... Well it's alright, I didn't need that $24 anyways.
That "pretty, please?" emote is screaming buy me and the emerald carbuncle attire looks great.
Is it just me or does that outfit seem custom-made for lalafell females?
Man, time to buy the mount AND the emote!
With all these macrotransactions, this game has a more fleshed out cash shop than some games without sub fees!
Disappointing that they're in the cash shop and not for an event or a drop somewhere.
Really though, $24 bucks for a reused asset with some dressings and a new idle?
I bought it because they use mogstation things to do things like the did with giving us new servers and things like that but yes these things should just be in quests in the game..
Oh well. Let the people who don't mind buying them enjoy their mount, clothes, and emotes.
We just got a really cute free mount. I'm okay thanking them with an additional purchase.
I like that they're different types of carbuncles and not just inflated Emerald and Topaz. Just tickles me better lore-wise.
I'm torn about the Carbuncle outfit tho. Maybe once they introduce the new galmour system. Because that coat is actually sweet, but I'm not sure I want the Carby on the rest of my casters (if non ACN classes can even equip it to begin with)
People complaining because its a Mount that doesn't affect anything in your play style other than it being a vanity item... Lol
If only I played Summoner... will get the mount either way but I shall pass on the attire
When the cash shop first came out, I swore up and down I would never purchase anything from there, that I would not sully the game with paying extra money on top of my sub!
...I may have just blown some fat stacks on an outfit and mount. Damnit SE...
Bought the outfit and the mount. Still waiting on the mount delivery......
YASSS!!! I've been waiting for this for SO LONG.
I was hoping for something good, and I was not disappointed! :)
Yay it finally came in!!
I like to think of it this way. Unlike certain other games, FFXIV stated upfront they would never include anything but vanity items and have kept to that promise for three years now. Even their prices have remained relatively consistent, though I do find some items overpriced (looking at you Choco-clock). I can appreciate it still rubbing people the wrong way but I don't mind it myself because of the aforementioned consistency. And the fact we still get plenty of free mounts and glamour.

I am a very happy Au Ra! And the way it hop-runs, I can't! ♥ ♥ ♥
Pretty disappointed with the decision to put these in mogstation. People are starved for content rn and SE goes and puts this stuff on mogstation lmao
the real reason I'm unsubbed right now. gg SE
Man all the Carbys I'm seeing right now.
SE was immediately swimming in dosh.
It's entirely like a lala store update...
I guess christmas birthday has some perks x.x

Onward to Garlemald; on our battle puppies! (Carbuncle's count as dogs right?)
Except for all those character advancement things they added so you can pay them even more to not play their game.
And we don't get anything in this game for free past level 35. The game has a box price, two expansions and a sub fee. If you don't pay your dues then you lose access to everything you've already paid for.
Also just because it's vanity doesn't make it ok to carve out of the game's rewards and place a second price tag on it. Glamour wouldn't be called the true endgame if cosmetics weren't considered content by a large portion of the MMO community.

Couldnt say if any better myself. I love FF but they have started being no better that the EA or Activision. The increase in outfits, emotes and recycled seasonal items is appalling and all this from a company that still wants you to pay for your space in-game. Some free to plays dont even ask you to do that! Its becoming apparent that SE is getting greedy af...$18 for an outfit? I could get 3 outfits in Warframe with change to spare and its a F2p.
Is the song an exclusivity from CS or was it IG before ?
Here we go... the complains
Buffing summoners was actually the trick so more ppl would buy the mount.
Here's some more comparisons!
GW2 would give you two outfits for that price. F2P game with two expansions ($29.99 each or 49.99 for a bundle of both)
Wilstar would give you two as well. F2P game.
Both games have their costumes account-bound and immediately stored in systems that don't clutter your inventory.
Oh and both have abilities to earn their cash shop content by either trading in game currency (to reduce inflation) or by simply playing the game!
AND on top of all that you can access your content, bought or earned, any time you want with no extra fees!
Oh and you're selling warframe a bit short. $15 can get you 6 immortal skins or 2 tenno suit sets.
With the dungeons being cut from every other major content update, and the servers being moved from one bad spot to another slightly different bad spot, I'm really wondering why xiv seems to cost so much to play....
The fact that you're comparing the optional items sold in the mogstation, to companies that are using lootboxes, is just hilarious. Do I think the prices could be a little lower? Sure, or perhaps the same price and getting both Emerald and Topaz versions. Is the mogstation anywhere near EA/Activision levels of greed? Not really. At least in the mogstation, you know what you're getting, instead of gambling for it.
But this is Final Fantasy and you either pay for what you want in the cash shop or you go without. Price be damned.
Price isn't going to stop those who want to get the items and that's the simple truth. Also, yes, those are F2P games.
Which means they don't get the same kind of care and updates that a subscription game would.
Which also means they need to do more to entice players so they can compete with subscription based games.
Edit
Also you sound incredibly bitter. Why are you playing if you're so unhappy?
Where would they have put it? Behind a quest or new game mode that would have taken time and resources to develop and therefore wouldn't have been here until 4.2 at the earliest anyway? The problem is we still don't have a relic weapon to grind for but I doubt these had anything to do with it
I want this instead.

Very pretty, but even the sale prices are more than I'd spend IF the items like the mounts/outfits were account wide for a digital accessory. $8 for an account wide mount is the most I'd be willing to part with.
