FFxiv Unique Limit Break for each Class PVP,PVE

Unique LB animation and Effect for Each Class

its time for each class to have their own limit breaks
in PVP and PVE im bored of doing the same energy braver (Clouds move)
with each class. when we reach Slot 1 and Slot 2 we should have our own Unique
LB to our respective Class.

Pvp especially since we are given only slot 1 let us do our respective classes LB

Effects of New LB

DPS - New LB that does dmage and diff effects to enemy units

Tank- New LB that allows them to Atk units and Defend themselves

Healers - New LB that allows them to Heal MP,TP,HP of Team mates or self Revive

The Red Mage.....steals the black mages limit break...at best.
The Summoner....also steals the black mages limit break...

now someone argued that the LB3 is different? I have yet to really see a different or confirm/deny. #EDIT - confirmed - but only at LB3...sad#

That said.

I think each job class SHOULD have a unique limit break pertaining to their job....after all..its what makes them so unique.

Sure...same damage..whatever....but i'd expect a red mage limit break to be some fantastic AoE sword play....Summoner...call forth Bahamut or something....or a random primal....to that effect.

Spitballing....but beyond that..that's my "5 cents"

LB 3's were already changed, and I think they did a really great job. I guess it'd be kinda nice for 1/2 to be changed as well, but I don't personally think its very necessary or worth the dev time.

I would love to have 2 LBs per job, 1 offensive 1 defensive.

As healer It's so frustrating when i ask to the dps to use the LB once, twice, third times..and still no reaction....

Can confirm that every LB3 is visually different for each job even though they all have the same effect for each extended role. This page here can give you more info and some fancy pics for proof.

As for the OP request, just like Kaplan said, there are more important things the art team can be doing right now.

People really didn't know that the LB3s are all visually unique?

Yeah, and that's for upkeep on the servers and to pay for patch development. Not to make every forum goers wish true.

All lb3 are unique. I think the job gauges give players their own unique lb. However I am hoping to see some moves added in 5.0 to make better use of the gauges

This is a player that doesn't do any high end 8 man content where LB3s are actively used. Else they'd know they're different. All of em.

Pretty much this. They won't make each job have individual effects, because then it would boil down to "only this job can use the LB, because they have the most advantageous effect."

To be honest, I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen a limit break 3 used. As a white mage, I've never had the opportunity to use mine.

You know what I want? LB in gpose.

If you do 24 man raids, it'll happen reeeeeaaaaal quick.

TBH it's a good thing to not have seen healer LB3 many times, because normally those come out when it's all gone to hell. I think the most unused ones though are Tank LB3s, as they only really have a place in T13 and A12 on a regular basis.

WHM has the least interesting visually of the healer LB3s, but when you get to use it and it actually saves the group it's awesome. I've done it a couple of times where it worked (and a couple of times where we still wiped, it just took longer).

We already have individual LB3's. Have you not seen more than a LB2 go off? The devs are obsessed with balance, they can't have one job have a better LB than another of the same role or it'll start to be preferred in content (yes this happens already to some degree with top-tier groups). And if they all work the same/hit for the same, then why bother? They already all look different at level 3

It'd be nice to see a visual change to all jobs. I'd say keep the tank lb 1 and 2 for paladin, the caster ones for black mage, the healer ones for white mage, the melee dps ones for samurai, scrap the ranged melee ones, and give the ranged melee new ones as well as the rest of the remaining jobs lbs related to said jobs.

Option for a offensive LB for healers and tanks, unless I am in a raid, I never need to use a LB on either of those classes.

PS: We already have a LB (level 3) for each class.

We already got unique LB3 for each class. Don't need unique LB1-LB2, let them work on more important stuff than some sfx you'll use twice in a dungeon.

Remember when all the LB3 were the same according to your role? Except for the special snowflake bard that had the healer LB3?

Yeah, 24 mans healer Lb3 is common. Certain fights require or can meaningfully use tank Lb3 (on Savage/EX), Melee LB3s are very common in Savage/EX content, Caster/Ranged on certain fighters (although caster is strictly better, slightly more potency easier and arguably better range last I checked). But I can't say I'm surprised that some players didn't know or see these. Most 24 man content is a bit too much of a cluster for most people to tell what others are doing, and beyond that there's no 8-man normal content that requires it, many fights end without the DPS even using LB and just letting the meter sit there.

There's even some neat logic behind the visuals. The AST LB3 actually has the player Opening the 7th Gate, the one whom quest NPCs say is either impossible or suicidal, but could potentially let them unravel existence etc. For what it's worth the Encyclopedia Eorzea (lorebook) has a blurb/description for each.

My guess people do see them, they just do not know what they are. In 24 man it is not uncommon to see a caster or range LB from someone outside someone's party. They just don't know enough about the game what they are seeing, or pay attention to it.

For those that do not know, even role wise, like healing LB 3, SCH, WHM, AST look way different, same for tanks.

He thinks himself an “idea artist.” Xygar, It isn’t art if you haven’t put any work into it yourself. You have no idea what some of these things entail for our current environment and specs, and giving links from Anime without any spin or storyline suggested for how it would fit in our environment. And not only that, doing half these things you suggest could get Square Enix in trouble if they humored you: they son’t own the intellectual property rights to copy every concept from Anime and other games. They’ll be seen as mooching, rather than being innovators of their craft. They’d need to improve upon the concept, or drastically change it to aboid being called a blatant copycat.

Plus... half your concepts in other threads would make this game lose what makes it its own game. Unique. A new, unknown ezpedience. I don’t want a bunch of the same. I wanna have my mind blown by how amazing something new from SE’s own creativity.

Hell, this one you didn’t even think through or research beyond “here’s a picture, do this.” Unique Limit Breaks are already IN the game.

I'd prefer Summoner LB3 to be a powered up summon Bahamut instead of a powered up Dreadwyrm Trance. Other than that though the current LB set up is fine.
