How's pvp on your datacenter?

On Primal the maelstrom has organized teams running pretty much 24/7 so anyone of the other nations pretty much has to abandon mount achievement progress and go maelstrom or deal with about 10+ losses per win. Maelstrom doesn't even seem to have to deal with the afk brigade at their base ramp

Astragalos seems to be a much much slower qeueu for what seems to be just utter chaos of maybe 1-2 guys on each team having any clue

and wolves den is kind of same as always getting matched with people that either are way out of your league or completely below

Even before Frontline Freelancer, there was the popular misconception that you HAD to be in Maelstrom to win.

To that, I say, why not create organized Adder/Flame teams? I understand the issue with bots is pretty rampant, but the answer isn't to stack up in one GC to try and avoid the bots. Make friends, build teams, create your communities, that's exactly what we did once before, and we became strong enough that it didn't matter what GC we were. Team strength was defined by skill, not color, and that's not impossible to do even now.

I recently went undercover on Primal for Rival Wings, and though I only did a few matches, they seemed rather coordinated and more aggressive than Aether can be. I saw no one trying to give up and quit, nor overprioritize mid. It was pretty wonderful by comparison.

Let them all join Maelstorm. More food for you.

About Rival Wings, is there dumb guide posted somewhere? In Aether, majority lately gives up so early so easy. Not only that, they apparently has this broken idea that DPS -must- ride mechs AND -grab- tanks. What the hell healers do..

Dead, people set up times to queue occasionally. Tfw 1600 is going to be top 100 this season.

Kind of surprised you say that since on my server it was twin adders if you want to be the winning team for ages. Even had 2 people in my raid group switch to twin adders to farm out the field commander set.
and I've also opened up party finder groups a few times and waited watching netflix and they just timed out without a single person. Shouted in cities only to get the snide comments for replies.

I'm not even talking about some perception of 'they seem to be winning more often' they are literally just base farming other teams for wins

glad your astragalos went well but my general experience with it was just a mass of fighting over no objectives whatsoever in the middle for all eternity while maybe 4 people total are actually playing the game

healers are required to stand around the middle in a cluster of 7 white mages/astrologians(scholars optional) and feel good about themselves as they circlejerk 5k potency heals on eachother.

Pretty Salty TBH. Lots of disrespect and Teabagging. Feels like most PvP players in my Datacenter are 12 Year olds.

Shatter is a toss up between bots or not. About 50 50 chances. I never get Feast matches and now the wolves den is gone. Bad move since i cant get into feast matches. Who's ready for some form of open world pvp?

My favorite pvp is wolf's den /feast (unranked) and I haven't done it in months because it just never pops anymore. I have tried various times of the day and waited 2+ hours on several occasions before giving up.

Frontlines also has a long queue, though nowhere near as long as Wolf's Den. I guess it's alright, depends which one I get, people are generally nice enough. Balancing the teams always sucks though. Sometimes one team has way more healers than another team, so they always last longer no matter what.

It's even worse than just counting bots,
Even a large amount of people actually in it are just "who cares about winning so much XP"

The XP needs to be removed from frontlines in the worst kind of way. PvP has just been a cesspool of the worst kinds of players ever since they did that
They're not in it to win, they're not in it to have fun, they're not in it to PvP... it's just "free XP!"

Rather than see experience removed from PvP I would much prefer to see a tougher approach on illegal activities and match throwing.

I turned on freelancer to see if the flames and Adders have come back to life yet for Shatter...got melted with some bots. Maelstrom isn’t exactly better I’d say, since I can just go into a premade and kill them. I think it’s just there doesn’t tend to be bots rolling with us.

Well, on Chaos (Europe), I wait just like 10-20min for Feast as Melee DPS between 17h (roulette reset) and 1a.m. (sometimes until 2a.m, but depends on people I guess).
Sometimes it's even less or instant.

I'm worried about such topics stoping people from even trying to queue because they could be afraid it could be the same 24h/24. Thx there are our servers written beside, but please think that we don't all know if your servers are from NA, JP or EU by heart.

I haven't played much recently but for frontlines it was Maelstorm with the most wins and Adders and Flames were on an somewhat even level.

As for communication between teammates it's either quiet or people hate on others.

Still I don't think you need to switch to Maelstorm in order to win but trying to find people to play with will definitly help.

It more or less is. Normally I just leave after 7 mins but I let it run and I'm wishing I hadn't wasted the time. Haven't got into a single game in the past few weeks I've been back. The queue did pop twice (at 24 and 28 minutes), but it just timed out. Which more often than not implies there's a role missing, and then after that realisation people just drop queue. Imagine an entire regional DC only having a single healer online that will queue (I doubt it's tanks we're missing).

(PS I sat in this for an hour total in the end, it never popped again)

16 out of top 100 characters queued last reset. That's barely enough to run two consecutive matches, and it was probably 1 match at a time considering healers. No-one in the top 10 for diamond, silver or bronze queued at all.

30min que times are the regular for me unfortunately.. which is sad because i really, REALLY love the pvp in this game..

I finished getting my 100 Astragalos wins on my main on Primal and, after a little break from that mode, played some Astragalos on an Aether alt last Saturday. I was surprised how quickly the team gave up and such a huge lack of callouts or any kind of coordination. The primary salt pillar stood around base complaining until one of my party members went and laughed at him.

I find queues on Primal and Aether to be roughly comparable for Frontlines right now, about 18-25 min. Astragalos is no longer instant, it's more like 5-10 min on Aether, about 5 min on Primal, both during primetime.
