Not the cheap one with moveback+strafe, but a legit backpedal similar to the Standard camera?
If not possible, why? I really don't understand whats stopping this from be a possibility.

Please keep backpedaling away from the Legacy controls.
It would be nice to have a toggle command or button you could put on your hotbar, but I wouldn't want them to actually change the default controls in any way to allow for it.
It's worth noting that if you toggle into first-person mode, you can backpedal from there.
Backpedal is BAD bro.

The whole point of legacy mode is so that we're not encumbered by facing-based movement though.

The whole reason I turned legacy mode on was to get away from backpedalling.

Lock on first. There, you are duly encumbered with backpedal.
Personally, I use standard controls (with a lot of camera-turning and strafing) and do like having backpedal available for niche situations in tanking, and could understand people wanting the option for S to back into the camera instead, but these are really rare situations, especially given as you already lose the only advantages of having a backpedal whenever you'd use A or D simultaneously. You'd probably be better off just having a text-command that, when bound, allows you to easily swap between control systems.

Why would you want to backpedal and why wouldn't you use standard camera mode for it?
because why have 2 separate modes if they can do the same thing. I don't even understand Standard camera mode, tbch. I would never turn my camera away from a boss just to run away.
Hope not, backpedaling is the worst thing for mechanics.
