On Primal the maelstrom has organized teams running pretty much 24/7 so anyone of the other nations pretty much has to abandon mount achievement progress and go maelstrom or deal with about 10+ losses per win. Maelstrom doesn't even seem to have to deal with the afk brigade at their base ramp

Astragalos seems to be a much much slower qeueu for what seems to be just utter chaos of maybe 1-2 guys on each team having any clue

and wolves den is kind of same as always getting matched with people that either are way out of your league or completely below

Even before Frontline Freelancer, there was the popular misconception that you HAD to be in Maelstrom to win.

To that, I say, why not create organized Adder/Flame teams? I understand the issue with bots is pretty rampant, but the answer isn't to stack up in one GC to try and avoid the bots. Make friends, build teams, create your communities, that's exactly what we did once before, and we became strong enough that it didn't matter what GC we were. Team strength was defined by skill, not color, and that's not impossible to do even now.

I recently went undercover on Primal for Rival Wings, and though I only did a few matches, they seemed rather coordinated and more aggressive than Aether can be. I saw no one trying to give up and quit, nor overprioritize mid. It was pretty wonderful by comparison.

About Rival Wings, is there dumb guide posted somewhere? In Aether, majority lately gives up so early so easy. Not only that, they apparently has this broken idea that DPS -must- ride mechs AND -grab- tanks. What the hell healers do..

Even before Frontline Freelancer, there was the popular misconception that you HAD to be in Maelstrom to win.

Kind of surprised you say that since on my server it was twin adders if you want to be the winning team for ages. Even had 2 people in my raid group switch to twin adders to farm out the field commander set.
and I've also opened up party finder groups a few times and waited watching netflix and they just timed out without a single person. Shouted in cities only to get the snide comments for replies.

I'm not even talking about some perception of 'they seem to be winning more often' they are literally just base farming other teams for wins

glad your astragalos went well but my general experience with it was just a mass of fighting over no objectives whatsoever in the middle for all eternity while maybe 4 people total are actually playing the game

healers are required to stand around the middle in a cluster of 7 white mages/astrologians(scholars optional) and feel good about themselves as they circlejerk 5k potency heals on eachother.

Shatter is a toss up between bots or not. About 50 50 chances. I never get Feast matches and now the wolves den is gone. Bad move since i cant get into feast matches. Who's ready for some form of open world pvp?

My favorite pvp is wolf's den /feast (unranked) and I haven't done it in months because it just never pops anymore. I have tried various times of the day and waited 2+ hours on several occasions before giving up.

Frontlines also has a long queue, though nowhere near as long as Wolf's Den. I guess it's alright, depends which one I get, people are generally nice enough. Balancing the teams always sucks though. Sometimes one team has way more healers than another team, so they always last longer no matter what.

It's even worse than just counting bots,
Even a large amount of people actually in it are just "who cares about winning so much XP"

The XP needs to be removed from frontlines in the worst kind of way. PvP has just been a cesspool of the worst kinds of players ever since they did that
They're not in it to win, they're not in it to have fun, they're not in it to PvP... it's just "free XP!"
