Not the cheap one with moveback+strafe, but a legit backpedal similar to the Standard camera?
If not possible, why? I really don't understand whats stopping this from be a possibility.

Please keep backpedaling away from the Legacy controls.
It would be nice to have a toggle command or button you could put on your hotbar, but I wouldn't want them to actually change the default controls in any way to allow for it.
It's worth noting that if you toggle into first-person mode, you can backpedal from there.
Backpedal is BAD bro.
The whole point of legacy mode is so that we're not encumbered by facing-based movement though.
The whole reason I turned legacy mode on was to get away from backpedalling.
Lock on first. There, you are duly encumbered with backpedal.
Personally, I use standard controls (with a lot of camera-turning and strafing) and do like having backpedal available for niche situations in tanking, and could understand people wanting the option for S to back into the camera instead, but these are really rare situations, especially given as you already lose the only advantages of having a backpedal whenever you'd use A or D simultaneously. You'd probably be better off just having a text-command that, when bound, allows you to easily swap between control systems.
Hope not, backpedaling is the worst thing for mechanics.
Why does Legacy movement need a backpedal? My camera is zoomed out to max when I play when I run backwards it's usually to avoid an aoe or something or to run from a mechanic.
Please no. The Reason I use Legacy is because I can't avoid AOE with Backpaddle
Like Shurrikhan said, once you're locked onto something, you can backpedal and strafe all you want.
That's your "possibility".
Outside of combat, backpedaling and strafing are useless.
Ohgodplzno.
It's just as bad as those people using A and D keys to turn left and right.
