when can individuals buy?

They likely haven't decided yet.
Most likely the situation will be reviewed on a weekly basis, just like with congested/preferred servers. If that is the case, Tuesday is the earliest I would expect a change.

No. The week notice was from patch day to when the wards open. Private purchases are still TBD. Tuesday does seem reasonable at this point though.

Either next week or somewhere close to patch 4.25.

what is the point of waiting? The FC already had their dips what now? The Housing market can't get better since their is no market for them! They said they'd monitor the situation but what is their to monitor? Empty lots? Waiting is just pissing off the players who's dream homes are a purchase away

There might be folks who only log in to the game on weekends.
Plus SE would probably wait a few days before compiling the statistics and have a meeting about it.

That is what I'm getting at, anything after the 1st price drop was enough time. I know some lots filled after that but 95 of new houses and moves where done in that 8 hour window. It's going to be another servers offline everyone rush stupid when they open it up to non fc.

So you're assuming the devs are in game 24/7 literally monitoring all wards to determine when FCs have had their fill?

Of course it is. Do you expect them to just randomly turn it on in the middle of the day or something without any notice? They'll change things with maintenance and set a designated time so everyone knows when to be prepared.

Given that I've already seen a few more plots go up for FC's in the past day I'd say the week long wait was beneficial. I'm alright with waiting.

Well there is dussins of houses left. I looked just in LB on my server yesterday, we still have 6 larges left and 30 or mediums and a shitload of smalls.

If there is one thing you can expect from SE and Yoshida in particular, it's to not communicate with its audience. And if you are ever able to ask a question directly, expect a dodge not an answer.

My FC has no neighbors it is super quiet in mist subdivisions lol

Perhaps with the mess and rush for houses that always happens they should not even say once they open up for personal houses again, lol
I too the other night seen some houses available (was shocked actually) and that lot was saying buy me :(

Honestly, if the apartments get some needed love...
Like true gardening and upgradeable sizes for those who want larger...


Then I wouldn't mind if these FC restrictions were left indefinitely.

Communication is not SE's strong suit. They could avoid a lot of issues if they ever articulated a long term housing vision. Stuff like big apartments/condos with outdoor areas and such. But they don't want to say anything, ever, so it all appears to be last minute knee jerk reactions and nobody has any idea of what to expect.

Judging from the history of XI and XIV, expect major disappointment, and the community lashing out at you for daring to mention your troubles about it.

Yeah seems like 4.1 they let individuals run amok and fuck FC's. So now in 4.2 they let FC's run amok and fuck over Individual players. Makes sense. Maybe in 5.0 we'll have a proper system in place. Doubt it though.

You're making the assumption that every FC that wanted a house was able to get it that very day. Truth is there are those who might not be able to log on til Saturday to see if they can still get a house. This is why the wait period is at least a week. Offering a week late gives every FC a fair shot at getting a house. If they did a 1 day rush followed by Personal, it would be unfair to the FC that were just incapable of getting time off to get a house on the day of release.

If you have a fc with a min of 4 people and wanted a house there is no reason in 48 hours you wouldn't be able to take 5 mins to log on and get one.

Waiting 7 days is just another failure on SE part to communicate with the community, they could have clearly said. 1 week min before we unlock personal housing, but they haven't. There has been only one dev post in English this past week, it was about ui. Where SE know this is a housing patch for many people, that what a lot of player currently only care about.

And they are going to miss the boat again and get back lash on other media when it goes live and there still isn't housing to meet the demand.

That's if your server was lucky enough not to have already enough FC's not to fill all the already available houses lol. We've had an insurge of 4 people FC's over the past few weeks just for this moment.

I had thought that they had said they were going to see how it went and then deicde from there....
Which would preclude any announcements of when changes would take place, as they hadn't had a chance to observe the effects yet...

It's highly unlikely there is anyone who works so much they can't log in for a few minutes and buy a house within a few days of the patch. If the leader can't do it, at the very least someone in the chain of command can. If you literally don't have the time to secure a house for the FC how do they properly run the guild?

This window is just giving more people time to make and level up small FCs to game the system.

I don't know if they can unlock things on a server by server basis, but they need to open it up for individuals on my server. Not one division in the new Mist wards is even half full. My subdivision only has five owned plots. There were still 36 medium houses left last I checked. I didn't even count the small ones.

Most divisions have the three large houses bought, and then a few random plots.

On Balmung as well Im standing at a plot just waiting I have my gil in hand ready to be spent and I know Ill have work on the day the personal houses are unlocked and I wont even have a chance at one or at least a cheap one. I know smaller servers still have spots filling for FCs but the rush on Balmung is basically over I think because the majority of ppl on Balmung want a personal house so for now I just wait and hope that the plot im camping isnt taken when personal housing is available again.

Plus the whole thing where they schedule major maintenance at the same time of the week every time. Since you can't expect them to just turn it on with no warning, and giving players advance notice will help keep things fair(ish), there's no chance it was ever going to open up before next Tuesday morning.

That's being discussed in another thread.

The eventual, maybe, possibly true explanation is that Entropy's raider FC had recently affiliated themselves with another FC that farms workshops, and utterly failed at dealing with the backlash that resulted from mass relocations/new plots after the new wards were added. Because the leader on Twitter decided trolling angry players at the apparent exploit instead of just saying that.

I think one week is a good time period for FCs to get their housing... what's nice tho is because private home owners can relocate alot of plots are opening in old wards... I managed to move my fc house right next to my personal house... but there are so many open plots still that it should be open for personal housing next week

When I hear personal housing is coming back up... I am going to call in "Sick".
