Ability to Buy Dungeon Gear

Is there anyway a vendor can be added that sells dungeon gear for tomes or some other item? I'd even be happy with a higher verity cost for some of the gear. It seems a bit ridiculous I can get multiple pieces of raid gear from tomes or drops in a week, but In three weeks of running The Sunken City of Skalla 3 or more times a day I have yet to see the Fending body drop, and I've seen the Striking body drop once (didn't win it since I was on PLD). Adding this option for all the expansion capped dungeons would be nice as well with the old ones being bought with Poetics (lvl50,60,70). This won't stop people from running dungeons as they will still queue for roulette, and it will free up people's time to do stuff besides spamming dungeons for a glamour they want

I'm a fan of the idea of 50,60,70 dungeon completion giving direct loot of one piece for your current job, like the leveling dungeons do. That way, there is still randomness involved, but at least there'll be an upper limit to the number of times you have to run a dungeon before seeing the piece you want.

You are meant to get dungeon or tome gear? Um no you aren't. Dungeon gear is just two things. Glamour and a boost to ilvl until you get the basic tome gear and Omega gear.

How would it stop people from running them? The majority of people only run them for roulette for the daily bonuses then move onto other things in game that are actually meant to be spammed. dungeons are specifically made to be short because SE knows people don't want to be in dungeons for a long time every day. They've specifically stated this in live letter before. What's the point of having roulette if I have no reason to use it if I'm getting all my tomes from spamming one dungeon for gear.

I'd be ok with this too, it's available in the lvling dungeons, I don't understand why they didn't add it to these dungeons as well.

This makes up a pretty big part of things people have to do. Take it away and that's one less thing for people to do to occupy themselves. RNGeebus is a bastard, everyone knows this, but it would indeed reduce dungeon runs overall if you remove the necessity to actually dungeon crawl for gear. Roulettes are once a day after all.

People already ignore 50/60 Roulette half the time and Leveling needed a Cluster incentive to boost tank and healer activity. Even if it wouldn't be significantly, allowing people to buy dungeon gear just removes another reason they'll spam a relevant dungeon.

making everything 100% stagnates content, look at the fox lady fates, barely anyone runs it anymore cuz you 100% the trade in.

adding the gear as a crafted lvl 1 piece lets anyone wear it and gives crafters more to do. Which is a win win. That way you get the gear lil to no farm.

If they'd add option to buy dungeon gear with say, tokens, I would actually keep doing dungeons for the items.

As of now, I have done Drowned City of Skalla who knows how many times and haven't even SEEN piece of healer nor tank gear drop. You really think I'd be excited and happy to keep farming gear that might never even drop?

I prefer they make it so you get a item at the end of the instance, just like with the 61-69 dungeons.

Hell, take out the random chests between the bosses that drop gear that way there isn't much more gear dropping and make it so you receive one item from your corresponding job at the end like the 61-69 dungeons. I've seriously ran Skalla 15 times in the last two days on top of the 60 or so I did in the past two weeks prior (I started this sometime before Halloween, so a bit more than 2 weeks, not counting the last two days) and I've yet to see the one thing I'm going for drop. That is 75 runs. That is stupid. Normally I wouldn't go for something like this, but I want the fending body for a specific glamour. I've not even seen the fending legs drop from the boss, not that I want them.

I just finished getting the healer set from skalla yesterday. It wasn't tons of fun but I probably wouldn't want them to just make things buyable. Even the leveling dungeon method of one guaranteed drop might be a little too much. I think they should probably increase the number of drops per chest though.

If you start collecting all the pieces of loot from a dungeon and keep going on the same job you eventually get all the loot in that dungeon because you get a guaranteed drop at the end just make sure you keep all the gear from that dungeon in your inventory. Its how I got a lot of the Shisui sets. Usually takes like about 5 or so runs before you get a full set.

What is this about guaranteed drops?

I'm for this provided it's a reasonable amount of runs and NOT for anything outside 24-man content. My reason? Since patch 2.1, in constant runs pre 2.2 (had to get 4 pieces total back then to replace tank body and legs) and periodically since, I have seen the tank hands drop from labyrinth of the ancients maybe 3x. THREE times in four years. I would want to see where you run skalla say 4 times you get a token each time. The four times (or more. Max of 20.) allows you to trade a token in for let's say hands for desired job. After you get ANY piece, be it via tokens or from a direct drop, you stop accumulating tokens and cannot hand them in for any new piece to keep the weekly lockout. Four times could in theory apply to belt too. Legs and body 8x. Feet 6 runs. Head also 6. Square could tweak these numbers to their liking. For the older 60 and 50 24-man content, it's three runs to get any piece for any slot. The three runs is reasonable because it's outdated.

For dungeons I hate to agree but it would cause people to not run them. Doing like Omega and Alexander would be reasonable but it needs to be any piece for the week. The amount of runs I gave is a reasonable amount and the lockout is reasonable and prevents abuse while encouraging a set amount of grinding. Square could even make the tokens only drop once a day to encourage running it daily to get the tokens (then the absolute max for any piece should be 6 to make sure you can get A PIECE a week-even if it's tank body).
